Very discouraging experience yesterday. I scheduled an appointment for a volume 3 week fill. Claudia had car problems & needed to reschedule later in the day (twice). No problem, rescheduled. I get there & Claudia sets up, gets to looking at my lashes (no gloves on). She agreed my last lash tech placed my extensions way too close to the root. For whatever reason Claudia starts manually trying to remove the lashes. Claudia stated she'd start fresh with a new set, but "wasn't sure about time". The removal felt like she was plucking each root out one by one. As nice as I could, I asked if we could just remove the lashes, and give them a break. I asked if she happened to have the chemical remover. I've removed my prior lash tech's work multiple times using $9.99 remover from amazon. As a professional, Claudia struggled getting the lashes off. She claimed she applied the chemicals 3x. Which started to burn my eyes. She didn't use any liquid remover or cleanser after. She stated I needed a keratin treatment. Claudia wiped my painful, raw eyelids with a dry cloth & applied the keratin. An hour later, Claudia mentioned her "time" and removal would be $150. I went home tripping off the price. I look on her website and a removal is $35. You guys... that's $115 extra. Plus I tipped?! I couldn't get that price out of my head. I went in expecting to pay $80+, that doubled, and come to find out the service I got done should have been $35? I texted Claudia & she explained I changed my mind "halfway through" (of her plucking my lashes out) and that she charged for the chemical removal, time + keratin treatment (that I didn't request OR ask for). As a professional, she should have 100% known to use chemical remover if she was going to start fresh. Not subject a client to getting lashes plucked out one by one, my eyes watering, face flinching. It appears that Claudia has some happy, loyal clients, her pictures show her lashing looks great. Just a fair warning; if you're a new client - maybe you'll get overcharged 4x over like I did. When texting Claudia she stood by her work and even mentioned "fixing" someone else's work. At the end of the day, nothing was fixed... I got a very painful removal. And a keratin treatment I didn't ask for. I understand Claudia's going to respond to this review & place blame on me, "I wanted a fill, then I "changed my mind". I'm under the impression she expected fill money and I guess I was fair game to double it for the hour. It's not right. read more

