Element Moving was VERY professional from each step of the complicated move as there were multiple sites to deliver to, packing and unpacking of my home. Lisa came out twice to make sure the inventory/estimate was correct. Kyle was professional in sending the contracts. There were a couple of minor hiccups...which having moved multiple times there always are...but all were rectified. The owner even came to my home on the second day of the loading to insure everything was going well. Eleazar and his 5 man crew were all VERY HARD working. I especially enjoyed Diego. The initial meeting went well with Lisa when she came out to inspect our house and quote us for packing and moving. However, a few things happened after that, and I should have counted them as red flags. We received a call days before our move asking if we would be willing to move our packing date and moving date from Friday and Sat to Sat and Sunday. I told Jasmine I would discuss with my husband and call her back. When I called back, I told her we would agree to do it. However, when I confirmed the date, she said she already had us down for Sat and Sunday, and the offer was Sunday and Monday. I have every email, and there was nothing in our discussion about Sat and Sunday ever being the original moving. She put me on hold, came back and said, "we'll just keep you on Saturday and Sunday" and her tone changed. We hung up. Kelly called me from the office to get my signature on the moving contract. She emailed it, and it didn't have the discount. I emailed her back about the discount, and she apologized for missing and added a discount. However, the amount didn't match what we discussed. I emailed her about how the discount was calculated, and she never emailed me back. She sent another email on 11/15 asking me to sign the contract, so in an interest of time (moving 11/18), I signed without an answer. We moved into our new house. The wood flooring at the house we moved from was scratched. 4 of the crystal knobs on my daughter's dresser were broken off. The guys installed the washing machine incorrectly, and the hallway, part of the kitchen, pantry, and part of the dining room were flooded causing damage to our hardwood floors and baseboard. I emailed the company about what had happened and how disappointed we were. On 11/20, I contacted Kelly, and she sent me information to file a claim. They sent an hourly employee out a week later to take pictures of the back of the washing machine and the floors. I pointed out the baseboards and the damage, and I didn't see the guys take 1 picture of the areas I pointed out. I have yet to hear back from them. Kelly and Kyle have pictures of the damage along with the water readings from the flooring company, yet they haven't responded to anything from me since 11/27. I even asked them both to let me know when management could come review the damage. On 11/21, Jasmine called me in regards to the email I sent regarding the damage, etc. Their movers told them they hooked up the washer and tested it in front of us. They didn't do that. They did pull me aside about the dryer being shorted out and they didn't want to hook that up. We had an electrician out the next day to fix and test the dryer. She didn't address the dresser, the incorrect discount, or the hardwood floor scratch at the other house. I received a claim update yesterday, 12/7, from their claims company for $24 for the knobs. The email stated that the carrier's insurance company would be handling the flooring damage. I emailed Kyle and Kelly, and once again, no response. They may be fine to work with when all goes well, but when there are issues or questions, they go MIA. Beware and trust the red flags. I have email chain evidence supporting everything I have put in this review. Proof of emails attached. There was NEVER anything between Kyle and me supporting a Sat/Sun ORIGINAL agreed moving date. Today is 1/12/18 - While the owner has taken the time to respond to this review and have my feedback removed from a FB Group page by giving inaccurate information to the page admin, she has yet to even reach out to me. She posts that her cargo insurance is handling, but I dont have any information about that, and I still haven't received a respsone to my email requesting it. I really just want to get this taken care of and be able to move on and have my hardwood floors/baseboards in my brand new house replaced. read more

These movers went above and beyond while moving my sister from Dallas to Austin. When they came to pack her up, the company initially sent two men -- not enough to get her all packed and on the road by mid-afternoon as promised. After a quick assessment, though, one of the movers called in reinforcements and had a total of six men there less than twenty minutes later! They packed very efficiently, and took good care of her belongings. When we arrived in Austin, the unpacking was similarly careful yet quick. The movers themselves were very friendly, and their customer service was top-notch! It meant a lot to us that they were willing to work so quickly to make things right when there appeared to be a problem. Highly recommend! read more

