There were multiple times when I would have questions during our quarterly meeting, for my advisor to say she would get back to me, only for me to never hear back again. In the beginning, she was great and super responsive but I noticed a drastic drop in responsiveness after a couple of months. Only when I call to follow up after a week of not hearing back, would I finally get a response. I soon realized that if I did not follow up personally, there wasn't a response at all. This has happened at least 4 times within the year. I even began questioning myself and started googling the normal timeframe an FA is supposed to get back to you but at the end of the day, I should be getting a response without following up. Overall, I liked my advisor and she was helpful in many different ways and was very personable.

I had checked out attorneys who were either not interested, or charged exorbitant fees. Ashley and her team went to work right away, and kept in close communication with me. Fees were very reasonable for monthly management and she handled the situation calmly, competently and most of all, courteously. With zero communication from our tenant, she posted an eviction notice on our tenant's front door after unsuccessful response. After a day or two of ignoring the notice, our tenant did call, came into the office, was sobbing, but hostile. With counseling from Ashley, the tenant was advised that she could get Covid related rent relief payment for up to one year back rent, and three months forward from United Way/United Uplift, and the situation changed. The program was due to expire in a week, and Ashley helped the computer challenged tenant to apply online. We are still in the process of receiving the anticipated rent payments because of so many applications to review. If this doesn't work out, I will get back to Ashley with Plan B...going to court and having the tenant evicted. All I can say is BRAVO Ashley! Beautifully, diplomatically engineered! They charge me to clean the pool after they didn't turn the electricity on to keep the pump going the pool turn green they also charge 10% late fee on your rent if you're more than three days late. After making the house show room ready for new tenants they charge me $300 for the cleaning service because I forgot a vent in the bathroom. Is that it was filthy when I moved in.

My experience with Cal Coast Credit Union has been nothing short of exhausting, frustrating, and disappointing -- especially when it comes to how they've handled a serious case of fraud on my account. Back in early June, a scammer linked their own PayPal and Cash App accounts to my Cal Coast account and stole money without my full understanding or permission. I filed a fraud dispute immediately -- but instead of helping me, Cal Coast denied the dispute, saying I "authorized" the charges just because a code was involved. And it was "directly from the phone"That's not how fraud works first off ok cal coast. What's worse is they admitted it was fraud, but said they don't owe me anything because it would be "their loss." Since when is that an excuse to leave your customer with stolen money, a damaged credit score, and no support? They told me to go chase down the companies myself, contacting PayPal and Cash App -- even though I don't even use those services and never had an account with the scammer's name on it. I was forced to do all the legwork alone, while Cal Coast refused to escalate, investigate properly, or even communicate clearly. They made me wait weeks only to be told "we can't help." Now, because of those fraud charges, my credit score dropped over 60 points, and Cal Coast still refuses to put the charges on hold or work with me to afford the balance. They've left me with debt I didn't create, no accountability, and no protection -- despite the fact that this situation clearly falls under Regulation E, which they are supposed to follow as a financial institution. The lack of empathy, professionalism, and action is shocking. I'm a young adult trying to build credit and stay afloat, and this bank has done nothing but hurt me. I've now had to start contacting legal aid and consumer protection agencies just to try and clean up the damage they allowed to happen -- and they still act like it's not their problem. Avoid this credit union at all costs. If you ever have to deal with fraud, don't expect Cal Coast to protect you. They will leave you hanging, ignore consumer rights, and then push all responsibility onto you. Absolutely disgraceful.
