Pounded for hours on my concrete to break it, instead of getting a concrete cutter to run that wire that they cut off too short! Ridiculous! Guess what, is the wrong breaker and wire guage, so septic keeps on nuisance tripping! Still going to have to hire someone to do it over again!!! I had a new roof put on my home, and that evening noticed my flood light wasn't working over the…read moregarage. I contacted the roofers to ask if they had bumped into it, but they ignored my text. I started calling electricians, and Mr. Electric was the first to call me back. When they arrived, I was given possible estimates of the cost of repair and/or replacement. The light was up quite high, requiring a very tall ladder. When he first touched the top to see if the optic part was damaged, he got a shock, and realized there was a live wire. Fortunately, he was okay, so they found the circuit breaker and shut off the current to that light. They found the electric eye had come off and felt there was no way the roofers could have missed that. Instead of having to replace the light, he said he was able to fix it after going to get a part. With the assistant going up with a drill to attach the part that was dangling he was able to replace the missing part. Works beautiful and I could not be happier with the way they conducted their business and how quickly they came to make the repair. I will definitely call them again if needed, and gAve them a 5 star review. Would recommend them to everyone!

My mother's house lost partial power, including her furnace, around 9:00pm the other night. My…read morehusband and I take care of her, so we immediately starting looking on Yelp for an electrician. We have been taken advantage of many times in the past, so we were already tense about the entire thing. We found RJ Howard Electric and gave them a call. They open very early in the morning (7:30am) which is nice for stressed out folks like us! We spoke with Rick and explained the situation. He was able to schedule an appointment for 4:00pm later that day. Rick showed up right on time, 4 o'clock on the DOT, and called my hubby for more information on what what happening in mom's home. He went downstairs and checked her circuit breaker and after less than five minutes of investigating he already knew the issue. It was the line outside on the pole, which is an AEP problem. Not only did he call AEP for my mother and arrange for them to fix the outage, but he provided us with the ticket number so we could track the progress. On top of all the good news, he also only charged us a minimal fee for his services. We were so relieved and appreciative and cannot say enough good things about this company. We have some electrical issues at our house that we have been putting off over fear of getting taken advantage of, but it's comforting to know we have a reliable, honest electrician to call now! We moved into our new build home in the fall of 2020. Romanoff was the company contracted by our…read morebuilder. After move in - we wanted to have the wall above our fireplace wired to hang our TV. Our next-door neighbors (who have the IDENTICAL floorplan to our home) had just had Romanoff do this just weeks prior. They were quoted $180 and paid $180. Fast forward to our experience - we too were quoted $180 - but when the bill came due - we were charged $330. Not only this, the technician who came to do the job literally said that he didn't know how to do the wiring above the fireplace (?!) and my husband had to WALK HIM NEXT DOOR to inspect the job that had been done at our neighbor's house just a few weeks prior. When attempting to contact Romanoff to discuss our concerns - we were given the run around for LITERAL MONTHS (roughly 5 months to be exact). When I finally was able to speak with the Division Manager - he tried to explain the discrepancy by stating that our job took an hour or so longer and thus cost more. He went on to state that labor cost ~$50 per hour. When I commented that $180 + $50 equaled ~230 and NOT $330 - he was unable and unwilling to provide an explanation for the difference in cost. I additionally expressed my frustration that the job took longer to complete, because the technician had to be WALKED NEXT DOOR to our neighbors' home to inspect their job. He had no comment for this. Not only this - he was incredibly rude and told me that I was frustrated only because "I wasn't getting my way." They ended up refunding us an arbitrary $70 - but even then, wrote the check to the wrong name and were very difficult when we requested a check with the correct name. We will NEVER hire Romanoff again. We sincerely felt as though we were scammed and would never recommend their services to anyone.