We moved in June. It is now the end of November and we are still dealing with Element's poor service. They damaged 3 heirloom antiques after promises of extra care and claims of expertise on their website. Fortunately we bought the extra insurance. WRONG! It is nearly six months and we have not been paid out as their substandard choice of carrier, TGI went out of business. This is after exhaustive emails with them, submission of invoices and numerous turnovers at both Element and the carrier. We are exhausted and out thousands for repairs we have had to pay out of pocket. What has Element done? You might expect a partial refund as a good faith concession but NOPE! They have had several people turnover in their customer service department and each as unhelpful as the last. Ultimately claiming this is down to the claim. They damaged my furniture, they chose a poor carrier, and we are dealing with this six months later while trying to settle into our new home. The lack of empathy, satisfaction and assistance cannot be overstated. RUN! read more

This is the first time writing a review, ever but I feel it's necessary. While unpacking we discovered that a very nice quality watch was missing. It belonged to our daughter. It was her 20th birthday gift. The box was still there but no watch. She never told me she left it in her bed room. If I knew I would had put it with our other personal things that I carried with me for the move. When I complain, I was told that the carrier is not liable for jewelry or personal belonging. I recently sought out a moving company in the Dallas, TX area to move my 2000 sq ft house to NM. I received quotes from 8 companies. There was a considerable price range in the quotes. Element was the least expensive; however, there were a couple other companies that were very close. I chose Element because of Lisa, Kyle, and the straightforward quote that was provided. Lisa is the person that came out to look at everything that needed to be packed up, and any special services I required. Kyle is the person that I dealt with regarding the actual move itself, along with payment, etc. They were both very helpful and professional. On moving day and unloading day, the 2 movers were very punctual, and worked very hard to make the move as painless as possible. We used this company to pack up our house and get all the items into the truck. While the guys packing did a great job there were issues that people need to be aware of. 1) watch the non lead guys as they really don't care about your wood floors. I caught one of the guys literally spinning the dolly that held my dryer to wrap it in plastic on my wood floors!! He stopped when I asked but he should have known better 2) the main reason we used this company was the promise that any furniture left over would be taken and donated to charity. When that time came, the owner suddenly had no room for what she claimed was a stained couch. There were no stains but even if there were, the promise was everyone. Not just what you feel like you can ultimately sell. It was definitely a fraudulent come on to get the business! What is someone who is moving the next day supposed to do with furniture the company refused to donate? We will never recommend this company to anyone read more

