I don't know where to begin, this is lengthy but it's worth it.. I stumbled across this salon in yelp after searching for a salon that specializes in blonde hair with before and after pics. Yes any hair dresser can throw bleach on, but not all care about the integrity of your hair, and are honest with you on the results and it doesn't come out yellow or orange. I looked at the photos and loved what I saw. The ladies hair was blonde AND healthy! This was perfect! I booked my appt which was really easy, I inquired and received a phone call right away from Alonso. I gave him all my information, my inspo pic and what my hair was at now. Alonso was warm, welcoming and I could tell he enjoyed what he does and was excited. I came in to my appointment and from the minute I walked in the hospitality was unlike any other. I was offered food, drinks, consistently asked if I was okay and comfortable which really matters. I had been going to another salon for two years, which I won't mention the name and for two years, I was not ever able to get exactly what I was looking for and was told it wasn't possible or we will "work towards that", let's be honest hair coloring isn't cheap and who wants to pay hundreds of dollars for something they aren't satisfied with?! Not me. In one visit Alonso was able to give me exactly what I was looking for and was extremely honest with me and gave me multiple options and prices upfront, which was extremely important. I have gone to other salons where you get your hair done. It is somewhat like you had hoped and the prices are astronomical and you have no choice, but to pay it because the work is already done. I was extremely impressed with his honesty as well as the options provided, depending on what my budget was. We both chose an option that suited my situation and he showed me just some of what he can do and I am so excited for next visit and what else he can achieve with my hair. I love it already and can only imagine when it's all completed! The salon is adjacent & combined with a flower shop, which who doesn't want to smell and look at beautiful flowers while getting their hair done. First off everyone there was extremely friendly and welcoming. It only took me one visit for me to make the choice of this to be my new go to salon. My blonde hair was pulling a lot of golden color, which I absolutely hated and Alonso was very honest with me on the results that would be provided without over promising me and just telling me what I wanted to hear which I was very thankful for. I wanted to go from golden blonde with multiple dimensions of golden to a pure more icy blonde. It's not easy finding the exact results you want with blonde without frying your hair and omg I absolutely love my hair and have already booked my next follow up appointment. I am a girl who uses getting my hair done as my treat for myself as I don't do my nails or anything else so getting my hair done is a really big deal for me. I am so happy to have found Blue Petals and will certainly recommend this place to any one, male, female, blondes and brunettes. Selecting a stylist has always been a scary struggle for me. My (now naturally white) long hair is fine and wavy, but I have a LOT of it. Plus, I'm not one to really fuss with/style my hair unless it's a special occasion. Alonzo is probably the best hair stylist my wife and I have been to. My wife always loves how Alonzo styles her hair and his dye jobs are the best she's ever had done. For myself he's the best hair stylist I've been to. He takes the time to get to know what you're looking for in a style or coloring in detail and the best way to accomplish that. He not only styles hair, but is genuinely interested in making hair look the best it can. With some other stylist cutting hair may just be a 9-5 job for them, but you can tell Alonzo take this craft seriously as a professional and it shows. He is a true master of his craft, with such amazing artistry to make you feel like a new woman when he's done working his magic... the "conjalapeño" effect is real ladies.. I walked into the salon feeling a little tentative and nervous, but I was ready to make a change. I researched for the "BEST HAIR STYLIST" and luckily found Alonzo as a nominee for the Daily Press... and as I dove further into that rabbit hole, I came to find his Instagram pages, (conjalapeno and bluepetals_hairstudio) ... and as that old saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words... One after another and another... I could see his unfiltered talent! The colors, the cuts, the beautiful transformations... each one was absolutely gorgeous!! So fast forward to me sitting in his chair... He's listening to my wants and giving me his honest/informed opinion ...I tell him to go for it, placing my trust and my hair in his hands ... I've been getting my hair done/colored since I was 16 years old ... add 20+ year to that lol... All I can say is that his process was like nothing I've ever experienced. I got such a good haircut; so perfect for my hair. The salon treatment make me feel like a queen. They offer coffee or wine and a massage with your shampoo. I walked in with FRIED hair .. bright orange / yellow hair that looked horrible and really really affected my confidence! I had my correction done here and I almost cried seeing my results because of how beautiful I looked !
