The employee hairstylist woman Laura (blonde hair with bangs) older woman. I walked in with very long long hair down to my bottom, straight down even length, no layers. I asked for easy cut, I wanted bangs, and my ends trimmed barely anything cut off, I love my long hair, I hadn't cut my hair all year long. Now she proceeds to cut my bangs, she cut my bangs completely wrong, (talks , talks, talks,) this woman gave me short stands of hair throughout my head. Since the hair cut for the holidays I've been blow drying my hair curling it etc, and I've noticed short patches of hair in places where it shouldn't have been cut that short... why? Weird. This woman should not be cutting hair. Either 1. She can't cut long hair, or bangs to frame your face. Or 2. She did this on purpose, simply hating and plotting, she cut different lengths around my head to keep it, or sale my hair. Make it make sense? This place is for older women (50-90). It's their bread and butter. Short hair having women. Because if you have long beautiful healthy hair and you want a quality cut by an experienced professional stylist this is NOT the place for you. John Michael was my daughter's stylist and he was fantastic! She has extremely thick and long hair and wanted to go short. This was the first time we went to Elements and we will definitely be back again and again for my hair and my other 2 daughters. John was very professional and very sweet to my girl. We showed him a picture of what she wanted and he really framed the haircut and style to suit her face beautifully. Thank you again for the awesome cut and service. Elements used to be classy with high end stylists. After so many turnovers and giving them several tries since after 2021, they have gone downhill. They have turned into a Fantastic Sam's with high end prices. John, the owner, is rarely even there and if he is there and helps do cuts he only does trims and doesn't listen to the women clients when various of them have asked him for layers and volume. Trista, who just did my sister's haircut tonight, butchered her hair as it's uneven, cut super short in one side and long on the other side, sides are uneven with thin at top and long on bottom in back. My sister had to tell her several times she wanted everything to blend in but my sis comes out of the salon looking like she stepped out of a $5 barbershop or the old school Fantastic Sam's hair salon. Trista has also done hair removal services for my daughter and it was done so sloppy and incomplete that she had to get it finished and corrected from another place. Our family will never ever return here. We all know why all the good hairstylists have left. I won't be surprised if it goes bankrupt soon. Place is empty now. read more

Wow... my hair has never looked so terrible. I am in shock. And right before a wedding and thanksgiving. So bad that when I got to the car I started to cry. Never has something like this ever happened to me before. Even when I've had to resort to a cheap great clips cut. I decided to give this place a shot since I am now too far from my old place. I scheduled a hair cut and told them how I styled my hair and how they use to cut it. The guy just started using the clippers and before I know it I had been trimmed to a level never seen before. No scissors used whatsoever. No blending and fade to the top. The top wasn't even cut and I said I wanted to leave. I was in a state of shock. They had the audacity to charge me the full $35. Now I have to find someone to fix my hair on top so it doesn't look as terrible. Horrible horrible horrible. Time to look terrible in all the photos coming up. read more

I absolutely love Stephano... he is such a kind and genuine person plus he works wonders . I was referred to him by one of my friends and decided to give him a shot and I'm so glad I did he is the best. I've been wanting my hair lightened and guess what Stephano did it and it looks so amazing and healthy . He is very honest and did I mention his laugh is contagious he just a all around awesome person . While sitting in his station I felt so welcome he even offered me wine, water or a soda and made sure I was 100 percent comfortable ... I'm so glad I made my way to elements all the way from West Covina CA witch is about a hour drive but well worth it . I love my hair and I've got a lot of compliments on it thank you so much for Making me feel pretty again ... Go to mirror mirror or dikici hair salon for some actual hair stylists lmaooo do not go here. Not only was my Virgin hair ruined but it was nothing like I asked for. Natural Ashy balayage became 3 colors. a butchered warm balayage with red roots, and now that my natural hair is growing out it's brown, red, and nasty warm blonde. When I saw all the positive reviews for this salon I thought I'd give them a shot. Unfortunately Arlene gave me a complete butcher job then proceeded to blame my hair that one side is thicker which "makes it harder" according to her. I asked if the style I came in asking for was something she could achieve, her as well as the owner reassured me that she could. I took their word for it. She offered to fix it when I sent her pics of it not curled, but at this point I can't trust her to get it correct. The "layers" Are so choppy and thick they do not blend at all. "Layers" on one side are longer than the other side the total length is longer on one side than the other. I am in such disbelief how bad it is. I am so sad. Just be aware just because someone has been a stylist "for a long time" does NOT mean they have good technique. I recently moved here about a year and a half ago I know for hair stylist it is rough with the times so I believe my patience was there I went to trish the firstime and it was great but the second time around the pandemic hit she started taking clients for haircuts in between I didn't mind but she left my hair brassy I believe she was too distracted yet it didn't look horrible but thentbe third time I asked her for some highlights and to eventually prep my hair for transition into blond for next summer she continously takes clients in between again I said nothing this time I felt neglected and I knew by the way she was rushing something was going to go wrong needless to say it went horrible this in no way reflects the other artist there but as for me I wont be going back to her when I let her know how I felt she said it looked great you judge based on my photo I went to another studio for corrections. read more

