Buc-ee's in Smiths Grove, Kentucky is wonderful! We came to Cave City for a few days and drove…read moreabout 15 miles further south on 65 just to go to Buc-ee's. It was Sunday June 7, 2026 around 9:00 am when we arrived. It was a mad house. We turned in on the lane that takes you directly to the gas pumps. We were driving for a while and just decided to park so we could go in and use the restroom and get something to eat. After using the spotless restroom and cleaning up, we went to get our food. As I said, the place was an absolute madhouse, but it was good madness. To see so many people packed in one place with smiles and looks of joy on their faces. Great time's. I know it's just a rest stop but it's so much more. This place just makes people happy. It was still breakfast time so they were still serving the incredible brisket tacos. I absolutely love just the brisket taco with their green salsa. It's amazing! My taco was packed with brisket and comes on the fresh made tortillas they make right there in the store. My wife loves the brisket and egg taco just plain the way it comes. They are equally as good and also loaded with brisket and a good amount of egg. After getting our food, we went and got a few of the new Buc-ee's America 250 merchandise. We just got a couple of t-shirts and a fridge magnet. There is anything you can imagine in the merchandise section. After checking out, we went to our car to eat our food. Sitting there eating we just watched a non stop line of cars pulling in. It was like it was timed perfectly. Every vehicle seemed like they were spaced out the perfect distance from one another. It was like it was choreographed. We sat there for about a half hour watching this. It was hilarious. When we finished eating, we went to fuel up before getting back on the road. This particular day the gas was $3.47 a gallon. When we got back to Cave City, the gas was $3.74. Even with all of those cars coming in, there was no waiting to get to a gas pump. Buc-ee's is a fun place to stop in and grab a snack, have some awesome brisket, pulled pork, or beef jerky. It's just a wonderful place.

We shared the southwest egg-rolls and they were delightful. I ordered the Montanas Mongolian Beef Special. It was plentiful and very tasty. All the dishes were served nice and hot. Lastly, they have a great relaxed atmosphere with really cool decor. I really enjoyed the cabin like appearance of the establishment.

We were quickly seated and ordered our drinks while studying the really excellent menu. Instead of rolls, a cast iron skillet containing "Fire Bread" was delivered to our table. It was delicious and was quickly devoured while waiting for our dinners. My wife ordered the Montana fried chicken salad and I opted for the chicken pot pie. While the salad was nothing out of the ordinary (except the chicken was quite good) she thoroughly enjoyed it. My chicken pot pie was really good and it contained lots of large chunks of chicken. Many places that serve this dish think all you have to do is put some pastry puff over the chicken and you have chicken pot pie. NOT! At Montana Grill, this dish was prepared like I would make it at home-a complete crust which does a great job sopping up the chicken and vegetables. The portion was huge and had I not been traveling, I would have taken some home. This dish was also served in a cast iron skillet. Service was excellent and appreciated after driving nearly 9 hours. We waited for nothing. Very happy to have been reintroduced to Montana Grill.

I chose Mid-South HVAC & Electrical after reaching out to seven different companies for quotes to…read morereplace my AC and furnace. Cameron responded to my initial inquiry promptly and provided a formal quote that stood out from the rest. Getting quotes from contractors in Tennessee can be a challenge, but Mid-South made the process straightforward. Their prices were reasonable, and Cameron answered all my questions thoroughly and promptly, so we decided to move forward with the work. I do have to mention that the day before the replacement, one of the crew members came by to inspect the ductwork, which required climbing through my attic. Unfortunately, during that process, he accidentally stepped through the ceiling, creating an 18-inch hole. This incident added a lot of extra work to the project, but Cameron, although not always the most timely communicator, took responsibility. He sourced and paid for the repairs, which included repainting the ceiling and an adjacent wall. I imagine it was an expensive mistake for him and his team. Even though I'll have to hire someone out of pocket to fix the lumpy drywall after two unsuccessful attempts from two different contractors, I'm still giving Mid-South HVAC & Electrical 5 stars, for now. The crew worked efficiently to replace the units, all while respecting our shoeless house policy, which I'm sure was inconvenient for them. The new AC is holding up well through the recent 99-degree heat, and we'll see how the furnace performs this winter. We also have a 1-year labor warranty, which I hope we won't need to use.
