Thursday night was the Boca Raton Bowl. The Boca Bowl is an annual NCAA DIVISION 1 football game. FAU has been hosting this bowl game since 2014. USF played Syracuse. Both my boys were in town and we got free tickets through Rotary so we made it a family night. Plenty of tailgating before the game. Live entertainment, food stands, games and raffles. The stadium was half empty which was pretty sad. This isn't UF where you're packed in with 90000 Gator fans. We did have access to the Premier Club sponsored by Acura. Entrance on the very top of the stadium is with a wrist band only. Free buffet style food is offered, free soft drinks, as well as way overpriced cocktails, beer and assorted alcoholic beverages. The lounge has big screen TVs and seating and there was a DJ. USF pounded Syracuse 45-0.

Mizner Park amphitheater is a beautiful place and only one negative that it's outside and if it…read morerains you're in trouble also in the summer it's a little warm and muggy. This is division 1 hoops, but there was only about 500 people in the stands on a Saturday afternoon to see the owls rout Jacksonville. Ticket prices are either $12 or $20 and there is no need to buy the pricier seats. Promotions are corny and the owl needs a new costume and there are at least 25 cheerleaders which isn't a bad thing at all. They call it the burrow, but it needs to be louder and there was no students at the game at all. FAU is in a major conference, so it's disappointing that crowd was small, but we enjoyed the game and the venue.

Love US Soccer, and I get that the stadium is the right size for the game, but this isn't a quality place. They wouldn't let in people with US soccer bags because they were too big. Bogus.

We got our tickets online, so we just showed our QR code at the entrance of the auditorium and got seated. It's a large size theater venue with great acoustics and comfortable seating. We parked for free in Parking Garage 2, which is only a block away.

FAU's main campus in Boca Raton was established on the remnants of a World War II American Army airbase in 1964. Spanning 850 acres, the site is located between Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale. The campus was designated a burrowing owl sanctuary in 1971 by the Audubon Society. The owls find the campus appealing because there are few predators, due to the university's proximity to the Boca Raton Airport, and because the campus was originally cleared of vegetation when operating as an airbase during World War II. Unfortunately we did not see nor hear any owls while we walked around the area after dark. The Boca Raton campus is home to a wide variety of university programs and facilities. These facilities are labs and classrooms, housing for students, a 6,000-gallon shark tank for aquatic research, a movie theater, athletic and recreational facilities, and the student-run record label Hoot/Wisdom Recordings. The campus feels very spread out and very green, a nice place to jog, walk or run on a nice day, if you feel like exercising among the young college kids.

I believe thay even when I sent my car accident report and hospital discharge papers from having surgery I missed 2 classes and he ended up giving me an( F) as if I did NOTHING.. Meanwhile all my other professors took my accident into consideration and worked with, gave me more time. Probably one of the fastest growing university's I have ever stepped foot on. Sooo many students…read morefrom so many backgrounds and the university does a great job with making diversity and inclusion and very immense part of the institution's culture. There's always activities for newcomers to feel at home. Games days are also awesome! Parking is the downside. Never anywhere to park when school is in session. I recommend coming early if you don't want to be miles away from campus. There is a shuttle for students to take when parking far, but who wants to have to do that? Check out the food court and gym! Those are my 2 favorite places. Gotta life Chick-fil-A's milkshakes! The bar on campus outside of the dining hall is also a cool place to grab a beer and sometimes there's live bands/entertainment.

I'm actually considering finally going to medical school. I have the skills & I'm good at medicine, why not?! Right?... the staff was very helpful and informative.
