We have used Electric City services in our homes since 2012 and have never been disappointed. They have hung ceiling fans, replaced ceiling fans, rearranged electrical outlets, and re-wired outlets among other services. Shane Mitchell has performed most of our services and we are pleased with the care, diligence and completeness of his work. We believe we are getting great service at fair prices. My most recent experience was, I called Austin one day and Shane was here the next morning at 7:57 AM to replace a ceiling fan in a vaulted ceiling. I don't think it gets batter than that. read more

Jeff was there for us after the tornado. He came early on Sunday morning and saw the job through by Tuesday (it was a mess!). The only easy part of cleanup. We had a glitch in one of our breakers where when our outdoor lights would go on, it would pop the breaker. I contacted Electric City to see when I could get it looked at. Jeff answered immediately; there wasn't an answering service and he answered my out of state number which some companies don't. He said he'd have someone out later that day and they would call when they were on their way. Shane called when he was on his way, showed up, looked at all the fixtures and found the problem was a bad fixture and then proceeded to clean up after himself. Seamless service call and a reasonable price. The processes in place at Electric City are great. I would definitely recommend them and use them again. This was formerly AJ Electric, but that caused confusion because there was another company with the same name. One was INC and the other LLC. I guess Jeff decided it was better to rename his. I started using Jeff long ago when our 70's home needed an updated panel to handle the extras that we wanted etc. Eventually, his work was so well liked he had to hire employees to help. I wanted some updates to rental property. If your rental is nice you can get better renters and price. The old 1960's rental had all kinds of DIY type of oddities done to it over the years before we bought it. Jeff had hired employees by then. They did an alright job but made comments about the mess that had been made with the wiring over the years. When they finished on I think Friday or Saturday, one wall of outlets didn't work which included the refrigerator. We helped the renter string an electrical cord from another wall to save her food and called Jeff. He came out personally on Sunday, figured it out in minutes and fixed it. I totally trust Jeff to oversee his employees and ensure everything is right and the customer is happy. read more

The team did a great job for me - I had multiple issues to deal with, move a chandelier location, add ceiling lighting in the den (replacing two seventies "eyeball" lights with can lighting and adding four more of those lights, adding the same lights in a kitchen which didn't have an attic above, and wiring above the mantel in the den to mount a television - which the hooked up for me. In fact they found a way around a problem my server said couldn't be resolved. They were absolutely professional and I couldn't have asked for better results. I found Electric City on Angie's List and chose them because of their high rating. An exterior fan, on a switch leg we had wiring problems with in the past, stopped working. To save the cost of a second service call, Electric City told us to buy a fan just in case it wasn't the wiring this time and they could install the new fan immediately. The next morning they arrived on time, found the fan to be the problem and quickly installed the new. I then remembered several other electrical problems we had since our new build and led the kind gentleman around our home and pool house as he quickly remedied the issues. Each time he fixed something he explained what he did and had some good advice. I normally do not write reviews but I felt this was one I needed to do as I have had three different local Electrical contractors in the course of a very large building project over the past five years and Electric City was refreshingly competent, professional and respectful.