Apparently, 5 stars is "as good as it gets" on Yelp, and Element Moving and Storage was even BETTER than that. My movers -- Luis and Armando -- were friendly, personable, positive and smart. I've never seen two guys work harder than they did while smiling every step of the way. When they ran into a hurdle (not by their doing), they strategized and problem solved and found a solution. I moved from Dallas to Houston in one day, and it would have been absolute torture had it not been for this amazing company and Luis and Armando. I hope anyone considering a move in this area hires Element -- you won't be sorry. P.S. I shopped around for moving quotes and Element was smack dab in the middle of pricing. They sent Lisa out to inventory my items and provide a quote and she was AWESOME. A HUGE thank you has to be said to Element Moving. My grandma called me about a month ago, asking if I knew any movers that could help her immediately, as her house was completely flooded by a busted water line. I had heard of Element Moving through a friend and told her to try them. They were able to schedule a move quickly. The staff treated her so well from start to finish. They took care of her furniture and items. They helped safely store their items in their warehouse vaults until her house was ready to have her items moved back in. I am not a person to do reviews, but my grandma means EVERYTHING to me and Element was so wonderful to her. I hired this company to move me from an apartment to a house. It ended up being a very expensive move as they claimed it was because of the location of my apartment. When I go to do the laundry, the laundry room flooded. I had gotten an email from Joey asking me to rate them and if it wasn't going to be a good review to email. I emailed him but got a response from a Patty (not from Joey). She did arrange for someone to come out to look at the problem. Apparently the drain hose to the washer was not connected properly. I asked Patty for some type of compensation since I had spent the evening cleaning up the water that flooded my laundry room. I never heard back but received a mailed $10 Starbucks card and a note explaining that the contract states they do not disconnect and reconnect appliances. Well, i did not get a contract nor did Joey mention that when we were going over the the items needed to be moved. Furthermore, the movers failed to mention this too--UNITL it became a problem. Kyle from Elements responded quickly, and took time to listen to our needs (we needed two different moving times. Immediately and a few weeks later once the house we are in sells. Within a day or two, Jared, Kyle's associate came to the house, and did a thorough inventory and estimate. My experience with this company left me disappointed and frustrated; and I feel misled and overcharged. I paid Element in excess of $31K for a full pack and move from TX to VA. As part of the total move, the belongings in my mother's room were moved from my house in TX to my sister's house in CA; and everything else went from my home in TX to my new home in VA. We have a lot of furniture and belongings. I was told by the estimator, Lisa, that we likely would need a 6-man crew and an 18-wheeler. She told me that a confirmed delivery date would cost extra. It was 110 degrees on the day she came to estimate. She looked through the windows but did not go outside, and she did not go into either attic that I showed her, although not much was stored in either attic anyway. I received the estimate and it came in at $31K, which was higher than I expected but Lisa sold me on the fact that it was a small company that trained employees well. The estimate included a $1K "fuel surcharge." I spent an hour on the phone with Kyle the next day, who confirmed a delivery date of August 23rd and that I would need an 18-wheeler and 6-man crew. He looked up my address to confirm an 18-wheeler could get down the street to my new house. The next day Rick called and went over the details with me for another hour, confirming the delivery date of August 23rd, a six-man crew and an 18-wheeler. He asked for a deposit, which I have him. The same day, Lisa called me back and said she needed an extra $3k to confirm my delivery date and reminded me that a confirmed delivery date was extra. I told her I had already confirmed the details with Rick and Kyle and paid the deposit; and that it a was fair for me to assume this extra charge had been baked into the $31K. I said I would have to think about it and would call her after I spoke with my husband, at which point she said she would just waive the fee. More problems started the day of my mom's move when, after everything was packed and loaded, I was told that the cost to move my mom's belongings would be $4600, not $3900 as estimated. I would not accept that one room could be off by $700 but it was a Saturday so I paid. I called Lisa later that day and told her I was concerned that once my household was packed and loaded, they would try to do the same thing again. She assured me this wouldn't happened and waived the $700. After my whole house was packed and loaded on August 17th, Lisa told me she would need an extra -- wait for it -- $3k from me. I handed the issue over to my husband, who read the contract and pointed out to Lisa that the contract only permitted a maximum overage of $1800. We eventually agree to pay an extra $1k but I wasn't happy about it. Shortly before my delivery, Lisa called and said it would better if my belongings were moved by just two trucks, not an 18-wheelr and that this was better than the 18-wheeler because my belongings could just stay on the trucks to which they originally were loaded in TX and things were less likely to get broken. She said a few non-essential items like patio furniture would be delivered at a later point by an 18-wheeler but the majority would arrive on August 23rd. We should have known something was wrong. On the day of the move, 2 trucks arrived with 6 guys just after 10 am but the guys didn't get started until about 11am. At noon, 3 of the 6 guys, including the head guy, left in one of the trucks and didn't come back until the evening. The unloading and reassembling went at a snails pace during this time. When the others finally returned, I confronted the head guy. He said a large portion of my belongings had been shipped to a port a long way from where I live and they had to go out to the port and load it and bring it back to my house. Huh? I was obviously misled so they could save money by not using an 18-wheeler and shipping my stuff to a port without my permission. They were still unloading well into the night. It was pitch black and by the end they were just putting stuff in my garage to get everything off the trucks. It was stressful, both beds were put together wrong, and a lot of my furniture was damaged. Some of the damage appears to be water damage: the cross-hatch pattern of the moving blankets was transferred to my dining table in dark blue ink; and dark blue ink from moving blankets permanently stained my white office furniture. There was other damage, too, but the worst of it was the stress and frustration of dealing with these guys. read more