So I was looking for someone to cut my hair last minute and so I called and they were available to walk ins. I didn't know anyone working here but they scheduled me with Mayra. Which let me tell you, she's absolutely fantastic! When I walked in the friendly receptionist offered me water and she along with everyone were super welcoming and kind! The atmosphere is superb and the playlist was awesome. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left everyone was kind. I rarely leave reviews. I don't want this to be a rude one either. It's more of constructive criticism. My hairstylist was sweet but she decided at some point to change the hairstyle I wanted without asking if I wanted a different style. She didn't stop and say "hey your hair is too curly or too frizzy for that style, would you like me to straighten it and just curl the bottoms or not continue with this appointment?" That would've saved me time and money. Instead I got a straight hairstyle and charged $65 for a style I do literally everyday. I straightened my hair everyday. But yesterday morning the day of my brother's wedding- I had my hair straightened for $65. I asked why so much if I didn't get my hair washed so she brought it down to $45 and I shouldn't have paid because it wasn't the style I wanted nor did I have a choice to get it. But I paid it because I didn't want to be rude. But I cried all day. I had to get another friend to curl my hair at least. I looked horrible at my brothers wedding. So again. Not trying to be hurtful. But stylists communicate with your client if they are not getting what they ask for. Don't just assume they'll be okay with your pick. And if you can't do the style, save your client time and money and just say you can't. I left feeling so sad I couldn't stand up for myself at all. (Look at pictures of what I wanted and what I got) So moral of my story: Just be honest with your client if you don't have time or you can't do the style they want. read more

I am giving Elements Hair Salon 5 stars not for the salon itself but for the wonderful stylist and amazing colorist Lourdes. It is so hard to find a person that can give me the platinum blond highlights I desire. I needed a new colorist and I saw a picture of Lourdes' work on here, it was exactly what I was looking for and she certainly delivered and then some. She took her time and let me know exactly what she was doing, along with the products she was using every step of the way. She instantly had my trust with my hair that I don't do lightly. My hair turned out fantastic and I am so happy. I will definitely going back to Lourdes as long as she has me. As for the salon itself, it would have been nice to been welcomed to salon other then by Lourdes. High school girl working at the front dress needs to be taught how to be more professional and take care of clients, such as asking if they want water, how to speak on the phone and dress professionally would be nice. Also the owner never introduced himself to me and he walked by me over six times. I finally had to introduce myself to him so I could give me compliments to him about what an amazing job Lourdes did. I will be coming to this salon as long as Lourdes is there, but if Elements salon is trying to be a high end salon, in the High Desert, they need to do more to make sure all their clients feel welcomed. read more

