I needed a new flood light hard wired in to the front of my house, so I called the professionals at Murray Electric. They came out and gave me an estimate for the job on Thursday and I accepted the bid. On Friday I went and purchased the flood light at the supply house that they recommended. On Monday they arrived to hard wire the light in. The job went quick with 2 men working on the job. One man in the attic and the other man on the outside of the house. The job was complete in about two hours. The men at Murray are true experts when it comes to your electrical needs. I have been using them for a number of years now. They are very good about answering your questions as the job progresses. They keep you updated. They always do a great job for a fair price. On February 6th, we had our septic tank professionally pumped. Shortly thereafter, our plumbing became clogged. On February 11th, we contacted Murray Plumbing and Electric to snake the drain line located between the two bathrooms inside our home. On Friday, February 13th, my husband took time off work to meet your technician, Zac. He explained the issue in detail. Zac proceeded to snake approximately 10 feet into the line, removed some grease, confirmed that everything appeared to be flushing, and then left. The service call lasted approximately 10 minutes. We were charged the $89 service fee plus $195 per hour, totaling $284. Unfortunately, the clog returned almost immediately, leaving one of our bathrooms completely unusable. It is unacceptable to pay $284 for what appears to have been a minimal and incomplete service. I contacted your office and spoke with Jenny through your call center. I clearly expressed my dissatisfaction, explaining that the technician did the bare minimum and failed to thoroughly clear the line. I also stated that I expected a higher standard of service based on your company's reputation and reviews. Jenny assured me that you would send another plumber at no charge to correct the issue. On February 18th, Ozzie and his trainee arrived. Ozzie was professional and informed me that the $89 trip fee would be waived, but we would still be charged $195 for the service. I explained that our funds had already been depleted after paying $457.60 to have our septic tank pumped and an additional $284 for the initial snaking service that did not resolve the problem. Even Ozzie acknowledged that Zac likely only cleared enough grease to temporarily relieve the blockage, which would explain why the clog returned so quickly. Ozzie then connected me with Missy, the manager. At that point, we were informed that the issue was being attributed to the company that pumped our septic tank, despite the clog clearly being located between the two bathrooms inside our home -- not in the septic tank itself. We were then told that because the septic tank is allegedly full again, your company cannot snake the line. This situation is extremely frustrating. We have paid significant amounts of money and still have an unresolved plumbing issue and an unusable bathroom. We expect a proper resolution and accountability for the incomplete service that was initially performed. read more

OVER PRICED ! 759 dollars for moving 2 outlets, took 3hours. service fee doesn't even go towards the job. And no finance available under 1500 which I did not find out till after. Gentleman was nice but had to do a store run and I had to pay for that time he was out shopping. NEVER AGAIN, OVER PRICED ! read more

Dishonest and predatory business prCharges $99 for service call but won't give hourly rate over the phone. Technician agreed that the P trap needed replaced, but didn't have the size, so charged me $378/hr to go get the part. If you don't have the inventory on your truck, I shouldn't have to pay for you to go get it.The job cost $450 for something that should have cost $350 at the most. Find someone who will be honest about their prices from the get go. read more

Back in Jan 2025 Murray came out to give me an estimate for a new water heater. At the same time my son had a leak in the yard hydrant at his house so I asked if they could stop by and check it out since it was a mile away. They went and put a new hydrant in and fixed the leak. A few days ago was the first time my son turned on the hydrant and it started leaking. His water bill has been low so no indication of a problem like the bills before. My son called Murray and they refused saying they don't want to cover it. My son is now waiting for a supervisor to come to look at it. If they back up their work then I'll change my rating, meanwhile, I'm glad I went with another company (Acts of Service Plumbing) to install my water heater. read more

I had a fuse trip in my breaker box that was affecting a substantial portion of our house. When I first called they stated earliest would be the next morning. I asked about emergency service and within 1.5 hours someone was at the house and had fixed the problem. Anthony Benson was very good to explain to me what exactly was wrong and what he did to fix it. He also made a minor modification to one of the GFCI outlets that would cut down on future problems. Showed up on time. Floor Drain for shower & mixing unit for bathroom needed to be done. The young man looked at the job and immediately went out to the truck & spent the next 30 minutes calling his boss for help on how to do the job. The boss came over and talked him through it - what should have taken 2 1/2 hours to complete took almost 4 hours for which we billed. The work was done to our satisfaction. Just...wow! As typical a situation, I attempted to hang a chandelier and somehow messed it up. I had heard their ad on 92.9 The Drive and thought I would give them a shot at fixing my screwup and also do some other electrical work I needed done at our home. They claimed in the ad that "when you're in a hurry, call Murray". Well, they delivered! I called around noon and they were at our home by 2:30!! The electrician listened to what I needed done, did the work completely and professionally, and the price was very reasonable. I strongly recommend their service and have no hesitation of using them again...especially if my wife wants another chandelier hung. read more

Murray came out to find a break in the main feed to my house. Before they came out I told them exactly which feed had the fault. After a few hours of using their locator equipment they gave up and told me I should run new feeds to the house at a cost of $2000 and charged me $142.50 for the weekend service call. I then called the electric company who came and located the break immediately for free. I called Murray and asked for a partial refund since they provided no added benefit and they didn't get back to me so I filed a complaint with the bbb who ruled in the businesses favor (the business still has an A+ rating with the bbb). So I fixed the break myself for $70. If you want "professional" service I would look elsewhere. read more
