I have never loved - or even liked - a hardware store until now. It's perfect. Incredible selection, reasonable prices. Every time I go in, I notice more beauty than the last time. The shelves are stocked and with intention. I normally wouldn't comment on this, but it's so noticeable. The people are amazing and seem genuinely happy to be there. Everyone I've interacted with has been friendly and the employees I needed help from were warm, invested, and beyond helpful. And the nursery... It's perfect. So much beauty, so much care. We've brought home several gorgeous, healthy plants. It's so nice being in this store that we frequently find reasons to buy from them. My husband said that Ace was "built on a single screw". I purchased several healthy perennials last year from Ace on highway 58 and I was so excited to see them in my planters this year. They did not come back. Sadly it's not the first time. Several years ago I did the same thing. I bought bushes and a few plants at that time After twice now, I won't buy any more there. My son in law goes to the Barn Nursery and has had great success. So, I will go there from now on. Besides, Ace is too high. If you need something quick it's fine but I can go elsewhere and get things cheaper and the quality is just as good. read more

I love Ace Hardware!!! The gardening center during the spring-summer is always great, but the best time is early season to make sure you get what you're wanting and it also be in good shape! I am only giving 4 stars due to the customer service. The lady working the outdoor section was not willing to help us at all, she was busy having her own family gathering within the isle & told us we would get the help we needed once we got inside and purchased our items.... Once we got to someone else to help, they were kind and helpful & we were able to get on our way to start our outdoor projects! read more

We love Ace Hardware. It is 5 minutes from our house and they have many things we need for projects. Their new garden area is beautiful and I love the indoor plant area along with the vegetable area. So convenient!! Plus we love supporting local businesses! read more

Lots of hard-to-find items are normal stocked and the staff is always extremely knowledgeable regarding inventory and item locations. The last time I was in, Ryan went to extraordinary measures to ensure the cabinet hinges I needed were the correct size and type- thanks again, Ryan! The outside garden area is gorgeous and well-maintained. I get almost all my organic plants here. Cleveland is lucky to have such a great hardware store with a dedicated, personable, helpful staff- a refreshing change from most big box stores. read more

I think this is the largest Ace store in Chattanooga. It is well stocked and has lots of different stuff. I've gotten keys made here and have browsed through the store a few times. It's amazing how much stuff they have. Not just tools and hardware stuff, but outdoor furniture and garden stuff. They even have things that women would like; candles, soap, lotions, etc. My favorite lotion is sold at Ace as a matter of fact. I always grab a tube or two when I'm there. read more

This Ace is local to me so I cant speak on others but the garden section is one of the best for price and quality especially this year. They have a great variety and I was pretty much able to find everything I needed. Also the staff are great they are quick to help you find what you need and answer questions you may have. read more

The most unhelpful place. Been there numerous times and each time the service is worse

Let me start by saying I love hardware stores... so much so when I'm on vacation I try to check out the local hardware store. normally I really enjoy ace hardware.......particularly this location even if mostly due to convenience. I am in this location easily weekly. On this occasion I needed to make a small return.... total purchase amount was around $6. I didn't have my receipt...my bad I realize but needed another item so I figured an exchange would be no problem....... even if it were a problem due to w policy I would've understood.... I understand company policies and procedures..., the issue is a policy is never mentioned or discussed... it is the way it was dealt with based on emotion..... an eye roll.... the sigh...the questioning.... the double checking the computer...... I also should've mentioned..... I don't require much friendliness or over the top friendliness... usually just a small amount of courtesy goes a long way. But after the one one cashier that seemed to take it personally I wanted to exchange the $6 worth of merchandise with I saw a manager opened a register so thought would receive some professionalism from..... of it were against policy explainatiom etc..... but received same from her. I offered to just keep the 2 items and would've tossed in the trash but after several sighs....more questioned she let me exchange for the over priced roll of Christmas ribbon. In future I will do better job of keeping up with my receipt...maybe they could work on professionalism. read more

Avoid this store at all cost it is like most of the rest of the ace hardware stores not worth the headache go to Lowe's or Home Depot if you would like better service and quality. Attempted to buy something as simple as weed killer and was going to be charged an additional five dollars for one bottle due to I did not have an ace card reward member and it would take a minimum of 1 to 3 business days to take affect. Unlike most any other store in the world who would have ordered the rewards card the day of the purchase the unintelligent barely teenager at the register was not capable of comprehending these particular actions. Every time I have ever been in the staff is the most unknowledgeable under trained people I have ever asked a question. You are much better off going to somewhere that has people trained and what department you are needing help with. This holds very true to most every ace hardware I have ever visited. read more

This store used to be good, with mostly friendly associates. For the last year the people working there are incredibly rude. I don't know what happened, but it's not even worth shopping there because of how rude they are. You are better off driving out of the way to shop at another store. read more
