I had my not regular enough facial with her last Friday and when I was actually conscious it dawned on my why I love her so. Her facials are more than just a facial, they're a facassage or facialssage. I fall asleep every time and walk out there relaxed and looking amazing. Promila also has services that you won't find at your typical skincare day spa - shiro dara, candling, and many other Ayurvedic treatments. The Shiro dara experience is one I will never forget. She drizzles warm oil over your forehead (your third eye) and it's so relaxing I ended up falling asleep and dreaming about being on some cliff overlooking the beach. I came in expecting the worst but I've had worse and I've had better. I bumped it down and was debating docking another star off for the following reasons: -I got a stye. You know, the tender, swollen, red eye pimple? I wear gel liner and apply with a clean brush with every application in addition to mascara (new tube every 3-4 months) and have lately been using a lot of coconut oil due to eczema flare ups right under my eyes. I've been using coconut oil for years now, so the sudden stye was alarming. Linda put a lot of oils on my face including something she massaged me with. (Hallelujah. A massage. Head face neck shoulders and upper back) I loved what she used because let's be real. My skin was on point after the appointment but it's all up in my right eye and I'm tender and I'm over here feeling like a panda without eyes! -I got some greasy hair. Woah baby. And by grease, I mean, hand me some chicken wings and we got a snack in the making. (Jk. Salmonella. Gross.) I never plan anything after a facial anyways so I went home and showered, washing my hair twice just for safe measure. -I was slapped. Lol it sounds so wrong but she goes from a lovely A+++ massage to *smack smack smack!* right to the face. I'm gonna say this was for blood circulation and punishment for my snoring. Side note: her sink is not in the room so she walks in and out occasionally to change the water and the room is a bit cluttered. She has a private room at each location, so it is not a day spa, though the room has a spa feel. I have had appointments while in pain and also when feeling great, always leaving feeling better. She offers various types of body therapy, however I pretty must stick to a basic massage from head to toe. Normally, I check on MBZ website to see the specials, which is great because when I buy a package they normally do not expire. Consistency in a massage is important, so knowing up front that I am going to have a peaceful good massage is a comfort and something I look forward to. Since I am a last minute person, getting a spot can be challenging since she gets pretty busy, however we usually can come up with a mutual time.

The best massage ever!…read more I paid $60 for combo 1-hour body oil massage and 1-hour facial. I was having one of those weeks and decided that I wanted a relaxing massage. I called in the morning and was quoted over the phone. They were able to take me in that same day. The location is located on Decoto in the strip mall next to Safeway. This place is a hidden jem! Julie was my massage therapist and led me into the cozy room. The background sounds were very soothing all throughout the whole session. The massage was sooo relaxing, not painful at all. She did a great job and really took her time. I never felt so relaxed and i did not want it to end! After she was done, the esthetician Anna, came in and started on my facial. She started off by evaluating my face, cleaning and then extracting away. Everyone knows that extractions can be a bit painful but she always stopped in between to make sure that I was ok. In fact it was not painful at all. It would have been nice if I was under the steam for a little while longer but she put in the time to give me yet another relaxing massage on my face, neck, scalp, shoulders and arms. I was there for a total of a little over 2 1/2 hours for $60. What a deal! They also offer other services such as foot reflexology, body scrubs, etc. I chose the massage and facial. However, you can mix and match - full body massage, body scrub, foot reflexology for the same price. Lastly, every Wednesday/Thursday they have a special for $35 hour for full body oil massages. The whole entire experience was worth the trip over. I felt good supporting a new small business, rather than giving money to some corporate spa place. I would highly recommend this place and I intend to be a repeat customer.
