She is a kiss and tail wag in the morning, play mate in the afternoon and cuddle bug in the evening. She has been the biggest help in my husband's loss of his brother. Shimmer had an amazing career in the show ring. She won her championship from the puppy classes and finished with a win at the biggest show in the state. Once she was finished with her championship, she switched careers and became my son's dog in Junior Showmanship. With Shimmer's help he qualified and won a spot at the Westminster KC show at Madison Square Garden. Not only did Janet breed such an amazing dog for us, she continued to support us. When Shimmer was ready for puppies, Janet flew across the country and stayed with us for over a week to help out. Years later, now an extremely elderly dog, Shimmer likes to nap and cuddle. Our second Havanese from Janet was Dazzle. Dazzle was even more amazing in the show ring. Dazzle won her championship in four straight shows and was done. Once Dazzle was done showing, she became my soul dog. She is and was my forever favorite dog. Our third Havanese from Janet was Crystal. She is also amazing. I've had many dogs during my life but Crystal is the first and only one that has never had a potty accident. She is now almost 4 years old. She claimed me as her person and loves to sit in my lap. She also does her assigned job of playing with Shimmer and making sure Shimmer gets up and is active at least 3 times a day. (Otherwise the elderly Shimmer would sleep all of the time). Janet is an amazing breeder who uses her background in genetics and her years of experience to breed healthy dogs. When you get a puppy from her it will be healthy. She also works to match the personality of dogs and new owners. If you get a Havanese from Janet, it will be well socialized and ready to be a member of your family. She also has kept in touch with us and provided support for almost two decades since we got our first Havanese. I would like to take issue with some of the negative reviews. Janet loves her dogs and will refuse to sell a dog if she doesn't think the perspective buyer is a good match for that puppy's personality. She will even refuse to sell to some buyers if she doesn't think they will be appropriate for any of her dogs. Two of the reviews sound like disgruntled people who were not matched with a puppy. The third negative review just sounds like fiction. He says he was working on the house and found 60+ small dogs. He says he called animal control. His story doesn't ring true. There is no public record of animal control responding. As a public safety agency, all such responses are recorded and open to public scrutiny. A "bust" of that many animals would also have made the local news, but there is no record in any of the local papers either. It just doesn't sound true.
