We had a leak behind our shower (master bedroom) that damaged the floor below and the ceiling in…read morethe dining room on the ground floor. This needed the entire shower taken out to have the leak repaired and built back up. Paramount came recommended by Gold Medal (plumbing company) who assessed the damage and recommended the repairs. Paramount initially sounded positive based on reviews however our experience was far from positive. Horribly rebuilt shower with (see images) 1. poor wall finish, causing the door to never be closed fully due to the curved wall 2. Damaged window siding and never repaired correctly (had to call them back twice to refinish it and even then it still looks terrible) 3. Poorly finished corners that are terrible to look at 4. Sharp jagged corners at the bottom of the shower stall near the door 5. Worst part is the shower floor that is beyond incorrectly graded causing pools of water to never fully drain. 6. Another part we can't verify but are certain is the case, is a p-trap was definitely not installed under the drain, which means we have foul sewer odors coming in quite often, and other than ripping out the bottom and repairing/rebuilding it again, we don't have a solution. When pushed about all this terrible work done, their excuse "we were rushed". They disappeared for days on end in between the renovation without clear indication of when they'd be back to complete the work. Hence us pushing to get this finished. Even years after this work was done (Sept 2023) we are constantly reminded of this abysmal work (in case you were wondering why I'm leaving this review now), and would never recommend these folks.

I hired Matt Larew to install a bathroom at my home. His price seemed reasonable and in-…read more line with the other quotes I received. So we hired him. To make a long story short, he ripped apart my home, leaving my family with a room without insulation, flooring or walls for over 6 months and in the winter. He also ripped up my kitchen to do flooring. I ended up with no flooring in my kitchen for the same amount of time. ( my kids cut their feet on the exposed metal he left on the floor ) The work he did do had to be redone by the new contractor (for the most part) so it would pass inspection. The one thing he included in his price that we didn't have to pick up and pay for was a bathroom window that didn't pass inspection and came without a screen. We paid for all the materials and 95% of his labor. He took off with our money and never made good on it. He took us for a lot of money. If you plan to use this company, I recommend you add the price of an attorney to his proposal. Buyer beware. I wouldn't give him a star but you need to to post this.

The prices were similar and I got the sense that Skydell would be easiest to work with. I made the right choice! My kitchen was renovated within a week of the anticipated time frame and they did a beautiful job, but what impressed me most was the way they handled the complications that inevitably arise when doing a big project. They are very professional and respectful and put the costumer first. My contractor was a pleasure to work with and showed up to complete the job after I had made my final payment. and to do a free repair several months later. I will be using Skydell again when I'm ready to renovate my bathrooms.