I'll start off by saying I thought the lashes looked nice and Claudia was sweet. The reason for the 2 star review was for the overall sus experience - lashes and brows. I'll also preface that I've gotten lashes done for almost 10 yrs on and off by 5 different lash artists. I went here for the first time a few weeks ago before a trip for a full hybrid set. Claudia reached out the day before the appointment to push out my appointment by a few hours since she had someone recently schedule an appointment within the same hour window. No biggie for me but I can understand the other people's reviews and frustrations around the scheduling, especially if it was cancelled or if I couldn't move it. Once the lashes were completed and I opened my eyes, I felt lots of poking on my eyelid/lash line, which I had never experienced before. Claudia said she also had never had that happen with a client either. I thought it was the placement of the lashes being too close to my skin or the thickness of the lashes. As the lashes fall off, I'm realizing it was a combo of the amount of glue used and type of lashes used. It's not the best quality imo and the glue is just too much. Also, in my experience when it's a hybrid set, it's usually a mixture of singles and fanned lashes but it seems like Claudia primarily/only used fanned lashes (she said she did this because she knew I was going to be in water). I appreciated the thought but I just wish she would have told me that during the session as she was gluing because I would have told her that I prefer more singles than fanned. The fanned lashes here are also thicker and even thicker with the amount of glue. Claudia did end up having to remove some of the fanned lashes because of the discomfort the poking was causing. The removal process was a very PAINFUL experience. Claudia did provide some cleansing wash for the lashes free of charge because of this, which I thought was nice. Onto brows... Claudia asked if I wanted my brows done which I didn't intend on getting done there. I asked how much and she answered $15 so I said sure, why not; it saved me a trip to my brow spot for a similar ish price. Claudia ended up tweezing the bottom to clean it up and waxing the top. In the end, Claudia charged me $20. I said "I thought it was $15..." Apparently, Claudia charges an extra $5 to tweeze, which again, I wish she would have been more transparent. Felt like she was being a little shady. I've never heard of an extra charge for tweezing; it usually comes with the overall thread/wax in my experience. Also said she only accepted Venmo, cash, and Zelle but couldn't write in the comments that it was for a lash service, which I also found to be odd and a tad sus. Overall, would I personally go back? She needed to reschedule last minute, ok fine that happens. I arrive the next day within 5 min of our appointment time, she rushes through my lashes in 15 minutes. I've been getting lashes for years at different places so I was surprised a new full set could be done that fast. I mentioned it it a nice way and she remarked I was "late" so she had to rush to make her next appointment. Strange. I look at my lashes when I'm leaving and it looked so cheap and bad, all the lashes were the same length and clumpy. The worst lash job I've ever had. I have been going to Claudia for my lash extensions for a couple months now and I love her work. Every time my lashes have looked perfect and exactly like we had discussed I wanted. I go every 3 weeks to get them filled and they still look good by the time I go in. I get a hybrid classic- I wanted a little bit more than my normal lashes but I still wanted them to look natural. I think she does a great job at picking extensions that fit my eye shape as well. She is careful with her work, and ensures my natural lashes stay healthy. She works quick as well! My appointments are about an hour and the quality is equal if not better to places I've spent 2.5+ hours laying on the table. I've never ever had any work done on my lashes, and I always used to use a curler every day and it never sticks or stay curled so finally I came here, and oh my goodness. I've waited nearly 2 weeks to write this review so I could provide a full recap of the experience and the quality and longevity of the work. Lashes applied 7/5, and they looked good until about 7/14. I very much wanted this to be my new Lash Haven, but after reflecting on overall experience, I will not return. She did ask me to leave her a good review at the end of the service, but my reviews remain honest, so I will share the good, the bad, and the worrisome. Like most people here, I came upon Claudia via Groupon. There did seem to be some animosity toward the redemption versus being a full price customer, but Ive experienced that plenty places so I tried to brush it off. Her studio is a quaint room within a spa. The room is nicely decorated, and offers a mostly relaxing experience. I was disappointed that she didn't have any previous photos of what the "classic mink set" looks like. I feel like if that's the deal you're offering, you should be able to share examples so the client knows what to expect. With that said, maybe I asked too many questions- but these are my EYES we are talking about! I only have one set! And I had a lot of important meetings and events coming up in the next couple weeks that I needed to look nice for. So after a little back and forth on what look I wanted vs what look the groupon price was good for, she said "I'll just give you what you paid for and you'll see it" I'll be honest, at this point I felt a little pressured to lay down and just let her do her thing. In retrospect, I have to echo the concerns of some of the other reviewers here- the bed was not covered in any sanitary way. Just blankets and a pillow which I find it very hard to imagine that she switches between clients. So cleanliness is a concern here. Additionally, to be fair- she MAY HAVE sanitized her hands before beginning the application, but if she did I was unaware. I do really deeply believe she should wear gloves during this type of service, especially because she does have very long nails. The service itself was quick and pleasant enough. She did apply the protection pads for my lower lashes a bit too high so they were rubbing my eyeballs the entire service, so my eyes were constantly watering. We chatted throughout, which made it feel faster. She was done after about 40 minutes. She warned me that my eyes were a little red and that it should go away in a few days, which it did. But in the interim I had ugly red eyes for a few days which is embarrassing in a professional environment! See photos attached. The lashes themselves looked nice and she mentioned that she added more volume than she should have based on my groupon. They were mostly even, but it was noticeable that she focused more on the right eye than the left, which left me self conscious about showing off my new lashes even more. The lashes wore well, and I really put them to the test. After a makeover, a day swimming at the beach, and 3 days of hard partying at my bachelorette, many of the lashes are still intact, though now a bit spotty. But it has been almost 10 days, so there's that. read more

Today I had a very strange experience with Claudia the owner. This is the second time I meet her. We had an appointment scheduled for today at 5:30 pm. I had blocked my afternoon and moved my patients around to be done early at the office and be there on time which is a 45 min drive. She texted me saying she needed to cancel due to a family matter and asked me to reschedule. When I told her I was going to call a few places to see if they can take me as a walk-in since I have a date tomorrow evening she then told me to come in at 5:30 and she would do my lashes really nice. I told her I would do my best to leave even earlier and get there before. I texted her 10 minutes before my appointment to let her know I was driving around and was a bit lost and apologized. She then cancelled my appointment and asked me Venmo her $35. I called her to ask her why I needed to pay but she would not let me get a word in. I also said I was there for my appointment and she needed to leave. She became flustered and said her mom was dying at the hospital in SF but earlier she said mom was getting discharged. I felt horrible since I practice medicine myself and work for a hospital. Anyways I tried to Venmo her but she blocked me on Venmo. I then texted her to let her know and sent her the $35 by Apple Pay. First time I saw her two weeks ago I gave her a very generous tip and paid over $200 for a classic. I will not be returning since I'm blocked from Venmo and can't pay her. She's also kind of rude and not very professional so I agree with other 1 star review from her other client. read more

Her phone does not have a business sounding answering machine, so she ended up texting me back. I came to Claudia for my first set of false lashes and was very nervous. I have gotten styes before and was nervous that putting anything on my eyes would cause them to come back. When I brought this concern up to Claudia she recommended putting some of the glue on my skin and come back in 48 hours to make sure I did not have an allergic reaction. I was extremely impressed by this because I had already booked two hours of her time for that particular day. But she wanted to do it right. When the day came, she made sure I was comfortable she was a joy to talk to you in the lashes look fantastic! She gave me tips to ensure they lasted as long as possible, and certainly they did.
