In May I made an appointment for me and my mom (who was in from out of town) for pedicures and everything about our experience was awesome! We were able to get in right away and did not have to wait at all once we got there. The girls who did our nails (I believe one of them was the owner) were friendly and professional and the salon was spotless. We also loved the massage chairs! As far as the pedicures, they were perfect and lasted forever! I highly recommend this salon. My mom is coming to visit again next week and the first thing she wants to do is get another pedicure here. Besides having great pedicures, we both felt like they truly appreciated our business! I would never go back here. Got an acrylic full set and the nails were lifting from the base the next day. The gel also was completely chipping off and I had to go somewhere else the next week to get a fill because the nails were so horrible!!!! Completely misshapen and different lengths too, and I wish I had taken a picture to show just how bad it was. Just so you know, they also tried to switch the price on me. I was quoted $50 and when the bill came it was $65. I argued with the lady who did my nails and she agreed that it was misquoted. The manage then came out and said they were giving me a "special discount" of $15 off even though that is what I was originally quoted. I never leave reviews on yelp but I hope this saves someone else from getting a bad manicure or being duped out of their money. read more

Altho she has always done a fabulous job, the last several times I've been there she barely acknowledges me, doesn't talk to me, yet talks nonstop to her other technicians in another language. Clearly she has become ungrateful for my business and doesn't feel the need to give good customer service. My mom spends the summers with me and we have been trying to find a place that does pedicures well and is clean. We selected this place after reading the reviews from yelp. My mom made an appointment for today and the first thing they did correct was to take her on time. Secondly, she said the salon was very clean. She liked that the tools were sanitized and bagged. My mom received a pedicure and an eyebrow wax. She had a women named Nessa. She was very caring and did a great job on both. The price was the same as any other salon but the service and the clean salon will bring her back. I think I am going to try it as well. read more

Wow times have changed. I took an ex here a about a year ago, and the place looked dingy and dirty. My new gf wanted to try it out again, even though I warned her not to. But girls can actually be right? The place has new owners that did a complete make over. The place was spotless, very elegant looking (no pun intended), everything looked brand new. I got a mani/pedi. They were offering some promotion at the time with an upgraded pedicure. Can't pass up free. Let me tell you, this is something I'd pay for. They use this scrub on your feet, then at the end, they put my feet in some parafin wax. Not gonna lie, a little weird at first, but my oh my.. my feet felt great after. Kind of felt like I had new feet! The service was really fantastic. My tech, Ann, was very attentive, always asking if everything was ok; water too hot? Does it tickle too much ( I warned her ahead of time). She was really cautious and held a great conversation with me. A lot of nail places, I've found, do a poor job of holding conversations with you, or converse in their language the whole time. From my observations, it wasn't the case here. It wasn't super crowded. Everyone was friendly, said hi and bye to as we came and left. Will come back. They won our business. read more

First time here and it was a wonderful experience. The receptionist is a little uptight but don't let that sour you. My feet were a hot mess from a previous no-chip pedi (done elsewhere and never again) I did a minor splurge and had a deluxe pedicure with lavender and paraffin, it was AMAZING! Susan did a great job trimming my nails and exfoliating my feet. She was not aggressive and really cleaned up my nails well! I was kinda surprised as she was so gentle, based on previous pedi experiences. My feet feel great and look outstanding!!! Definitely a place I will return to! Made an apt and ended up still having to wait 15 min. Then my tech Shella apologized and was great at communicating what she was doing. I told her I liked my toe nails short and round which she did and then asked me to look and see if they were to my liking which many people do not-they were perfect. All the girls were very friendly and patient with me my 5 month old who got a bit grumpy and noisy towards the end. I appreciated that and he did too as many of them came over to talk to him and tickle him ;) This place is super clean and does great work! I think my search for a regular nail salon near StCharles is finally done! It is a little more expensive than most places around but worth the extra $5 for sure. Hands down that best place I have ever gotten my nails done. I have been coming to Elegant Nails for about 1.5 years now regularly getting no chip manicures and the occasional pedicure in the summer time. They are friendly, have never cut me, and stand by their work. I have on more than one occasion cracked a nail in the cold weather and they always patch it for me free of charge. The place is good as far as nails go. However, the HUGE downside to Elegant Nails is the NASTY receptionist that answers the phone and thinks she owns the place. Very upset with this salon and I will never go back. The red flag should have gone up when the nail tech told me there is no difference between gel and acrylic, other than the dry time. I decided to go with the gel, agreeing to the $45 plus 5 extra for a french (acrylic is 25$). Trusting this girl, I allowed her to proceed with applying what she claimed were gel nails, which were in fact ACRYLIC tips. The chemicals she used made me cough. The french tip was her sloppily applying white polish to75 percent of my nail, and the touching them up with a brush dipped in acetone. One of the nails had bubble in it and was smeared, but she told me it was my fault, even though it was the same nail she stuck her finger in and unsuccessfully tried to fix. After I got home, I watched so you tube videos on gel nails and realize I was ripped off and scammed. Worst part is, even for acrylics, they look terrible. They were not filed properly so they are jaggged on the sides, they are too thick, the french is sloppy, and 3 of nail's polish is cracking off (it's been 4 hours!). I won't mention the bloody hangnail she picked off me and then tossed her tool right back in her drawer. read more
