The place I used last year - no longer does it, the place I used the year before - no longer does it. I had to search & make a few phone calls before I found a place. Quick and efficient, the state does not seem to pay facilities to do these emissions testing enough for them to continue from year to year. It pretty much brings folks to establishments, which in turn, brings awareness of the business. My vehicle is not that old, still under warranty. I would love to support this shop, once I don't have warranty coverage. Next time I need emissions they probably won't be doing it. Our state needs to support the effort better.

Date of visit: May 12, 2024…read more I had a need for a short term vehicle to move a mattress for a family member that couldn't be bothered to assist even though it was a free mattress for them, but I digress. The local Home Depots had no reservations available for weeks, but this U Haul had vans available same day, on a Sunday! Reserving online was relatively painless and even though there were a ridiculous amount of steps involved such as scanning every angle of my driver's license, the system walked me through the process. I arrived at the location and was a bit dismayed that the only parking for customers was a handful of 15 minute spots near the front door. Not seeing anything else, I rolled the dice. The app required even more info from me when I arrived (good thing I did bring my passport with me, just in case!) and within a few minutes, I was ready to go. The site told me that vans were on the east side of the building, near storage so that's where I headed. I encountered an employee on a bike who advised that vans were actually directly across from the building and just so happened to be immediately across from my car. He also directed me where to go when I returned. After a couple minutes, I was on my way with the van. The vehicle was pretty clean and in good condition, no issues there. Only issue was the wait when I returned, it took a good 10 minutes for him to come meet me at our designated spot, but then check out was painless!

BAD ATTITUDES LIVE HERE…read more I stopped at this U-Haul to fill my 40 Lb. Propane tank during my lunch hour. As I drove in, an employee in the yard yelled out that someone would be right with me. So I waited for at least 10 minutes. When no one showed up, I went inside and the woman behind the counter said someone would be with me soon. So I went outside and waited. Another 10 minutes went by and no one showed up. I approached a trainee at the facility who said he would let them know I was waiting. This particular trainee showed concern that I had been waiting - a rare positive interaction. I waited for 10 minutes and no one showed up so I went inside again and the woman behind the counter didn't even look up to aknowledge I was there. So now 30 minutes of my 1 hour lunchtime had elapsed and I was still waiting. I went back to my vehicle and waited a little longer but then decided to go inside one more time to see how long I could expect someone to assist in dispensing Propane. I saw a large black man with a beard wearing a brown shirt (or possibly brown overalls) who worked at the facility and I asked when I could expect help. I told him I had been waiting at least 30 minutes. He then had the audacity and gall to correct me by saying that was not true as he had seen me drive in. He promptly walked away. I got back into my vehicle and drove off. I was flabbergasted that an employee would respond with such a negative tone to a paying customer. I had wasted almost 40 minutes of my 1 hour lunch break waiting for a Propane fill that never happened. Furthermore, I was insulted by the man who insinuated that I had lied regarding the amount of time I had waited. In hindsight, I should have read the myriad 1-star reviews posted about this particular facility. If I had, I would have saved myself the trouble of attempting to spend my money at this local U-Haul. I hope others learn from my - and other reviewers - experiences, and choose a different facility where the staff shows appreciation not indifference towards customers that ultimately pay their salary.

And we're expecting that truck. We then called the customer service line, which then they stated they had no more trucks in the state and did nothing to help us with our situation. Definitely do not recommend this company to anyone.
