I'm from out of town. I came to Hub in part because it was next to a Best Buy that I needed to visit, and because everything else I saw on the way had a crowd or I figured there was be a crowd. I sat outside under a covered patio with misters. Because I told the waiter it was my first time there, I was given a free appetizer (pita bread with melted parmesan cheese) and an olive oil seasoned dressing to dip the bread in that was so good (first timers are presented with this). My meal was the steak stroganoff. They didn't have egg noodles, which was fine by me (an error in the kitchen, but it didn't matter). What mattered for me was that the meal was delicious! My waiter was great, and I would recommend going to this place. They even serve a pork tenderloin! Being from California, no restaurant serves a pork tenderloin, which I don't know why not. read more

I decided to stop for lunch here while hanging out with my daughter one last time before she headed off to Boot Camp. He was later in the day so it wasn't very busy. I think around 3:57 PM or so. We were greeted right away and told we could sit wherever we wanted course. My husband wanted good viewing of TVs, which wasn't an issue because they were everywhere even on their upper level, our server came over soon with some waters and menus and gave us some time to look at everything over. Some sodas, water and beer from the bar and ended up with a burger, the Korean barbecue bowl and I believe a burrito bowl but I can't remember for sure what my daughter ate. Everything came out pretty quick and looked delicious especially my Korean bowl I was nice to sit and chat with my daughter before she left. All of our food was pretty good. I really liked mine. My husband, however, was pretty bummed with his burger stated that the bacon wasn't really cooked and then the bread bun was falling apart. Service was a little slow towards the end. Dropped into this local grill and bar to grab some cold beers and food. We previously have eaten at the Mesa location. On this occasion we sat at the bar. Bartender was friendly. The place was sorta empty which was surprising. The bar area is vibrant with large TVs. For this dining experience, the special included reduce price of certain southwest foods. I took advantage of this special so I ordered the Green Chile Steak Philly. It was very good, the carne asada was flavored nicely. This location has a lot of beer options. The taplist for this location was expansive. I grabbed the San Tan Hefeweizen but it wasn't very cold so I did not enjoy it. In hindsight, I should have sent it back. Will come back for Happy Hour, which is Monday through Friday from 2:12pm to 6:12pm. During this time you can get discount on appetizers and discounted beers and well drinks. This is place to watch your NFL games on a Sunday. Super spacious and tons of tv's. The menu has a little something everyone. Kid friendly and a huge bar and patio seating outside during this awesome weather we have in Arizona when it's not scorching outside. Our server was funny and great with his attention to detail. I searched all over for a place to host my daughter's 16th birthday and kept running into strict rules, high fees, phone tags, until I found The Hub & Grill in Ahwatukee. Their private room upstairs was perfect! Complete with own bar, booths, TVs, bathrooms and elevator!!!. The manager and staff were super accommodating and patients with my questions and requests. They also allowed me to come in early to decorate and even helped me get a PowerPoint playing on the TV. We had our own server who handled everything...including drinks from the private bar. First time going, party of 6 (4 adults and two toddlers) went Saturday May 16th. The place wasn't busy. From the wait to be seated when there was only one group in front of us that had been standing there for 10 minutes or more (I saw them go in). Then the hair on my sons Bloody Mary while it was in the waitress's hand - she just pulled it off the glass and said well it wasn't in the drink and ignored his request to bring a new one. Over an hour before seeing our meals. Never an offer to refill glasses and empty glasses on the table the entire time. The amount of rust on my knife that no one would use - how was that knife not discarded. No receipt to review the bill total, and I even had to hunt someone down to pay so I could leave. The food was not good. I ate the fries and very little of anything else. My daughter in law stated her chicken was undercooked. My wife and I rarely dine out, but my son and his family dine out often, and we all agreed it was one of, if not the worst, experience we've ever had at a restaurant. A total waste of $138. I came home and cooked. As I was leaving, I told the hostess the experience was bad and she simply stated something along the lines of maybe it'll be better next time. I have found a new favorite from this place. The chicken tenders with fries. Normally I would get smoked wings, but I ventured out and tried the tenders which were very good. They are lightly battered and not cut in strips like the most places serve. The chicken is real chicken breast not processed. The food was freshly cooked which allowed me to enjoy my entire meal. Toward the end of our time there, an employee (bar back-not sure) decided to tell us "sorry for your loss" as we were leaving well before the game was over. Cause what the what?!? *mind blown* No I'm going to score to the max! I don't think I've given five stars and desire (hmm maybe urge) to return asap in a while but even if I had this place takes the top! I was originally sad to see that mellow mushroom wasn't there anymore but