I scheduled with Austin 2 weeks ago I told him I had a hysterectomy a few days ago. He gave me quotes which were reasonable for me. Josh called me to confirm the day before. Ish got tricky the day of the move...yesterday. Movers scheduled between 10-12. At 11, I started getting worried no one would show. My gut through this whole move was to continue follow up. I spoke with 2 different women in the office. The first one confirmed indeed my block would not be met and rescheduled to 2-4. At 3pm I followed up again. I was truly on the "struggle bus." She said they had to reassign a new crew. I was happy to get moved, but customer service is everything and in this moment I was just a number in the DFW. We were supposed to be moved in a timely manner. But due to arriving at 345pm and driving through rush hour. We finished at 715pm. Original schedule 10am-12. Nefatali and Roger killed the moving game. The both had great energy and completely genuine to my situation. Since I can't lift post hysterectomy. They gave me hope...but as someone in customer service....terrible job from the office itself on delivery. This was my 3rd move in DFW and second moving company. Should I ever move again, I will not call on Element. read more

First, let me start by saying this is the first time I have ever felt the need to write a review but my dissatisfaction with this company compelled me to express my opinion. We used Element for our move from Arlington, Texas to Colorado Springs, Colorado and I will say the initial contact, pack and load was fine but then nothing but problems ensued. It required multiple phone calls to Jazimine and Louis to coordinate our storage and eventual delivery of household goods. The delivery of our household goods was a nightmare! The crew assigned was either selected off of Craigs List or picked up enroute in Phoenix. They were only two individuals for an entire truckload of household goods (equivalent to a 2200+ square foot house) with little of no knowledge of what the job entailed. There were multiple complaints about getting the goods to the second level! In fact, they looked for a construction worker in the area to help them get the heavier equipment upstairs. Obviously, there was little or no communication to between Element and the requirements of the job. The most frustrating part of the delivery process was their claim that they could not fit the long truck into the complex which resulted in us paying several hundred dollars more for a long haul!! Since that time, we have witnessed several long moving trucks of the same size delivering goods right to the doorstep. We contacted Element for a full or partial credit but did not even receive a response. All said and done it was a very negative experience and we will not use them again! As a point of reference, I should mention we have had many cross country moves so this review is based upon much experience. read more

I didnt even want to give them 1 star because they put me through so much stress during the moving process. The quote process was great with Lisa and the I put the deposit up to hold the price. Once the packing team and loaders showed up it was fine but after they loaded my stuff and took my stuff away is when the stress began. I moved from TX to AZ and had my move scheduled to be delivered by the 10th of August. I get a message from someone named Lee that said if I didnt accept my stuff by the 6 or 7th he didnt know when they could deliver. I had scheduled my stuff to be delivered on the 10th because that is when i would have the other half of the cost to move. I jumped through hoops and borrowed the money from a friend (which i didn't want to do) and called Jasmine the next day to let her know i had the money and asked when would they be here with my stuff. Couldn't get here to call me back so i called the next day. Got the run around that she didnt know when they were going to load the truck. This went on until the 7th and then i was told they would be loading Sunday or Monday and that they would call. Never got a call. I had to call her again. So now it is the 8th and i still have no clue when my stuff will be delivered. By the 9th I was told my stuff would be here by Sunday or Monday. Then I get a call from the driver stating he would be here Saturday the 11th. Which is a day after my originally scheduled delivery date. I would not use this company AT ALL. They dont know how to treat paying customers and they dont care that you are unhappy. Spoke with the owner Ms Nesher and she doesnt return calls either so why would she require her employees to. AGAIN IF YOU ARE MOVING I WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR THINGS OR YOUR STRESS LEVEL! I didnt even touch base on the things that got broken. I usually do not write reviews, but I had to because of the experience with Element Moving and Storage. Joanne Blackwell is a great asset to this company and she is on top of her game. She is quick to respond, answer any questions and great with follow up on every step of the way. Lee showed up to get us a free estimate for a complex Art piece removal and promised me to send the fair quote which he did (Unlike some other "Art Moving Company" that wanted almost $700 just for a visit to give us an quote , and when I asked for a flat quote, got an quote that was expensive and lecturing me on how it works by the owner of that OTHER Art Company). Irving and his crews who came to take down the Art Work were meticulous, took care of the fragile Art Piece like taking care of their own a Fine China. I can not say enough about their fair pricing, their professionalism and the quality of the work done by ELEMENT Moving and Storage. This was the worse move across country that I've ever experienced. They packed pictures for me and they arrived broken and ruined. They soft-crated antiques and then lost all the hardware to put them together. I asked several times about insurance and received the same response... it was my decision, but they prided themselves on having very few claims. We have moved a number of times across the country and several times internationally and this was the worst experience we've had. The move out and packing was fine. Our stuff was stored by Element for a few months because our new place was not ready. When things came out of storage some were covered by mildew and a number of pieces of furniture were damaged. The mover hid damage to my desk after they pulled the cross support from the foot out by dragging it across the floor instead of lifting it. I flagged all of this to Element. Element never sent anyone out ot inspect the damage. Instead they sent me a link to their insurance company, based in Florida. They never sent anyone ot review the damage either and simply denied or severely low-balled most things. They had some very ludicrous reasons for a lot of it. The total amount, had they simply paid on the insurance we paid for, was relatively small, but what the insurance offered would barely buy a bottle of decent wine. At no point did we ever hear from Element after they had our money. I will never use or recommend them again. read more

