This is such a cute little mountain market! We've gone here a couple times over different trips to Ashford and it's conveniently located to where we normally stay. They have fun little gifts as well as a good snack selection. You can also get ice cream here which is fun. We usually come by here to grab drinks for the cabin and that was the case again this time. We were able to grab milk and they have a nice selection of wine as well. All of the cashiers that we've encountered have also been really nice. Overall this is a great little market stop if you're in need of some odds and ends when in Ashford/Elbe! read more

This is a cute stop on your way out of the Natl. park. They have great ice cream choices! Lemon cheesecake was delicious. And staff were very efficient with large tour groups of people. read more

Oh my gosh, this is the cutest store in the whole world. I think the cashier's name was Halley. She was super friendly answered all my questions. This store has such a cool vibe with local foods and local arts. The ambience was amazing. Customer service was amazing and it was conveniently located right on the highway right in the middle of downtown. The little town of Elbe is so charming and cute - as a native Texan it immediately reminded me of some of our charming small towns. It's a quick drive-through, but on my way to Mt. Rainier my mom and I spotted this little country store in Elbe and saw a sign advertising coffee and snacks etc. We decided to come back when returning to Tacoma from Mt. Rainier and this little shop didn't disappoint! It's like a big gift shop, and they have a coffee bar with lots of options. I got a lavender London fog, and my mom got a mocha breve with almond and coconut. I think they were both 16 oz and it cost $14.50 incl tax and tip? So not too bad. They also had candy and drinks (ie road trip food), and again little Knick knack gifts and pretty handmade things. They had some free info brochures too. They did have a single bathroom stall in the back, it was clean and thankfully I didn't have to wait in any line. There was good foot traffic in and out of this place though so be mindful. And they do a rewards punch card, so if you go to Rainier often, get your stamps in and get a free coffee! read more

After a long hike we stopped here for a drink. I knew I was going to get a coffee to enjoy after the cold. I opted for a lavender drink. The lady who took my order made my order to my preference. I browsed the store while I waited and enjoyed the views of the store in the meantime. It's a beautiful space. Got my drink and it was delicious. I was not expecting to have a great coffee here but well..it was GREAT! I also love that they even have hemp milk as an option, that's not common. I visited the next day and tried a lavender vanilla latte , that one I did not care for but the classic latte is the way to go! read more

My family and I stopped by this place because I was craving an iced coffee after a day at Mt Rainier. I ordered an iced white chocolate mocha. The staff greeted us when we came in, told us about their ice cream selection as well as coffee/espresso selection. The staff made my drink rather quickly and it was great! We have stopped here many times on our way to the goat rocks wilderness. It's always been a good experience. Yesterday, we were beyond disappointed. Not only does the store look like it has put everything in storage, but the service was awful. It was a Sunday morning and there were 3 employees working behind the counter. The man who appeared to be in charge was actually berating customers and absolutely ruining every coffee drink he handed out. To be fair, he did admit to one customer that he's not a barista. After we ordered, he yelled at the young woman he was working with, "no more coffee! Shut it down!".. this was presumably because of his annoyance and not because the machine was malfunctioning or they were out of coffee beans. We should have just walked out, but we had already paid, so decided to wait it out. We got our "iced coffees" which were lukewarm at best. Took a sip, and left the coffee behind. They were pretty bad. Look, I know the pandemic changed things (I work in healthcare for goodness sake! I get it!) and Elbe is not a bustling metropolis with potential employees knocking down the door, but the one guy ruined that place for us. We will not be back. It's gone so far downhill and is no longer a cute stop for coffee.. it's an uncomfortable place to be yelled at by the guy who paws at an espresso machine until something resembling coffee comes out. read more

We needed a pick-me-up on our road trip and this was the perfect place to stop! We got lavender & honey latte and blackberry almond latte, which were both SO GOOOD! Ordered a white chocolate mocha, ended up with essentially white hot chocolate because the guy working the espresso machine didn't put any espresso in it. It took 15 minutes before it was cool enough to drink, and initially I thought oh, it's just a layer of foam on the top or something along those lines. But as I kept drinking it, it was clearly not just a layer of something, it was the whole drink. I opened the lid and sure enough not a hit of an espresso ever being put in the drink. We've stopped by a half dozen times now on our way back from Paradise. They have an old-town feel while carrying quality modern and local products. Sometimes they even have artisans in house. Most of the items for sale are food related, including local beer and wine. Two highlights: 1. The coffee- they serve Olympia Coffee Roasters and also sell their bags of whole beans. Their Americanos rival anything you'd get in Seattle. Someone on Yelp (below) was unimpressed by their lack of blended/sweet drinks... but they serve very quality coffee and pour good shots here... the coffee cart down the road might be more your style if you don't want quality coffee and charged extra for a drink blended with milk and syrups. They are the real deal here. 2. The ice cream- they have Olympic Mountain Ice Cream which is hands down the best stuff ever. And in a waffle cone, without charging you an arm and a leg. A scoop of the espresso chip (along with an Americano) is about the best way I can think to refuel for the drive home after a long day in the mountains. The owners and employees are very laid back and friendly, and obviously care about what they sell and make their store a welcoming place to shop and relax (benches, couches). We made sure to make a stop here this year after finding this little gem last year on the way to Mt.Rainier. We love their ice cream (in a waffle cone of course), including some seasonal favors like huckleberries sourced locally. I am not a soda fan, but they have a large vintage soda collection, which is super cool. They also have espresso and latte. The coffee is not that impressive but this is not in the heart of Seattle and sometimes you may need coffee to help with driving, : ) read more

The moment my family and I walked into the store we stared at. I was followed around the store by a worker. This store does not feel accommodating for a person of color. I would never go back to this store again. I wouldn't recommend to this place for people of color. Micro-aggression in this store was intense. All i can say is wow! We stopped for coffee here, the service was amazing,and nice and cool inside about 65 I think...it was a hot day and our A/C in the car quit working. They recently opened after remodeling from top to bottom and have some really nice up scale craft beers, cheeses, and other treats. very worth the stop! The staff was very knowledgeable about the local area and had a lot of info to share...They have local art and metal sculptures...very cool place to stop with the kids.
