We were lied to and feel like we were cheated. Sonny said he was capable of repairing cables on our pop-up and charged us over 2800.00. My husband went to pick up it up and the top did not go all the way up. He told the owner he felt like he robbed us. I have never written any review for or against any business, in my life. But today I met a person who is a professional CON man, a liar, cheat, theft and just a bad person. Making it worse, he claims to be a Christian, and a fair business person. I took my 34 ft Frontier bumper pull over there to have the 12 wire from the pickup to the connecter box in the trailer fixed. He told me it was the plug that plugs into the truck. ($38.) and the 12 volt water pump replaced. $135. He asked how long it had been since the roof was sealed. Any RV roof needs to be checked every 5 years. Mine was resealed last October, 2021. But OK check it, a leak can be a disaster. We set a date for me to pick it up. The next day he called me and told me the roof had to be sealed, it was in terrible shape. Now I'm expecting to spend around $400 for the repair of the pump and plug. So I said let's wait on the top. But "We have already started on it and if we don't fix it you will have lots of water inside. So how much do I owe you? Now I'm thinking still $400 for the plug and pump. But his own words, "I'll do the roof with 2 coats of sealer, the pump and plug for $1700. (I called 2 other RV dealers and got a estimate of $800 and $825 respectively for the roof sealer. So if I pay $400 for the plug and pump, that's $1300 for the roof. At this point I told him not to do anything else, and I would pay him $1700. Today my son went with me to pick up my trailer. We waited over an hour for him to add up my bill. I reminded him we had agreed on $1700. He said No, that's just the roof. No, that's all I owe you. He said I'll be right back with your bill. Forty 45 minutes later he came out to the pickup had told me my total was $2.433.00. Without doing something stupid, I asked for a pen and wrote him a check, hoping to never see him again. My son got up where he could see the roof. It has been painted with something white. I hope and trust God it's OK. It's crooks like this that give Christians bad names. Worst service imaginable. Had them service the wheel bearings on my travel trailer. A few hundred miles later both of the duster covers on the drivers side were missing. Another 1000 miles later, I'm back home and pulled the wheels and drums off to check. When I removed the drums, the seal and inner bearing remained on the axles! Spindles are ruined and will need to be replaced. I guess I should be thankful I wasn't left on the side of the road with two ruined axles. DONT TRUST THIS BUSINESS FOR ANYTHING. read more

Wish I could give NEGATIVE 10 STARS!! DO NOT USE ELDON RV REPAIR FOR ANYTHING NOT EVEN FOR TOILET PAPER. The owner is rude and a CHEAT! We had our Sliding window unit which was located next to the kitchen dining table in our Sportsman RV broken out (only the section that opened - the part of the picture window that was attached to the latch and also had a screen which opened and closed) and when we dropped it off on December 19th the owner told us it would be about $400 to repair and would take about 2 weeks which was fine with us cuz of the holiday and everything. In January after about 4 weeks my husband called to check on the status and learned that they were still waiting on the complete window unit and we said that only one side was broken out that the other side was just fine and the owner said that it wasn't a split window. That it was a solid window and basically called my husband a liar. Said there wasn't a latch anywhere around but I had personally taped the latch to the dining table to prevent it from being lost or broken. It still has pieces of glass still in it. Anyway after arguing with him for two days and asking questions like... If it was a solid window why was there a screen on it and so on... Anyway he said he would order the correct unit. Finally at the end of Feb - actually the last day of Feb. We go to pick it up and he charged us almost $900. Said it was for Labor to remove and replace the window unit twice .. Which I know for a fact he didn't do because at the end of January we went to check on the trailer and the RV and window were exactly the same way it was when we left it 6 weeks before .. It hadn't been removed or replaced with a "solid" window. This owner is a liar and a cheat and horrible business man. I hope the $900 he got from us last him the rest of his life cuz it will be a cold day in hell before I use this business again or recommend anyone to him ! Again I've never put an unfavorable review on yelp before .. I have always given small businesses a lot of respect and I always try to support small businesses over larger one but this owner is a cheat and a very dishonest person! PS - the latch the owner said didn't exist.. We just found it inside the front storage unit... Guess it grew legs and walked to the storage unit... If you need a good RV repair place call Michael's Mobile RV repair shop in Pittsburg Texas. He repaired our Awning after it broke due to wind during a rain storm while we were at Lake Bob Sandlin staying at the State Park and for exactly what he told us it would cost and on time. Should have taken it back to Michael for him to replace the window. Next time we need something repaired on our RV we will be going to Pittsburg.. Totally worth the drive!! read more