She honest, professional, super cue and friendly and she has a great eye for making you look amazing! I drive 60 miles to come see her since i moved to LA. I trust her with my hair to do anything. Most of the time I'll come in with an idea or a specific picture and she'll either tell me if it will look good or not, make it look good, or her suggestion will make me look like a superstar. Came here recently and my experience was this: Nice and curtious barber, the shop looks good feels clean. But once he started cutting my hair cut more then I wanted to. I asked for a touch up on the bottom but still not what I was looking for. I ended up leaving it as is before it got worse. Felt like he just wanted a quick buck and was in a rush. Came back home to shower and to my surprise a lot of random long hairs around my ears. If you have to come home to finish cutting your hair something is wrong. At $35 very disappointed with work. My friend went to Elements and got a weave and a balayage done by Reyna. The next day her hair was fried and I mean fried. Went back to Elements and John owner stood by Reynas work said my friend could come in for conditioner which she did. I had a terrible experience here. You would think for a $25 hair cut you would leave amazed, or at least content. I requested a low skin fade, but was told its not possible, ok no biggie so I got a simple low fade, the stylist was very friendly and the place was clean and nicely decorated. When I got back to my place and got a good look at my hair, it had a lumpy profile, long patches, and "trees" (long single hairs) onthe sides. I can style it to hide the flaws for the most part, but I shouldn't have to. I definitely would not recommend if you are a male with short asian hair or if your hair needs attention to detail. read more

I went to is salon for the first time on 3/6. My stylist moved to this location from another, which is why I went to Elements. This salon lacks professionalism and class. It was at first difficult to decipher who the employees were and who the clients were. With the exception of two female stylist, the employees were dressed horribly, too much makeup, a lot of tattoos and facial piercings. I Was there 3 hours and I watched as stylist did each other's hair. I counted 4 stylist that got their hair done. This is tacky. Most salons require employees to report to work fully styled. The kicker is when one employee brought 3 small children in who continued to wonder around. An infant was passed around to a couple employees. This was unprofessional. There was not a coat rack or a place to set my handbag. I held it or sat it in the floor. The owner never acknowledged me as I stood in front of him wanting to pay my bill. Rude and unprofessional. Yes I will return, only because my stylist is there. Hopefully she will move again. I do not recommend. read more

Okay, so I am VERY picky and I have a hard time finding a place who works within my means. First, I have a TON of cowlicks; second, I'm military and have to ensure that my hair is within regs; third, as if the first two isn't a big enough challenge, I have a unique flair and finding a "rock-a-billy-turn-conservative-for-military-requirements" is a tough ordeal. So, with that said, let me explain WHY this definitely THE place to go. John-Michael is the only person in all of Southern California that I will let TOUCH MY HAIR...he is a military veteran and he gets the requirements I am faced with, YET his own sense of personal flair and style provide a UNIQUE position to meet my complicated needs. In fact, he's opened his schedule and stayed late just to meet my needs. It's not just John-Michael that has talent here, Jenny is remarkable also! She has corrected my previous salon's waxing job and works quickly while doing an amazing job. She fits me in whenever she can and works closely with scheduling to ensure she remains available when I go into the shop for a cut. Raylene (sp?), from what I have heard does an amazing job on color...she was supposed to do my highlights/color recently however I had an emergency at home and had to cancel at the last minute; she was incredibly understanding which means I will definitely be rescheduling with her soon. Additionally, desk/scheduling staff are always accommodating and do a phenomenal job of meeting my unique scheduling needs. These people literally jump through hoops to help me!!! I love this place. I have gone all over the world and have been hard pressed to find a better salon. As if what I have said is not enough, I LOVE their salon products...every other time I go here, I am always sorting through their new products for goodies! I can't say enough about this place! Don't listen to the negative reviews where people provide vague statements...my guess is that they are from competitors or didn't give this salon a fair chance. No place is perfect, but let me tell you, this place comes close. One thing I would recommend, if there is something that does not satisfy you at this place, just let John-Michael know, he has always corrected or attempted to fix things immediately. I am so happy I found this place!! I walked into this salon wanting a new style, I had very long hair and wanted a shortish A-line. First off it's very clean, and I love the vibe and decor! I was greeted by Madison, she is super nice! She seated me with John Michael who happens to be the owner. I told him what I was looking for and a little back ground of my previous hair styles before I grew it out. He immediately was on the same page as me and got to work!
