Their staff and hospitality went far above and beyond. It was our first stay as Platinum guests, so they gave us a gorgeous room upgrade with a mountain view. But the above and beyond began when it came to our nephew, who has autism. They were so helpful, patient, and kind. He was loud AF in the breakfast buffet and even grabbed the tongs from the strawberries and took off with them. They were gentle and sweet and just replaced them. Then they let him play with the games outside, which were super sensory-friendly for him. Later in the day, he had a major accident in the bathroom. We called down to tell them what happened, and the front desk agent was there within two minutes with towels and garbage bags. Five minutes later, housekeeping was there with tons of cleaning supplies (we told them we would clean; we just needed the supplies). Ten minutes after that, maintenance stopped by with a plunger and other things and finished everything up for us. Crying even now as I write this. Because later, after all the meltdowns settled and he was finally chilled for a bit, the front desk sent housekeeping up with some whole milk so we didn't have to go out and get more. Our day was good because he was loved and cared for and the because the Element staff made sure we felt cared for and supported as well. Big kudos to them. This is my 4th summer as a long term guest. And although this place is not perfect, it rolls with the punches and is resilient! The place is clean. The service is impeccable. Management is attentive, front desk staff are always willing to help and the breakfast is great. The beds continue to be super comfortable and I do not give that away very easy! As a long term guest you have grills to cook on outside and a stove top. They give out free (excellent tasting) wine during the week, the dog park is amazing. This is where I feel bad for staff who have to clean up after disgusting dog owners who do not clean up after their dogs. The roof deck is my favorite place. This place feels like my second home in the summer! read more

At breakfast, the eggs were still raw. We notified staff and I was rudely told not to eat them if I don't like it. I notified assistant manager Bill Kinsloe. He also was rude to me and lied by saying he was there and staff did not say that. I used strong language which he didn't like. I stead of using good management skills and calmly discussing my complaint, he kicked me out of the hotel early though I had prepaid for my stay. I might add that I am a Platinum Elite Marriott Bonvoy member and this is my first negative review of a Marriott. read more

We booked an overnight night stay here on a long road trip. The hotel was trendy and quaint. Beautiful views of downtown Asheville from the rooftop. There was a fire pit on the patio level with a water display and bean bag toss games to try your hand at. The mini kitchen in the room was an absolute bonus for us although we only used the sink and fridge but there was a stove with cooking ware if needed. Room was great for our family of 4 with plenty of space. They serve a continental breakfast with fruit, granola, juice and other items. Again, we were only passing though but it was a nice spot to recline at for the night. read more

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was always friendly. Overall this might be my new favorite hotel brand. I really liked the vibe of this place. My only compliant really is the parking was a bit limited though we always got a space but there were never any extra spaces it seemed. It would also be nice if they had more healthful and gluten free breakfast options Our window was by the highway so we had a lot of traffic noise but it was almost soothing. They have a great workout area and pool. I'll stay again for sure! read more

My latest experience with Element Asheville was less than spectacular. In town to visit with my daughter, and had reserved a balcony suite for the night. Without our knowledge, our room was changed to a basic studio room on the opposite end of the hotel next to a very noisy and busy highway. My wife & I were dumbfounded. The following morning I looked at my receipt, and yes, they had knocked about $100 off the cost of the room and waived our parking fee. Just not an acceptable switch. Upon checkout, I politely made my discovery known to the morning manager and he apologized and confirmed, but did not give us a reason for the change. He then told us the next time we stay to let him know and he would make sure to do something for us. When I reserve a room, I expect to get that room. Being switched to lesser accommodations without letting me know in order to give me a chance to find something more suitable is not acceptable. For the Marriott management and customer service folks reading this, it is Confirmation Number: 73352933 Other little things - seemingly insignificant. The tea at the breakfast bar - no black teas or regular teas, all green teas. The manager on the floor was apologetic and at first tried to tell us the tea selection was the same at all Element hotels and this was it. My bride (correctly) insisted they had better selections during our previous stays in recent months and that this stay was not what we were used to. The floor manager and one of the other food service persons went in search of more tea selections, the young lady came back with an English Teatime and apologized, confirming my bride was correct. The floor manager also came back and apologized, expressed that she was correct and the order they had most recently received had been incomplete. The coffee urn was consistently empty and the manager then diverted me (and many others) to a machine that would provide fresh ground coffee. Just keep the urn filled? Some people don't want to push buttons on a high tech coffee/espresso/cappuccino machine. Some of us just want simple. Otherwise, the scrambled eggs, pancakes and sausage were consistent. Our stay was very much NOT consistent with what we are used to from this hotel. Quite disappointing. It is very unlikely we will be staying here again. read more

