A fun decor feature is their display of completed Playmobil sets on shelves around the perimeter of the north side of the store -- some of the sets our own grown offspring had as children. We found a few treasures to purchase, including a fun looking 1000 piece puzzle. The store staff were cordial and helpful, even if they were not going out of their way to greet everyone who came through the doors. One big plus for us, after walking around downtown Corvallis for a few hours, is they have public restrooms available! You have to ask for a key at the checkout counter, but the restrooms are very clean and well maintained; and for those with very small children, there are full-sized changing tables. We often find ourselves being sort of "restroom snobs" when it comes to shops and restaurants; but we find the condition of the bathroom is often an accurate indicator of the rest of the facility. Anyway, The Toy Factory is a wonderful little shop, and I highly recommend it.

We saw cool geodes, foraged mushrooms, a cute lil' bakery, a produce seller with fresh strawberries and peaches, creative art prints, and a vegan food truck among other vendors. It takes place on Sundays and if you are spending some time on the beach, you might as well see what treasures you can procure at the farmer's market, too!

They did have some traditional style arrangements in the cooler, the cut flowers on hand looked fresh, and I'm sure you'd be happy with one of their arrangements. I was actually just wandering around downtown and happened to spy some chocolate through their window. Once I walked in, I discovered a great variety of high quality chocolate bars as well as Spokandy chocolates (and maybe other bon bon or truffle style chocolates, but it was mostly bars). We're talkin' Cultura, mellow, Meurisse, Blanxart, Cacao Hunters, and Domori, to name a few. They are also supporting local with Ranger and Moonstruck. They had some beautifully arranged plants, including many tillandsia/air plants, some even hanging from colored glass so they looked like an octopus! The gal at the front was helpful and friendly, and I heard her tell another customer the shop has been open for almost 100 years. How cool is that?!

I still have the flowers I received from Valentine's Day. He is a customer for life and I am greatly appreciative of the quality of their work. I recently bought a bouquet and some leis for my boyfriend's daughter's graduation. The leis were an easy order but the bouquet was a little trickier. I asked for something between $60-70 and the woman helping me said "Let's split it down the middle at $65" Deal! She asked what I wanted in the bouquet and I said "she likes sunflowers and her school colors were orange and black; whatever you can do with that." This is what I got. The bouquet was huge and my picture doesn't come close to doing it justice, and the leis were of great quality. I couldn't have been happier with my experience.
