Brandon was like a detective, diagnosing and repairing what turned out to be three separate problems. The first two problems he resolved pretty quickly. The third one, no power to our 1931 detached garage, was a stumper, and he called his supervisor. I appreciated there being a more experienced electrician he could turn to. In the end, Brandon noticed an obsolete outlet on the wall of the garage down near the floor. He figured out that water had gotten into the outlet wiring, which was still live (!) and that had caused the problem. Fortunately, there were two wires in the metal conduit from the house to the garage, and he was able to attach our garage electrical service to the newer one. This was a much better outcome than digging a trench through the back yard from the garage to the house to run new wire and conduit. A less honest and competent company might have dug a trench to create a bigger, more expensive project. The office staff is also very professional. Setting up the appointment, paying the invoice and having a receipt emailed was easy.

Informed they would need to send this to the residential project manager and would have someone call me. The time was set up for today. A gentleman came out I explained what was going on same as I did on Friday. He proceeds to tell me that this type of quote would need technicians to come out and do all the testing and that would take at least a half a day to a days worth of work to be able to generate that kind of quote. I asked if he could look at an outlet to see if looked like it was grounded properly or if there was any knob and tube present visually present in the house up in the attic he told me he's not able to do that. I then asked him what the purpose of him coming out today is and why both our time waswasted given that I explained this whole situation on Friday. He blamed his office receptionist saying that it is not the receptionist role to schedule a technician call versus him coming out. I explained we had another electrical company come out this week with technicians having no problems giving us a quote. This company has breakdowns in communication they waste your time to take off work. I would have had no problem paying for a quote today, had it been setup that way. He was insistent I wanted a free quote. The company just had a failure of communication and what should have been done today. He also informed me he is the vice president of the company. If that's the case I would keep that info to myself, As a VP he's not accepting responsibility.

We have been taken advantage of many times in the past, so we were already tense about the entire thing. We found RJ Howard Electric and gave them a call. They open very early in the morning (7:30am) which is nice for stressed out folks like us! We spoke with Rick and explained the situation. He was able to schedule an appointment for 4:00pm later that day. Rick showed up right on time, 4 o'clock on the DOT, and called my hubby for more information on what what happening in mom's home. He went downstairs and checked her circuit breaker and after less than five minutes of investigating he already knew the issue. It was the line outside on the pole, which is an AEP problem. Not only did he call AEP for my mother and arrange for them to fix the outage, but he provided us with the ticket number so we could track the progress. On top of all the good news, he also only charged us a minimal fee for his services. We were so relieved and appreciative and cannot say enough good things about this company. I had a new roof put on my home, and that evening noticed my flood light wasn't working over the…read moregarage. I contacted the roofers to ask if they had bumped into it, but they ignored my text. I started calling electricians, and Mr. Electric was the first to call me back. When they arrived, I was given possible estimates of the cost of repair and/or replacement. The light was up quite high, requiring a very tall ladder. When he first touched the top to see if the optic part was damaged, he got a shock, and realized there was a live wire. Fortunately, he was okay, so they found the circuit breaker and shut off the current to that light. They found the electric eye had come off and felt there was no way the roofers could have missed that. Instead of having to replace the light, he said he was able to fix it after going to get a part. With the assistant going up with a drill to attach the part that was dangling he was able to replace the missing part. Works beautiful and I could not be happier with the way they conducted their business and how quickly they came to make the repair. I will definitely call them again if needed, and gAve them a 5 star review. Would recommend them to everyone!