The loudest hotel I've ever stayed in. You will need to go to bed very late in order to sleep bc this hotel is flanked on both sides by busy roads. I'd expect with a location like this that they'd do some soundproofing so guests can sleep. There's a sense of echoing everywhere inside the hotel too so voices carry, sounds are heightened and doors slam louder than what I've heard at other places. They charge you for parking but the lot is small so when I got back to my room last night around 10 there were literally no parking spaces left, which is unacceptable when you're paying for parking. The hotel itself is very nice and I would stay at another Element property but I would never stay here again. read more

Wow. I stayed here in March 2023 for 3 nights and I did not want to leave!!! I LOVE an Element hotel and this is by far my favorite so far. Immaculate. Bright. Airy. It felt like home, actually it was nicer and brighter and cleaner than my home. It was so nice to have a comfortable space to come back to at the end of each day. Staff was friendly, happy hour reception was small but a nice treat. The gym was always empty when I went which was great. Everything I tried to use was in working order. There are nice looking laundry facilities for guests that looked new and clean - and there was free detergent! Parking was easy and the location felt really safe. The best pat of it was the views. Oh my gosh, those mountains in the distance! Stunning! Rooms are well appointed - it has a tap in each room for fresh filtered water in addition to the sink. The kitchen had a new Scrub Mommy sponge and a baby Palmolive (other Elements I've stayed at use a generic of each so this felt fancy!). The smaller room that I stayed in only had a mini fridge and no stove top, but I didn't need the larger one. I will be looking for reasons to return to Asheville just to stay at this property, no joke! Breakfast was decent - very healthy. I do wish there were some less healthy options haha the mini muffins were good though! They had fruit infused water always in the lobby and Saran wrapped Granny Smiths so you could always take one. I really appreciate the Saran Wrap. Easy to grab it and take it with you and you using have everyone's germy hands on them in the bowl. There are also bikes available but I didn't use them. This hotel is on the other side of the tunnel, so it's away from the other hotels, but it's 1000% worth the extra 3 min drive. read more

I had a nice stay! But I have not been to any other hotels in Asheville so I don't have much to compare to. The reason I am giving 5 stars is the room design!! Things I liked about the room design: -the black-out curtains did a great job of blocking light in the morning. -the kitchenette was really nice and really useful. It had silverware, a toaster, a sponge, some bowls, a fridge, etc. -the art was cute -the shower was big, the water pressure was good, and it did not splash water all over the bathroom like I am used to when I go to hotels! -the bed was really comfortable. I also went in the pool and it was nice! But I wish they had a hot tub. It was cold! The parking lot is also kind of small, but I didn't have any issues with it while I was there. There are a few electric chargers for electric cars in the parking lot. read more

Right outside downtown and such an easy drive to get to the restaurants! The workers are so sweet and the room was very clean! The sound of the highway was not as loud as people are saying. Even if it is too loud for you, you'll be able to recognize that within the first 10 minutes and can figure out if it's the right fit for you or not! The main complaint of people you will find in these reviews is that this is next to a highway and another major road. To me, it is no thing at all as I enjoy city noise and that is to be expected when you're literally located the city centre of Asheville. The Element is an absolutely superb choice to stay at if you want to enjoy the modern amenities of a brand new hotel. Though we have been staying during the week, we have greatly enjoyed not having to deal with kids. Staying in a place that has been kids-free has been an absolute dream. I do recognize this might not be the case at other time of the year or even on weekends, but the quietness of the place has really given us solace comparably to where we stayed the first part of our vacation in another city. I really enjoy the breakfast and rooftop. Those have really been the highlights of the stay. The breakfast is a wonderful spread of cereals, healthy food options like egg whites and egg and tomato bites, other pleasantries such as crepes, a yogurt bar, an assortment of baked goods, plus fruit galore. I liked the added touch of the fruit infused water they have out that is refreshing, yet not overpowering. The front desk associates and customer service manager, Rachael, was a dream to work with. They are very nice people who seem to enjoy working here. Parking is ample for the most part unless you're returning later in the evening. We had a bit a difficult time finding a space. Nevertheless, we did and it worked out. Though, I will say there is an individual who has been double parking the last 2 nights in front of the hotel and that is a super nuisance since it is taking up space that someone else could park in. On-site, there is an exercise facility, small in-door pool, non-smoking rooftop, outside patio with grills (that had never been used because my fiancé was so curious to check....), and a fire pit to enjoy. We used the laundry room to wash our clothes and you're paying $1-2 per load for wash/dry. The front desk provides quarters, but ensure you have dollar bills since they will not trade coins for a card swipe. There are several ATMs and banks nearby to satisfy this if you need to get cash. We got this place for a steal by staying during the week. It is totally worth it and we have truly had a wonderful time. Beds sleep comfortably, too. read more

