The employees were pretty nice and overall it was a good experience. Though, the curtains used as stall doors in the women's bathroom is pretty questionable. Didn't really appreciate another person opening up the curtain thinking it was an empty stall. They apologized and all was good but I'd strongly recommend doors that lock for the stalls. read more

Best bowling alley I've been to so far! I drive past a bowling alley and add 30 min on to my trip to come to eldon lanes. It's a very friendly and family oriented environment. The food is excellent and fairly priced, the owner always fixes any problems with the lanes or scoring on the spot and the quality of people around you is superb. For example we were bowling I got a strike and got 2 high fives from people I didn't know on my way back to my seat yesterday. I strongly recommend this alley for anyone wanting a fun night surrounded with good people. 5 stars is max but if I could make it 6 I would. read more

I wish I could leave a zero star there is so much wrong with this business that it isn't funny. Firstly the owners are openly rude to customers and staff and seem to have an issue with doing any sort of work inside their business. My wife and I went two nights ago and we will not be going back, we opened a tab to get food and drinks, which my wife's pretzel was burnt to a crisp, but their policy is to run your card one time and then you have to use cash for anything else. While the policy wasn't the issue the way the owner barked it at us was. The only thing positive I can say about the establishment is that the staff is professional and friendly. If you consider going to this alley don't spend the extra time driving to the lake and bowl there. read more

I have previously written a review of this place. I did so in haste and will give more details now. In fact just to show I am being fair I'll add an extra star just because this place doesn't smell like smoke like a lot of bowling ally's. So here is what you can expect at this place. The business owner is on the grumpy side of things. He doesn't like you touching the computer at all. He seems pretty inconvenienced when there is a problem he has to fix. And he isn't all that customer service oriented. Case in point, today we were having a pretty good time bowling. We had managed to not do too much that irritated him so all was good. At the end of one of the games one of the small kids that we were playing with accidentally rolled another ball thinking it was their turn. This caused an extra frame to be put on. It was at this point at the end of the game that the kids left and it was just two adults left playing. I kindly went back and asked him to reset the scoreboard so that we could have a fresh start. He sent someone who is presumably his wife to come and fix it. I explained what we needed and she attempted to arrange it. When she was done the score board was in no better shape. We had two bowlers which was correct but one of us already had 6 points and there were 4 pins showing. Not exactly the clean start that I was asking for. So I went back again and explained what we needed. The owner went on some rant about how when the kid bowled it started extra frames and those cost .30 a piece. First of all it was an accident. It was just a kid and he didn't realize what he was doing. Secondly, I don't care about .30 cents. If that's what it takes to fix this problem then sure let's do it. I even told him that I didn't care and it was just a few cents. He continued on saying how if 10 people a day asked for extra frames just imagine how much money he would lose. I wasn't asking for him to write it off at all. And the answer was just $3.00 a day anyway. Yet is his example it sounded like he was being robbed blind. After a few minutes of back and forth with me not understanding why we couldn't just have a clean scoreboard that wasn't screwed up he finally relented and mostly fixed it. I'm still not sure if I paid the .30 or not but I wouldn't have cared if I did. All in all it was just bad customer service. I had made a request, was willing to pay their penalty, and they still wouldn't oblige me. You should never go back and forth with a customer like that. This is just part of a pattern with this place. The scoring gets messed up quite a lot. Today I got a few strikes on the scoreboard when I clearly didn't. Sometimes it loses track of the turns and you have to get someone to fix it. If you attempt to reset things then someone comes over and bullies their way onto to the computer to do it for you. That would be great but they usually aren't patient enough for you to explain the actual problem and have it fixed right. At least half of the time they fix one scoring issue only to create another one for you. It's just not worth it. I have been here twice recently and I had a similar experience both times so I don't think it was just a one off day. Then there is the cherry on top. Today while this whole scenario was going down I wrote a review here on yelp. Maybe it was a little harsh. Maybe he isn't as grumpy as I initially said. But my review still stands. Somehow, despite not having any other reviews on Yelp the owner knew I posted a review. He was polite enough to check me out without any issues. He asked if I had a good time. I said that I did. I said that I had a good time because of the people I was with. I had fun with them. My answer wasn't reflective of my experience I had with him and I saw no need to bring up my issues with the way he deals with his customer. However that was before he said that since I had a good time I should go on and change my review. I told him I thought it was fair and walked out. Again, that's bad customer service. My opinion is my opinion. Telling me to change my opinion is certainly not going to work. It's only going to serve to reinforce my feelings. If he had said that he saw my review and wanted to apologize, you know what I would have respected that and probably would have changed it to a positive review. But that's not what happened. Instead he again chose the confrontation route and it didn't pay off. He said that he was going to respond here on yelp to my review. I welcome that, but it's not going to change anything. I conclusion. Can you have a good time here? Probably so. As far as bowling alleys go, it's pretty decent. It doesn't smell like smoke. The food is respectable. And the prices are fair. My issues are strictly with the management. read more

Absolutely love bowling here! My husband and I are regulars and prefer eldon lanes over the other local alternatives. The owner takes the time to get to know his customers and accommodate their needs. He's quick to be on top of problems to get things working smoothly or do what he needs to fix the experience. He's attentive to his customers to address their concerns if they aren't enjoying their experience. I love going here because the owner knows exactly what we eat and drink and is accommodating and understanding when it comes to our two children running around the place. I recommend this place to everyone wishing to have a good night out bowling! read more

Eldon Lanes is a great place to take your family, its clean and non-smoking which is great for my allergies and for my Grand kids. We go up there quite often to eat, bowl, and have fun. They now have Keno which is always fun too. The kids bowl free promotion is such an awesome promotion, you need t try it out. read more

Great people, great service, and good prices. They always had a smile on their face when helping us. They had a touchtunes jukebox which I always enjoy because it gives everybody a way to pick music to play. The bowling lanes were in good shape, and lanes available for the little ones in our group with bumpers. It's no fancy but it's family friendly. Very fun time there read more
