Things that involved the prior manager and staff. We live about a mile from The Craftsman, and go there often. The new Manager has worked so very hard to make The Craftsman a great place. She and her wonderful staff help to make the place feel like small town friendly. The burger is fantastic as is the Bear (French dip), Volcano Pork and the Lemon Chicken. We tend to have the same thing usually, because they are so good. They also have good salads. Whereas I do not usually get a dessert at most restaurants, the desserts here are not to be missed. Great job to all of you working so hard to make this the neighborhood bar feel. We love coming in and enjoying the ambiance and food and feeling of friendship.

Ordered the Gold Rush cocktail and the Miso Ocean Trout for dinner. The cocktail was done very well with a good balance between the alcohol and flavoring. The trout was probably one of the best fish dishes I've ever had. The miso paired so well with the dynamic sauce and the fish along with the sticky coconut rice and greens. I also took a bite of my friend's The Boar sandwich and it was delicious - fries were amazing. Will definitely be back!! Also, parking's a little tough since Postino's in the same plaza, but they do offer a discount if you ride share!

Friend had the ravioli, which is served in a creamy mushroom sauce with a hint of the truffle and thyme. I had to try and bite and would definitely have this dish next time. Light and delicious. For dessert we were recommended the tiramisu and that was not disappointing in the least! Layers of lady fingers and whipped mascarpone was so good and not overly sweet. Both the wife and friend topped their meal off with a limoncello, which we learned was made in-house. Wife said it was strong but loved that lemon flavor. After hearing a lot of buzz about Electric Pickle, a group of friends decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to expectations. The restaurant was louder than expected, with an overwhelming amount of noise that made it difficult to enjoy a conversation or really relax. It's definitely more of a party spot than a place for a quiet meal. As for the food, it was pretty underwhelming. The Baja Fish Tacos were bland and didn't have much seasoning. The fish itself was dry, and it felt like it was just thrown together without much thought. The BBQ Bacon Burger wasn't much better. The bacon wasn't crispy, the burger was overcooked, and the BBQ sauce was overly sweet. While the staff did seem friendly and welcoming, that didn't make up for the overall disappointing experience. I recently visited Electric Pickle and I'm already planning my next trip back! The food here is absolutely incredible. The sushi, crafted by a chef with experience in some of the best Japanese restaurants, is hands down the best I've had in Arizona--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Their pizzas are just as amazing--crispy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with their impressive selection of craft beers. And if you're in the mood for something lighter, their light dishes are thoughtfully crafted and just as delicious. What really makes Electric Pickle stand out, though, is the whole experience. Had the best time at EP! The venue is beautiful- from the main building to the upstairs bar to the amazing pickleball courts and lawn games, you can tell they were thoughtful with every detail. I had lunch upstairs on the patio by a cozy fireplace with a TV nearby to watch sports and an amazing view of the mountains. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand and my friend had an old fashioned. Both were delicious and came quickly- the staff was on it and so friendly. For food we got a pizza, ceviche and guac. everything was super fresh and beautifully presented. The ceviche maybe had too many onions- but maybe that's just my problem. Amazing establishment! From the greeters, to the bartenders and servers! The vibes here are seriously like no other, it's like stepping into a little oasis! There's something for everyone, whether that be sushi, tacos, burgers (and the appetizers are just too good to choose just one) the presentation on the food is fantastic and you can tell the chefs put a lot of effort and thought into each dish! Now if you're a pickleball player like myself, you are in luck! These courts are beautiful and are regulation courts! They have free cornhole and ping pong along with Bocce (which I personally have never heard of but it sure looks fun!) My family and I will for sure be returning! I recently visited and was shocked by what I saw from one of the bartenders, "Zeus" (as his name tag read). He was repeatedly interrupting another bartender, taking bottles out of their hands mid-drink, and even bumping into them in a way that didn't seem accidental. At one point, he was raising his voice at them while they were just trying to work. It was uncomfortable to watch, and it made me question the kind of environment this place allows behind the bar. A good bar should have a team that works together--not one where staff members are actively making each other's jobs harder. After witnessing this, I don't think I'll be back. If this is how things operate behind the scenes, I'd rather spend my money somewhere else. read more