decided to go in just to try it on a whim. I was waiting for my order at Best Buy so I had time to kill. Thank God I stepped into this establishment! It was not busy at lunchtime which is completely puzzling to me. This is phenomenal food and they're in a great location. But lucky for me I could just walk in and get a good seat. The music was fun and establishment was clean. I decided to try one of their drinks instead of having one of my custom ones... And it was good. I had the rum punch drink. I'd prefer my drinks not to be as sweet so on my 2nd cup I had them add jalapeño and Tajin and it was perfect. Now let's get into this meal... There were a lot of things on the menu that I wanted to order but this one screamed to me "get out of your car! Get inside and open your mouth and soul!" Steak and bake with a side of broccoli. The only downside I have is that it needed more sauce or creamy texture. Just a little dry for me. I just asked for sour cream on the side and honestly that made it explode in the flavor and texture. Extra fun note: I usually don't finish my leftovers from restaurants within the same day. I have not been home for two hours and it's completely gone. And I've been contemplating if I go back for dinner if that's greedy... ???I should just make an excuse to be there once somebody visits me. Either way I am super excited to come back! Five stars you guys you did amazing!!! Update: came back in less than 24 hours with my mom. I went around the same time of the day because I'm honestly looking for a lunch spot. It was a lot busier, but Karina was still amazing. I ordered the same meal, and though it was very delicious it wasn't the same as the first day, and I still think it needs some sauce. The only downside I have this visit is that I wasn't aware that the soda was per cup and not free refills. Today we thought we would try out The Hub. Walking up it didn't look busy at all, which was good considering we don't particularly care for crowded places. As we walked up we noticed the patio and outdoor seating of the bar. Considering todays weather it was a great choice! From our seats we could see most of the TVs mounted in the bar and the restaurant. So great views! The bartender was quick to step up and explain specials and menus and offer to get our drinks going. The vanilla porter was my choice and it was a good choice. Smooth and not overdone on the vanilla. Great flavor. For our meals, I had the popper burger on a pretzel bun. Delicious! A little messy to eat but totally worth using the extra napkins. My gf had the Turkey avocado sandwich. At first it was a little disappointing because they forgot the Turkey!!! Well this was quickly addressed. There was wait and server staff abundantly available. She told the server about her sandwich and he seemed genuinely embarrassed by the situation. As he took it back to be fixed the bar tender came over to check on us. Apparently she heard what happened as well as the manager and they were in disbelief. Within about 10 minutes the server returned with a freshly made sandwich with a plentiful amount of Turkey this time. My gf stated the sandwich was very good and was only able to eat half of it. Yes!!! Leftovers I can steal for work tomorrow. Kudos to the staff of The Hub for not even flinching and fixing the problem. I'm sure we will return here again. I'm giving this place 4 stars because I do like this place and I've had other food from here that I do like. However, I went here yesterday and tried the stuffed Anaheim chilies appetizer, and I did not like them. The Chiles are grilled or roasted and they don't peel the "skin" of the pepper off which makes it difficult to eat. The stuffed part of the Chile, was good, it's chorizo and cheese with pico on top. Their pico was very delicious. The overall dish lacked its own flavor, I had to add salt. The service was great our waitress was really nice. I went in the early part of the afternoon and it was not busy. What I do recommend is the wings, they're great and the loaded potato skins, those are very delicious as well. Rate 9/10 read more

Visiting our son from out of town, we stopped at the Hub for the first time to catch a baseball game (go Mariners!) on Saturday night. They dedicated a screen to us with a great view. Completing the ambience, not too loud, not too cold - just right to chat and catch the ball game. Food was good, beer was great, and the service was excellent. Our waitress, Meghan (with an "H"), took a lot of pride in her work and did an excellent job of checking in on us regularly (pretty much every inning). We would definitely recommend the Hub for catching a ball game, and, if you're lucky, you may even get Meghan. read more

I came here for happy hour. I walked in and was lucky enough to find a spot at the bar. They have a pretty good happy hour menu. I only wanted an appetizer because I was going to the movie theater, across the way. I love the appetizer options some really unique items. I ordered a Michelob Ultra with some cheesy mashed potato balls. They balls were amazing. They had a nice crunchy outer crust and a cheesy center. The chipotle sauce that was with them was tasty but it was missing a kick. I have to say I would only really give this place two stars, if it wasn't for the food. Three out of the four bartenders were very unprofessional and were too busy socializing with their off duty coworkers. One of them was taking shots. Jon Taffer would have his azz fired pronto. I get it there is life out of work. But discussing where you are going to get drunk Sunday, before going to work, or who is shamming who is something a customer does not want to listen too.
