Once she learned I'm Chinese and could speak Chinese, we spoke in Chinese throughout the time that I was there. I got the impression that she let her guard down with me, because we're of the same ethnic community, so I'll also predicate that my experience may not be a standard to hold them to. What's hot - Quality. Pretty good. My masseuse (didn't get a name) asked me which parts of my body are uncomfortable. She definitely found the knots and released the tension. She also massaged my scalp, which was soothing and helpful. However, it did make my hair oily, because her hands were covered in massage oil. Pressure was excellent. I tend to like stronger than average pressure, too. Because she was applying strong pressure, she asked me if it was too strong for me, to which I responded, no. She responded with a laugh and started humming. Her massage style is what I've experienced when I've been overseas in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, which is less formal and might feel a bit abrupt for those who aren't familiar with different massage styles. However, I enjoyed the pressure. - Cost. $70 for an hour massage, which is pretty good value for money, especially given the quality of the massage. - Hygiene and layout. This place is clean and well-kept. There are individual rooms for more formal massages and larger chairs next to each other for feet acupressure sessions. - Location. Easy to find and there are a decent number of parking spaces. - Payment. They take cash and credit card. What's not - Payment. They charge a $3 fee for credit cards. They also charge me upfront before my session began. - Tip. Even though they charged me upfront, she asked me for a tip before I left. I felt awkward, because I had already signed the credit card slip. I took out what little cash I had with me, to which she laughed, handed the cash back to me, and told me to just add it to the credit card slip. As such, I tipped her more than the cash I originally gave to her, but she still laughed at me for how much I tipped her. My best guess is that she expected more. - Customer service. There is no website, which means you can't go online to book appointments. You can only call for availability or walk-in. They're not good at answering calls. I called a few times at different times on different dates and no one answered. The one time someone answered, I asked if they have availability in the afternoon. She asked me what time. When I responded with my desired time, she said ok and that she'll see me later. It doesn't appear they take appointments, but I can't be certain. Towards the end of my massage, her phone rang and she answered the call. She kept repeating the same answer to the customer and was abrupt, trying to end the call. I wasn't surprised by her abruptness, but it might be awkward for others, so just be prepared. Final Answer Would be willing to return, but probably not a first choice.

BEYOND disappointed with this salon and how I was treated…read more This hair appointment was actually a Mother's Day gift from my husband, which makes this experience even more upsetting. When I called to schedule my appointment, I specifically asked if it was okay to bring my two daughters with me. The employee on the phone told me that it would be fine. The morning of my appointment, I received a reminder text stating that children were not allowed in the salon. I immediately called and spoke with the manager, who told me that if someone had already approved it, then it was okay. I was able to find childcare for my oldest daughter, but I had to bring my baby with me. (My baby is exclusively breastfed so I can't leave her with someone). My baby sat quietly in her stroller for the first half of the appointment and in my lap for the second half. She was extremely well-behaved and did not cry the entire time. When I got home and looked at my hair in better lighting, I noticed multiple dark spots and uneven areas in my roots. I contacted the salon to have the issue corrected, and after scheduling a correction appointment, I received a text saying that Adrienne would not feel comfortable fixing my hair if I brought my children with me. So, they expected me to pay for childcare again in order to come back and have THEIR error corrected. I called the manager and explained that I should not have to arrange and pay for childcare because my hair was done incorrectly. Instead of taking accountability, she actually suggested that my baby was the reason my hair was messed up, which I find completely unacceptable and unprofessional. The conversation ended with the manager telling me they would only fix my hair once I found childcare, and then she hung up on me. Not only was my hair poorly done, but the way this situation was handled afterward was even worse. Rather than offering proper customer service or making things right, I was blamed and inconvenienced for a mistake I did not make. I will now have to spend additional time and money going to another salon to fix my hair. Very disappointing experience overall. As a military spouse, it is not easy finding childcare and this salon made me feel like my baby was such an inconvenience for them. EDIT: The last photo was taken by another hair stylist that I just saw to fix my hair. This was Bella Vita's "finished product" that I paid $220 for. I can't believe how much hair she missed and she charged me for a full color when she barely did half my hair. Don't waste your time and money going to Bella Vita!