The hotel was clean. The complimentary breakfast was good with many choices but the bad.... Noise! The hotel sits directly between a busy 2 lane road at the beginning of a tunnel and a 4 lane interstate. In addition to interstate noise it must be the Mecca for cars with jet engines as they would all night long enter the tunnel and then push the gas to the floor. I don't mean once or twice a night. I mean ALL NIGHT LONG FOR 3 NIGHTS. During the day it was sport bikes. These are not necessarily the fault of the hotel but they are certainly a consideration if one is to get any rest. In addition to that I do not believe any door in the hotel has a closer on it. Meaning that if one is not paying attention their door will close with a slam behind them. ALL NIGHT LONG. Also be aware, as I was not, that there is a $12 per day parking fee added on at the end of the stay. The hotel is convenient to downtown access and, as stated, tidy but I can not recommend it due to the traffic and door noise. read more

This place was an excellent value in downtown Asheville. It is up the hill a little on College, but the walk is pleasant. If you really wanted to avoid the hill, you can drive 4-5 blocks and park. The hotel is fairly new and the staff were all great and seemed happy to welcome us. The breakfast was a little more classy than other Marriott's of this level... wine glasses for juice and hot water/ tea available all day. There were also these delicious fish tortillas with avocado and tomato at the breakfast. Beautiful views of downtown. read more

This place has everything you need. Rooms have a kitchenette with mini refrigerator, sink, microwave. Huge TV and large shower. Other amenities are two patio areas: One is one the ground floor with a firepit and grills (grill utensils are at the front desk) the other is a rooftop lounge. The place has laundry on-site with soap supplied by the front desk cost $1-$2 to wash and dry. The customer service is off the charts and breakfast was phenomenal! Parking! Limited parking on-site, and it's $12 per day. I don't like that you have to pay to park. read more

Great stay. The room was spacious and clean. The staff at the breakfast buffet were constantly restocking and cleaning. The gym is small but well equipped with new machines. The pool is small but warm on a very cold day and plenty of fresh towels. Staff seemed to be cleaning all the time (I even saw a manger wiping the hall walls). Lobby had lemon water and second floor coffee machine made all kinds of espresso drinks with grinding fresh beans. Happy hour at 5 with beer/ wine and dog friendly too. While it's not directly downtown it's a couple minutes by car or you can walk in a nice day (it's downhill to get there) read more

Our room was next to the highway. They did not adequately insulate the walls to hold back the noise. It was by far the loudest room we've ever stayed in dealing with the outdoor elements. Very inexcusable to build that close to a highway and not sound proof the rooms. You could see this happen with smaller operators but not Marriott. Save the money and Book another hotel - you'll get a good nights sleep. Oh and I forgot, they did offer to refund my $12 parking ticket per night. read more

It is new with rooms nice but smaller. Great proximity to downtown. The issue is it is like sleeping in a truck stop parking lot as it is next to highway. The windows appear to not have any sound insulation and it sounded like the trucks were driving through your room. I would not stay here if the rooms were free, but terrible when they charge you an extremely high rate. Maybe why they had openings and the Grove hotel was sold out. read more

This hotel exceeded our expectations in all respects. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff set the tone at the seamless checkin process. The woman who checked us in gave us a detailed primer on the various facilities of the hotel, their locations, and times of operation. When we checked into our fifth floor room, it was spotless. The bathroom, including a large shower, looked as if no guests had ever stayed there before us. The bedding was clean, of good quality, and very comfortable. While some reviewers have commented on a high noise level from outside, we simply kept the windows closed and availed ourselves of the excellent climate control. There was a handy kitchenette in the room, and a convenient and well stocked pantry near the front desk that has snacks, convenience foods and travel necessities. There is also a large "breakfast room" on the second floor that serves a complimentary continental breakfast each morning. While we did not have the time to use them, there are a spotless, well maintained indoor pool and gym. There is a rooftop bar that we didn't visit. In terms of location, the hotel was within a short drive of wherever we needed to be, and a half hour Uber ride to the airport. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who needs accommodations in Asheville. read more
