I wonder when these chargers would show up in the Tesla supercharger navigator inside the car, as we only saw the original 12 stalls there. Anyway, this was a pretty good location with lots of shops and restaurants. Our daughter did some shopping at Ultra Beauty and we got smoothies from Blender's while charging. There's plenty of space to walk our dog. If we arrived a little early, we would have caught the Sunday Farmers' Market, too.

First time in Santa Barbara!!!…read more This weekend was my wife's 40th birthday and to celebrate, we wanted to get out of town for the weekend and visit somewhere neither of us had ever been. In enters the idea of Santa Barbara. First thing we noticed when looking into hotels was everything was very expensive. I think this was exacerbated by graduation weekend and being a holiday weekend. We settled on Inn by the Harbor after looking at other options and it seemed small and quaint but like a beautiful property and it affords its guests with free parking. Traffic coming up from San Diego was atrocious from the moment we reached LA, but after five and a half hours we made it! It felt good to get out and stretch and we made our way to the lobby. The front of the resort is small but beautiful and has a very Spanish appearance. It was very green and beautiful as well as being centrally located being close to the harbor and the funk zone. We were greeted by Sam who got us checked in quickly, gave us a rundown of the town and even offered us complimentary beverages after he saw that it was my wife's birthday. Sam was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We made our way to the room on the inner portion of the complex and the greenery was very welcoming as we approached the door to our room. The room was small, but furnished nicely, had plenty of storage space, a TV, microwave, AC and a small area near the bathroom where my wife could get ready. There were windows on the front and rear of the room which allowed plenty of natural light which was also nice. The maids were also very friendly when we'd say hello as we were coming and going. We were very comfortable during our stay and it appears they take good care of the complex and the rooms. Although we didn't partake, I also appreciate the fact that they have complimentary breakfast as well as a wine and cheese happy hour in the afternoon. Checkout time was 11am which was plenty and it was nice not having to call for a late checkout. As previously mentioned, this was our first trip up to Santa Barbara but if we find ourselves up here again, I would have no question on where to stay. It's a nice inn and was only a 10-15 minute walk to wherever we wanted to go.

If you visit in the summer, I recommend dressing cool, wearing a hat, comfortable shoes, and some sunscreen. There are areas where there is limited shade so the sun can feel rough in those areas. There is some incline in certain areas, but nothing crazy. The red woods were beautiful, and I loved that there were some areas where they provided some seating areas near cool view spots. There were even some hammocks and some areas that were kid friendly. There's even a small nursery where you can purchase pots and plants near the entrance.

Me an my friend travel a lot and have stayed at another pallihouse loaction this must be the worst out of all of them and for this reason alone I will be staying at a different hotel that's not overpriced in Santa Barbara from now on but will be back at the other pallihouse locations when I travel.

The last leg of our trip brought us to Santa Barbara Airport. I had not been in the area for years…read moreand had never flown through this airport, even though I grew up in the area. When I tell you this airport is small, I mean SMALL! It is also extremely easy to navigate. You definitely do not need the same amount of time to get through this airport as you would at a larger one. TSA is only one floor up, and we got through security very quickly. Based on our experience, you could probably arrive about an hour before your flight and still get through without a problem. Of course, I would still follow your airline's recommended arrival time just to be safe. Getting out of the airport is just as easy. You only have to go down one floor, and once you walk outside, everything is conveniently located right there. The Uber pickup area is directly across the street, along with taxis and bus transportation. You do not have to walk a long distance or search around trying to figure out where to go. The beauty of flying through a smaller airport is how quick and convenient everything is. The disadvantage is that there are fewer flights, and they seem to stop fairly early. There are also not many restaurants or shops once you get through security. My main complaint is the seating. The seats looked very old and sat extremely low. They definitely need to upgrade them. I do not remember seeing charging ports near the seats, although I cannot say for certain that there were none. The gate areas are also very small. When several flights are boarding around the same time, the crowds and lines can spill over into the neighboring gates. That can become confusing because you cannot always tell which passengers are standing in which boarding line or even which gate they are waiting for. Everyone we encountered was helpful, and the overall process was still a breeze. For some flights, you do have to walk outside across the tarmac to board the plane. The weather was beautiful while we were there, but I can only imagine that walk being a little inconvenient during bad weather. If you need to travel to the Santa Barbara area, I think it is worth paying a little more to fly directly into this airport. To me, it does not make sense to fly into LAX just to save a little money and then have to drive all the way up while sitting in that LA traffic. Who wants to do that after getting off a flight? Overall, Santa Barbara Airport was small, convenient, and easy to navigate. The seats and gate areas could use some improvements, but it was still one of the quickest airport
