Got my hair done by Brenda the service that was supposed to be was color correction.... She bleached my hair and did toners and color remover and other things I ended up leaving the salon with mutiple bands in my hair BURNS ( I did tell her it was burning asked to wash out the product she kept saying she didn't see irritation and would tell me five more minutes then leave and come back.. then tried to tell the owner aswell as me she offered to stop and that I said to keep going no I didn't I even have ss of me telling my bf the discomfort I was in)that ended up devolvoping in scabs I kept up with the hair stylist telling her these things she just told me to see a medial person if I felt I needed to I understand that they are not medical people and won't know exactly what to do in things like this that was not my issue that she didn't know what to do I paid $500 and tipped $20 which was my mistake I didn't feel or see the scabs or mutiple bands in my hair till the next day i will insert the photos aswell. My scalp felt so uncomfortable that I was genuinely panicking and put tons of oil in my head to try and make it feel better (all of which was communicated with the stylist ) I washed my hair and while I was washing its scabs full SCABS big and small were falling out my hair and when I touched my hair scabs all over my hands came out the shower brushing through my hair scabs all over my comb and my scalp was so uncomfortable I could almost not bare it . When I shared the photos to Brenda about the mutilple bands in my hair and was never rude and even told her I don't means to come off rude or mean btw She said that sometimes happens and could need sessions I kindly told her that's fine BUT I was never informed of any of that and didn't understand how my roots were darker than other parts of my hair and then she basically shut me down and said she's not gonna continue the conversation. I tried calling the owner to try and get help from her but basically was just told that I have to ask the hairstylist Brenda for a refund (she was nice but not much help) So I messaged Brenda in where she declined my request for a refund after the damage she had did to my scalp and hair . Would not recommend I don't know about the other stylist but at least not Brenda . Very unacceptable of a service provider to mess up their own work and not compensate for it she did offer another toned and I declined because why would I trust the hairstylist that already did that much damage to try again. Edited to add the stylist name: Katelyn. I came in with light brown hair and a clear request: cherry brown with red warmth. I went in for a consult where I was told this could be achieved with a toner and even a Demi color. What I got was nearly black hair with no visible red--and zero resemblance to the photo I brought in. When I reached out to express my concern, I wasn't met with empathy or solutions--just technical explanations, deflection, and vague advice to "trust the process." I wasn't even given the full formula used on my own hair. So now when I go in for a color correction I won't even know how to guide another stylist on what was done on my hair to get it this nearly black color. I wasn't asking for a miracle--I was asking to be heard. If you're someone who values communication, collaboration, and creative input, I wouldn't recommend this stylist to others. I love doing my hair, and would have loved to be met with some empathy and accountability and maybe the exact formula used to see if any other stylist can color correct, this. I wanted to add after this review, instead of the stylist trying to resolve the issue, she tried to say my review about my experience was unfair and would affect her livelihood. I asked for a game plan multiple times to correct the issue on the color that I clearly did not ask for and some empathy / accountability in regards to the mistake would have gone a long way. I was told I was blaming her for my already damaged hair, I never complained about my damaged hair and instead was expressing my frustration on how this color is not the color I consulted on or the color I wanted at all or the color she said she could do. I am super saddened by this experience, and mostly because I never speak up and doing so was super hard and to be met with passive aggression, and lack of compassion was uncalled for. In addition, I really was hoping she could explain how we ended up on the dark brown/ black scale, and if she would have addressed that first, I would have been game to fix it. My intention wasn't to ask for my money back or anything of that sort. I intended to see how we could fix it and how we would get to the cherry brown I wanted and should have gotten in the first place. Again I don't recommend, especially as we all know to remove this even when it fades it will most likely need some lightening which is what I was trying to avoid. To not take any accountability for the color mix up is insane to me. This isn't anywhere close to the color I wanted, that during consult she said we could get to easily. For a clear transparent review. These are the messages between the stylist and I. I wasn't told to come in until AFTER I started asking about a solution, not once was there an explanation in why the color, was this dark, and "I'm sorry you feel that way, or if you're that unhappy come back in two weeks" isn't necessarily a game plan to fix things. Thanks again, for your response, what I wanted was understanding, also I had had my hair close in the red family prior to going to Katelynn, there was no reason why I should have ended up with a level 5 or 6 brown with no red undertones. Not once was I rude, and nor do I plan to be. I move with kindness and again, I just wanted a clear cut process, a reason as to why we ended up with such a dark color and tbh a sorry would have gone a long way. I was really hoping to build a relationship with Katelynn as I am looking for my girl or guy to continue to do my hair. I called at the beginning of the week to get an appointment for haircuts for myself and my daughters. They were very accommodating and able to see all 3 of us at the same time. If you're thinking about a hair transformation, Crystal is your go to! I've been thinking of dyeing my hair pink for years now! (this is my natural hair btw, never been dyed) This was my first time ever doing something different like this, so naturally I had tons of questions and was a bit nervous! From the initial consultation, via text, Crystal answered all of my questions, as well as, offered up suggestions on how to achieve the look I was going for. We went over my hair history and the color, style, length I was hoping to achieve. She covered all the basics and was extremely informative and really helped me feel comfortable moving forward with this process. I love how honest and transparent she was throughout this, letting me know what was realistically going to be achievable during our initial session and giving me tips on how to make this beautiful, vibrant color really last. Appointment day: The day of my appt, Crystal confirmed with me one last time, prior to my appt time. I was greeted by Crystal when I arrived and was offered complimentary champagne/mimosas, wine, coffee, and snacks! side note: This place is the perfect spot for a girls day! All the small details make this place the cutest salon I've ever been to! We went over one last time what length we initially wanted to begin with the cut. We decided to keep the length, only doing a trim and adding long layers, since my hair is pretty healthy. In total my hair took about 2 1/2 hours to foil, and the entire process took about 6 hours. It hardly felt like 6 hours with the complimentary mimosas, music, and conversation. We discussed aftercare and went over product recommendations while we waited for my hair to process. Overall my experience was 10/10, couldn't have picked a better hair stylist to trust with my hair transformation! Hair details: Crystal customized this beautiful pink for my hair and I'm absolutely obsessed! We decided to do a balayage moment and added a money piece in the front! I am new to the HD and needed a new Hair Salon and came upon this Salon. NEVER AGAIN will I go to this place. First of all my stylist was late then she walked in looking like she just got off from working at a bar. I asked for a certain color and was there literally all day for my hair to come out horrible. This person bleached my hair and did so much damage to my scalp that it was peeling for 2 weeks. My hair is so damaged now and I regret giving this Salon my money it was a complete waste. I went in today and Julie worked some magic on my hair. I had previously had a balayage on my hair done by another hairstylist and I eventually ended up putting DARK BROWN BOX DYE in my hair. I know it's really bad, but I regretted it right after. Julie had a lot of patience with my hair to lift while also making sure my hair was healthy. My stylist was very sweet and knowledgeable about the products and I truly believe that she was doing her best, and she styled my hair very nicely. However, I will not be returning to this salon again for the reasons below. My stylist had beautiful nails that are about 2 inches long and it sort of poked me in the left eye while she was drying my hair and it was quite scary to me, and my scalp was nicked with the brush and fine-tooth comb about 3 times while she was detangling my hair after shampooing my hair and it was hurting for about 30 minutes. (And my hair was still wet when I walked out of the salon) Also, I've noticed few pieces of hair that were longer and poking out from the rest of the hair when I returned home. And finally, I still don't understand why I was charged 60 dollars (plus a fee for using a credit card) when their Facebook page lists the price as 45 dollars for shampoo, haircut, and styling.