The staff seemed completely disorganized, and it's clear that the chaos starts from the top -- everything felt like it was being run by disorganized bosses who had no control over the flow of the restaurant. Our food took an unreasonable amount of time, and when it finally arrived, it was cold and lacked any real flavor. No one acknowledged the delays, offered an apology, or tried to make things right. For the price, I expected far better quality and basic customer service. The Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich was a letdown--tasted like it had been sitting around too long. Chicken was soggy, and the breading didn't have the crunch it promised. My friend got the BBQ Bacon Burger, and they weren't feeling it either. The bacon wasn't crispy, and the BBQ sauce was way too sweet for our liking. This past Friday my sister and I decided to check out a spot for drinks and appetizers for the first time. We settled at the outdoor bar, and even though it was a bit chilly, the heaters above kept us nice and toasty. Our bartender, Trenton, was awesome and mixed up some of the best drinks I've had in forever. We ordered some pot stickers and chips with salsa and guacamole, and everything was delicious. We didn't get around to trying pickleball, but it looked like everyone was having a blast. I'm definitely up for a game next time! Had an unforgettable night! This place is an absolute gem that everyone needs to experience. While the pickleball was a blast, the real standout was the food and drinks--seriously next level. As a martini lover, I was thrilled to find a pickle martini on the menu, and it did not disappoint--so flavorful and unique. The sushi was also top-tier, super fresh and beautifully presented. We were very disappointed with the service we received. When we requested to be seated outside, as we were with children, the waitress dragged the tables loudly, creating an unpleasant atmosphere. Additionally, instead of setting the table, she simply placed the silverware and cups at the end, leaving us to arrange everything ourselves. Our group consisted of 14 people, so the tip was automatically included, which unfortunately seemed to affect the level of service provided. This place is awesome. I was so impressed by how beautiful it was. I did not come prepared to play pickleball but I will next time. Instead I was there for dinner and drinks with friends and had no idea what this place was when I showed up. Even without pickleball, this place was fantastic. The food was terrific. So many different ways you can go on the menu. We had potstickers, nachos and I had sushi while my friends split a pizza. The food was so much better than I expected a place like this to be. Had a great meal and evening here the other night with some family and friends. The food was considerably better than what I expected from a place that was marketed like this and I had a nice conversation with their manager (Rob, I believe?). Outside of the pickleball courts, I could certainly see myself coming back to watch sports. There are a considerable amount of bars around the restaurant and plenty of tv's to boot. 10/10 will be back. Side-note, try the carrot cake. Absolutely loved my experience at Electric Pickle! The bartenders, Becky and Trenton, are not only talented but incredibly friendly, making every visit feel special. The food is delicious, and the view from the upstairs restaurant is simply epic. The vibe is electric--perfect for a night out! I had a fantastic time playing pickleball before hitting the dance floor. I especially enjoy when DJ Hazardous is spinning; he really sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. I really enjoyed the atmosphere that this venue provides. It has multiple entertainment aspects to partake in besides just pickle ball, including boche ball, ping pong, and cornhole. I loved the variety of music that was played as well. In terms of food, I ordered the steak sandwich which was delicious! I paired it with sweet potato fries and they were cooked to perfection. They were nice enough to provide us with some free chips and salsa even though we were just having drinks. Two salsas, with one being a little too spicy for my taste. I can only handle a little kick. Good chips. I'll definitely have to come back for their food! Drinks (5/5): I appreciate it when a bar offers quality drinks that are creative. You'll find that at The Mexicano. Naturally, I went with the margarita flight which allows you to try four different frozen margs (prickly pear, lime, peach, and one more that's escaping me). And that's not all. They have a self-serve candy bar where you can add gummy bears, sour worms, and a variety of other candies to your margaritas. How cool! I've never seen anyone do this. If that wasn't enough, they have an all-day happy hour, every day of the week. I also haven't seen anything like that. Chef Joey is a genius!
