I'm in business myself, and when and if a customer has an issue, it should be aggressively addressed and resolved. That's how you get repeat business, that's how you get good word-of-mouth, that's how you stay in business. However, this florist is atrocious. I had scheduled flowers to be delivered in Cheshire, Connecticut, three days before Valentine's Day. They were never delivered. There was no phone call. There was no email. There was nothing. I called the day after Valentine's Day because I was notified that they had never been delivered. I was met with a loud, aggressive woman who was just nasty. I don't know what other word to use. It was almost as if everything was my fault, and I don't even know what I did. She said to send her an email with a confirmation, which, again, I don't know why she didn't have it, but I did. I then followed up with another email a few days later, but there was no response regarding the hundred dollars I spent. I don't care, I'm not chasing it down, lesson learned, and I don't understand how a person operates a business in this manner, and I don't know how a person like this stays in business. read more

HORRIBLE. I ordered an expensive premium floral arrangement for a funeral thru Teleflora and was shocked to see what was sent. I notified Teleflora as well of my dissatisfaction. They obviously must not care about the quality of the local florists they use to fill orders. Shameful. Spend your money elsewhere. Horrible flowers from this place. Ordered a premium bday arrangement for my mom and what she received was straight garbage.

WHAT A RIPOFF. I ordered the pillar/greenery arrangement on the left via justflowers.com and got the substandard, poorly designed thing in the right photo. Instead of a pillar I got a short taper. The two gold horn ornaments were missing. It was supposed to have 2 types of greenery, I got one... and they look like branches cut from the bottom of my Xmas tree. Cheap, faux velvet bow instead of the full plaid one. And $20 charge for delivery from Cheshire to Wallingford, CT. I got $60 dollars worth of nothing...but a whole lot of embarrassment when I saw this photo my friend sent. I wrote to the florist and they didn't respond. After a 3-week run-around with justflowers.com, I got $10 back. Don't bother with this substandard florist or the online place that represents them. You can do better at the grocery store florist! I can see from the other reviews here that this is a pattern with this shop. read more

My mother received an arrangement from this florist today. Horrible doesn't even begin to describe it. There are flowers that are about 3 inches long down in the water in the vase. A rose, which is suppose to be the center of the arrangement is so short and down lower than the other flowers you can't even see it unless you look at from directly above. They look like they were just thrown in the vase by an elementary student. Zoom the picture in and you can see the flower buds in the water. How sad is this? This is a professional? Really? Do NOT waste your money with this lousy excuse for a florist. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

AWFUL! My elderly mother in PA called to deliver an arrangement to my son's home who is disabled and has been fighting cancer for sometime. This place left a glass vase with the flowers on a cement landing by his front door in the midst of a severe wind storm without calling him. The vase fell over (surprise!) and shattered. When he called to complain, the woman hung up on him. He called again and they delivered a small, cheap arrangement. I'm sure my mother spent a lot of money on a nice arrangement for him and I don' feel my son got what was paid for or deserved. read more

My sister sent me an arrangement for my birthday. I sent her a picture of it and she said it looked nothing like what she ordered. It was awful. It was in an ugly black plastic thing and you could see the floral foam and floral tape. Hideous. They should be ashamed of themselves. My sister called the shop and spoke to a woman who was totally rude. Again, the arrangement was awful. It's sitting in my garage. Too ugly to put in the house. read more

The five star rating given above is complete BS,: probably written by the owner. We had an extremely poor experience with this florist. The delivered arrangement was about one third of the advertised size and did not contain any of the expected flowers. The best part is that 184 South Main Street is a pet grooming shop. We think whoever delivered our arrangement bought it at a local super market. Run as fast as you can from Elegant Orchids. read more

Was not only impressed by the beautiful arrangement but also with the delivery. When the driver didn't get a response when she rang my doorbell, she called my home to ensure I found the bouquet by the front door. This action deserves an A+ compared to the B- that occurred a few months ago when I had an arrangement sent to my brother in Austin, TX for his 70th BD. Unfortunately he never found it until the next day since he never received a call where the arrangement was left. Little things make a big difference!!! read more
