After traveling all day, being able to simply use the bathroom, let alone shower would have been great! Front desk worker and the "manager" was less than accommodating, after two trips downstairs to talk. Finally, on the way out they had the audacity to say that WE hadn't even asked for another room. Just a refund. (Weird, how would we know they were 'full'? Or that initially they just said to wait a couple of minutes and it would be fixed?) Even IF we hadn't asked, which we did, wouldn't the FIRST thing a hospitality worker in this industry do, would be to offer a different room? **Also pictured are the dirty floors and mattress in our room as we walked in! Our room was spacious and very clean. The shower was hot and loaded with fresh towels and good soaps. My favorate part had to be the bed- it was exceptionally soft with overstuffed comforters and really soft sheets. It was really hard to get out of in the morning. The continental breakfast was great, they had 3 waffle makers so there wasn't a big line to get one. Everyone at this hotel was polite and I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Fargo!! Also, the location is right innthe middle of the city so you can literally just walk out the dof and get good food or so some shopping.

I stayed in this hold for four nights on a recent trip to Fargo, ND. It's a fairly standard…read moremoderately priced hotel that is otherwise not very interesting other than one event that convinced me otherwise. First, the hotel and room were clean. Really all you can ask from a hotel at this level is that it be a clean place that you can inhabit and sleep in. The staff seeming to make the effort to keep the lobby and hallways clean. Same goes for the room. I had a good sized room with two queen beds. The room and beds were clean. Two, they provided an adequate free breakfast and was up to my rather moderate expectations. It was open for several hours in the morning and it had all of the standard food. I recall powered eggs, sausage, an assortment of bread, cereal, mediocre coffee, hard boiled eggs, etc. one night they even put out a spread of hot dogs and potato chips. I'm not sure if this normal, as I only saw it once. Three, The fitness room is small, but adequate. It was essentially spit between two room. It had a few treadmills, all of the free weights you needed and two typical gym machines. I didn't like that they did not have any yoga mats (not even the super cheap foam ones), but the rubberized floor was sufficient for my purposes. Four, they didn't turn over the room once while I stayed there. I felt four nights be sufficient, but it at least they did provide clean towels on request. Five, their key cards and policy regarding key cards are annoying. I was traveling with my wife and mother in law, but they only would provide two total key cards. I asked for an extra key card, but they refused. Also, the key cards kept getting demagnetized. I had to ask at least three times during my short stay to fit this. Six, the location was ok. The hotel was located near the highway, but far from downtown Fargo. While Fargo is small, I felt like I did a lot of driving. Seven, despite an otherwise so-so stay, the customer service and help of staff was outstanding when I had one big problem. When I was packing up to leave, I couldn't find my wedding band. Despite recalling I placed it on the table near my bed and tearing apart the room, I couldn't find it. I looked and looked but couldn't find it. A certain point I need to leave. When I checked out, I informed the staff of the issue. They assured that if housekeeping found it, they would call me. My hopes were not high. A few hours later, I called the front desk (it was nice that you could even reach the found desk) to let them know another spot I may have lost my ring. A few moments after I hung up that call, they called me back and told me they had found it. All I had to do from there is provide a shipping label and they FedExed it to me.

The hot tub was out of service and so was the water slide and the water spouts in the pool area. There was also mold growing around the outside of the pool walls. This was the worst La Quinta we have ever stayed in. The website should have stated that the hot tub was shut down as well as the water slide. Very disappointed.

We never got the typical hotel reminder or even a calendar date reminder on your phone. So we tried to book again two weeks out from our game and the prices were all higher. Booked another hotel and had a great football weekend but then got charged for one night for failing to cancel a reservation we never received. Front desk clerks shared they have had confirmation issues but even the supervisor would not give a refund for charging us for one night for a reservation we didn't receive. We would have stayed there if we were sent a confirmation and then could actually tell you how it is. Make sure you reconfirm a reservation because if you aren't sent one you may still have one. I should have reconfirmed but usually never have to do that and we travel a lot. Good luck!

We went with the room category down, which still has a separate whirlpool that's not in the restroom though it doesn't have a TV & fireplace specifically for said whirlpool. A fair sacrifice for a quiet room. The room was clean and spacious, with woodland creature adornments (moosetrack room). Breakfast was not worth stopping for. One pan of hot items, apples, and sweet stuff - even the blueberries were sweetened. (If you're there for the evening reception, that's definitely worth attending.) There were ample towels & outlets. It came it right at $150 after taxes/fees. We slept well & woke up refreshed, ready for our long drive.

Very stressful experience with a rude employee.