Terrible customer service! Sonny has claimed on 2 occasions he was waiting on insurance company to review claim. Both times, insurance has not spoken to me or him. Both times, he claimed insurance refused claims and billed me. Both times,insurance had not received a claim!! He is a double dipper. Our camper was in shop for over 2 weeks. I have to leave a star which is wrong in my opinion. I took my camper there and ask them to go through it. Keep in mind it's a small pop up camper. It took them 6 hours at $115 an hour to say they found some problems. Well to no surprise when they worked on it they kept finding new problems so I have to ask what exactly was the six hour of going through that I payed for, for. After all was said and done I had to tell him to stop. The bill at 115 an hour to basically replace a hose was over 1200. If you want to be screwed go to this place he has enough bibles quotes on the wall to let you know he is going to stick it in deep. I had a power steering issue with my class A diesel pusher that other RV repair locations did not want to deal with. I called Eldon RV Repair and Sonny said to bring it in and he'd take a look at it. Sonny was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Although he said it could take up to a week to get to my rig because of work backlog, he found the problem and had it repaired in just a couple of quick days. Since my rig is older, I asked Sonny to give it a thorough review when he was diagnosing the power steering issue. He spent five hours working on it but only charged me for four. I found Sonny to be very honest and reliable. He runs a top notch operation with well trained experts who are kind and courteous. I highly recommend Eldon RV Repair! read more

Wish I could rate a zero star! Took our motorhome to Sonny for a slide and fender repair. He said it would take 2 weeks. 4 months later I picked it up because I couldn't wait any longer. He said everything was done except the painting of the fender. EVERY repair he did is falling apart and I have to have it all done over. He collected $12228.00 from my insurance company and $2962.00 from me. He's a double talker with a handbag full of excuses, not to mention incompetent to do Motorhome repairs! Since he collected the insurance money, the insurance company will not pay again. What a rip off. Do not even think about taking your RV there! read more

Should have posted this more than a year back but got busy and forgot. Have a need for RV service again and that reminded me to post this. I have a 2004 motorhome that had given me trouble for at least 3 years. It would run fine and then unexpectedly shut down and go into "limp mode." Coast over to the side of the road, turn off the ignition, wait a minute, start up, and go. Rig would run normal until the next time. I had it in three different shops, spent several hundred dollars on diagnosis, still had the problem. Then I moved to Greenville, Tx, and learned of Eldon RV service. He kept the rig for a month, wasn't happy about that, but he said he was studying about the problem and checking things out. Worth the wait, problem fixed! No more highway shut downs since, and I've had it out on extended trips several times. Good work, fair price, effective repair. read more

Beware of these guys. I contacted Sonny about providing mobile rv repair for my 5th wheel trailer. I provided him with information on my extended warranty plan and scheduled an appointment for the following Monday. Monday came and went without so much as a phone call to say they wouldn't be showing up. He did call me on Tuesday but offered no excuse for leaving me hanging on Monday. Because I felt like I had limited options for mobile repair, I agreed to allow them to come out that day. Within 2 minutes of the technician arriving, he determined that the problem was not what they had thought and he had no idea what the problem was. We stood around for 45 minutes while he took pictures, sent several text/email and made several calls. Only to tell me that he could not fix the problem. Three days later I get a call from Sonny saying that they would need to charge me for a service call because there was no actual repair to bill the warranty provider for. I was fine with that until he told me the charge would be $378. When I complained about the outrageous charge he offered to take $50 off. It appeared to me that Sonny had planned to stick it to the warranty provider but since he could not he figured he would just make up the diffence by charging me more. Buyer beware! read more

I just want to let anyone about to use Eldon RV to go somewhere else. Unless you like not knowing what they are charging you for or how much until they are done and then hit you with an unbelievable high price for work they did not even do. At first he will ask you for your credit card info up front which I thought was fishy, but I thought they were a reputable business so whatever. Little did I know that he wants that information so that he can charge you whatever he wants. I ask the tech for how much the work was and he told me it was above his pay grade and did not provide an itemized bill. Not only did they not fix the problem they still charged me for it, and they try to charged me for 3 service calls ( which I argued) which god only knows how much those are.They came out once to fix the problem (1) then had to leave to get a part and back (2). Once I told them the problem was not fixed the tech came out to look at it again and told me they did not know what was wrong (3). Then they tried to sell me a new refridge that was gonna be probably around 2500 bucks.. no thanks!! Unbelievable right! You can choose to listen to me and the other review which are correct as well or throw your money away. Stay away, you have been warned!!!