THE WOOORRRSSSTTT. Negative 5 stars wouldn't even do it justice. No follow through, lots of lip service from the sales people but then they wont ever return your call once the move occurs, no company trucks (all rented as are the movers), no accountability, no professionalism, countless irreparable damage to valuable antique furniture (major chunks of wood taken out of priceless 4 pieces 200+ years old), huge foot prints from dirty boots on antique coffee table, foot prints all over the feather bed, and the list literally goes on and on and on and on. They took so long and we had everything, packed, labeled, organized and they still took boxes to storage meant for house and give versa. The foreman was carrying a butterfly knife and was scary. I had to fight long and hard to even have this company reveal the location of MY furniture they were storing and learned they were charging $200 more than the rate at the storage facility (but I was told I would get the same cost they paid). The lies didnt stop. I have moved many times and my furniture has never undergone the severe catastrophic damage, all from poor handling. The sales person promised IP and down as did the estimator they are "very experienced" in handling antiques, DON'T Believe it. They were incapable of handling even basic pieces but antiques?....they couldnt even take straight forward pieces apart and put them back together or even put them into the truck safely...the damage caused was from total negligence, really reckless handling. Also, they broke the washing machine, and also the pipe into which it connected on install causing leakage, HVAC condenser pipe back up and damage to our new house and system. Because of the gross negligence, terrible service, no accountability and worthless insurance, there is no recourse and tens of thousands lost. If you care about your items, RUN. we went through weeks of hell. I never knew service this bad existed. read more

I rarely write reviews but had to write this one. My move was complicated in that we were moving part of the furniture in our two story home downstairs for an estate sale, part of the furniture and boxes to a rent house, and leaving some of the furniture in other rooms for staging to sell the house, so the guys could not just pick everything up and put it in the truck. They were so thoughtful and careful that I decided to let them move some of my most precious, rickety antiques. They moved out furniture around a piano which was staying while giving great care to the protect the furniture they were moving and the piano. They took the time to prep all the furniture to prevent damage and strategized how to pack the truck with all the different pieces before packing anything. As the day continued and I was getting tired (even though I wasn't lifting anything), I was amazed at how positive their attitude remained and wished I knew their secrets to running a company that produced that kind of comradery combined with such hard work. I am not related to anyone in the company and paid full price for the services. They did not know I would write a review, and frankly, I had difficulty believing previous positive reviews, but will definitely be using them when we move from our rent house to the house we are building. read more
