I found Anna via Yelp, and finding a day/time to book was a breeze. Made it to my appointment, and Anna answered the door, and led me to where the magic happens. Sat on the hair, and I was leaned back. First time having that at a brow wax appointment! We chatted, discussed some preferences, etc., but it was mostly me asking her for her advice cause I'm rather low maintenance and had no clue on what would shape my face and whatnot. Anna asked if I used anything for my face, reaction, etc., which was great. She was really honest about my brows and didn't need much because they are naturally full and such. Yay I suppose, lol. She then worked on them, and I closed my eyes for the process. Measurements, the waxing, etc. Pretty painless, and no redness afterwards! I felt completely relaxed the whole time that my Garmin boosted my body battery. Whole process took around 20 - 25 mins. Great stuff and very efficient. A much needed clean up, and my brows have never looked better. Will definitely come back when I need another professional brow wax.

However, I decided to play with getting the idea of just getting the under arch waxed and the top tweezed in hopes of not breaking out. I reached out to Evelyn to see if this was an option and she agreed to do so with the disclaimer that they may not look as polished as they would with wax which was a risk I was willing to take. It has now been a few days since I got them done and NO breakouts for the 1st time in my history of eyebrow treatments! Evelyn also wiped the area down with an alcohol prep pad afterward. You can make an appointment online, but it probably would not be too long of a wait if you just walk in. I've also been to the Concord location, which is usually busier. If you've never had threading done it might seem like a strange sensation the first time, but you quickly get used to it. It doesn't hurt, and in my experience it's better (and less risk of breakouts and bad skin reactions) than waxing.

I seen the work on my friend and had to have them for myself. I called and made my appointment. Thuy was very professional and kind on the phone. The salon was very clean and the decor is very pretty. Thuy was very gentle and detailed. You can tell she really takes pride in her workmanship and made sure my brows were perfect. She immediately understood what I wanted--at one point, I just made a curtain bangs-like motion with my hands and she got it right away. She also took the time to study the reference picture I brought and asked how closely I wanted to follow it. She checked in about the length, whether I wanted it shorter, and suggested soft layers so the cut would not look flat. In fact, I was down the street and was in the chair within 10 minutes of calling. Eun Joo kept my length, did only a trim with long layers, exactly as requested! I am always fearful more will be taken off than I want, as that is normally what happens. SO THANKFUL that was not the case today! A friend of mine (he's a dad too) said that he took his son to UBB and got a cut from Leah. We have Asian (thicker) hair and wanted a particular style (low taper fade with texture cut up top). My son went with 'low' expectation but after the cut was completed, he was thrilled at the outcome. Just as he wanted (and showed on his phone from the various research that he did). The haircut came with shampoo and blow dry too. It was very, very responsible in terms of cost too ($40 + tip). The salon is also very chic with seating, beverages as well. I will likely come back for my own haircut as well. *Note: Leah's English is a bit limited so just be aware.
