After the initial sales process things went downhill really fast. Once they lock you into the…read morecontract they lose complete interest in the project. The entire team is non-responsive and everything takes ridiculously long. From contract signing to getting the system fully operational took well over a year. They claim that is normal, but everybody I ever talked to had their system installed in about half that time. The only thing they are good at is covering up for each other and coming up with excuses. A year after completion one of our panels broke. In the contract they claim to have a highly responsive service department and fast turnaround times on warranty claims, but that is a total lie. They are again completely non-responsive. A month after starting the warranty claim we are still nowhere. Given how dishonest this company is, likely all or most of the positive reviews are fake and made up by the company itself in the time they spend not responding to their customers. All the negative reviews echo my experience and it is highly unlikely that they randomly choose to provide excellent service to some and dismal service to others with no middle ground. Do yourself a favor and do not use this company.

I noticed on the widget that the production was zero. When a consumer purchases a solar system, it's usually a financial decision to save money on electricity. Keeping it reliable and operating is that last thing you should have to worry about. Keep in mind, Goldin Solar isn't responsible for an equipment failure. The manufacturer is SolarEdge. I've contacted them for service. I'll update my review after the repair & their response time. They usually send great personable technicians. UPDATE: I was contacted Sept 20, 2024 that the inverter needed to be replaced by SolarEdge. It would cost $500 in labor, which I immediately paid. I believe the previous time I paid $350 to replace the inverter. It's not Goldin Solar's fault these things fail so often, but it sure hurts my pocketbook. Regardless, they are being responsive. They really should invest in software such as Salesforce to manage their customer maintenance and communication, since it appears to be causing issues for them. I've been asked by several about optimizers failing. In 7 years, no optimizers have failed. I am waiting for the SolarEdge inverter to arrive in the mail. I'll update after the repair. UPDATE: My Solaredge inverter arrived yesterday. I contacted "Michael" via text, and he told me he would send somebody the next day in the morning. The tech showed up today and replaced the inverter. This entire process was exactly 30 days. Keep in mind, the delay was due to Solaredge not shipping as quickly as Goldin Solar expected them to ship the box. I think that's a 5-star result, even after having to pay $500 for a repair. It's a ton of money and 3.5 months of electricity + 1 month of zero production. Regardless, it's a business and I need them to be profitable so they are there to support my system in the future. I don't want other hands involved. Old outdated technology. The Daikin FIT system is like an automobile AC on auto setting. Set the desired temp to 68 and the fan speed will lower while the cooling temp raises until it reaches 68. Then the system will continue running to maintain the desired temp. The Daikin FIT system is the FIRST home AC system that performs the same way. The compressor and air handler communicate to achieve this and the Daikin One thermostat is top of the line that displays outside temp and humidity along with indoor temp and humiDoty as the Daikin FIT system is also a dehumidifier. installing this system, as well as maintaining it, is more difficult than a standard AC unit so one wants to ensure they hire a company with extensive experience. That's we we decided on Daikin FIT and Ductmasters. We spoke with several other AC companies who tried to talk us out of the Daikin FIT system and instead tried to sell us the cheapest AC unit in the market, because that's all they knew how to install. Don't fall for the AC guy that tries to sell you on unit price because you will be sorry later. Ductmasters is a professional company that installed an entirely new duct system along with the Daikin system. The crew performed in a manner fitting of top notch commercial installers They arrived in 2 commercial vans and the crew immediately began to work like soldiers. The gutted the old duct system and carted it away. I know others leave it in the driveway for bulk trash pickup. They also brought 2 portable AC units to help cool the house for the 2 days we had no AC. It took them 3 days for the whole job and we couldnt be happier with the quality and performance. This is the worse company I've ever done business with…read more Other than the salesman who sold me $68,000 of solar panels for my home, I have NEVER been able to contact anyone at this company. At the last minute. They changed the solar panels from ones manufactured by Tesla to a Canadian manufacturer. I had no choice but to accept the change. I never received the app that would allow me to monitor the panels. I have a roof leak caused by a faulty installation of solar panels, but Urban Solar has not responded to any of my calls, emails or texts. This is a dishonest company.
