The front desk gals were very friendly so made a good impression from the get go. Had a deep massage by Alexander. Was fantastic. He suggested hot stone based on my bodily complaints. The hot stone massage was unlike others I've had where they normally place the stones on your body to warm you mainly. He used Himalayan salt rocks as an extension of his hands and really got into my sore muscles. It was a deep massage, exactly like I wanted. I was sore the next day, but expected that as I usually am after deep sports like massages. I know I got my moneys worth and muscles being worked to my expectations. It was a "good sore". Massage felt fantastic! The massage was a 5 star massage and he's really nice. They are offering lymphatic massages, which will be one of the few in StL to offer this service. Many of the therapists were certified including Alexander. I'll def be back for one of those! The facilities could use a bit enhancing with better massage table covers to allow for a more luxury-type experience. I'd give this a 4.5 if I could. read more

I found Elements Massage on Groupon, so I thought I would try it out. I got a normal 90-minute massage with Craig. The inside is very peaceful and the receptionist was kind and helpful. My appointment was at 8:45am, so I came a few minutes early. Online and the front doors say that they don't open until 9:00, but I walked right in with no issues. I scheduled my appointment with Craig, who was absolutely amazing. He consistently checked in throughout the massage without doing so in a way that was disruptive to the massage. I like firm massages and Craig applied just the right amount of pressure. Additionally, he was able to use pressure points to release tension. Overall, an amazing and pleasant experience. I initially had to reschedule, but faced no challenges with their cancellation policy or any confusion in the process. I don't get massages frequently, but I do plan on returning sometime! read more

Deceptive payment method- they charged my credit card an extra fee AFTER I left the place. I only got a receipt for $119- which is for a massage and I had a $10 credit on my account. I found out about the extra charge a few days after on my credit card statement. They refused to reverse the extra charge and Carmel and Rachel have been EXTREMELY RUDE to me. I booked a 2 hour massage with Murphy. The 1st hour of the massage was alright, the experience would have been better if he hadn't been singing to me and telling me every name he calls each move (The windshield wiper, the truck, the train, etc). The 2nd hour was just an entirely different experience! He completely undraped me (Thankfully I had underwear on), as he worked on my glutes was telling me how much "He likes massaging butts" while making weird noises. The atmosphere inside is relaxing. The owner does seem to care about their business. But the masseurs are hit or miss. We went on a Groupon and while I received a decent massage, my wife didn't even really get a massage. She got an hour long stretch session. The masseur didn't check in with her to see if she was comfortable or enjoying it. Side note: She wasn't. To their credit, when we mentioned as much on the Groupon review the owner reached out and gave us a complimentary couples massage to come back and try again. When we did so, we had a better experience but the massages were still good not great. This leaves me in a pickle for my Yelp review. I was going to give this place a 3 star rating but since Yelp calls that "A-Ok" and calls 2 Stars "Meh. I've experienced better." This is a 2. The fact of the matter is, I have had many better massages and though I would consider going back to Elements if the massages were $50/hour there is no way I would return for the $99/hour they ask for on their website. Excellent Massage. I have leg issues which creates back issues and they really help me with that. They are fully Licensed and totally 100% professional. Reasonably priced. My Therapist is Trish and she is the best. Always 100% professional and listens to my needs and seems to know more about me that I know about myself in many ways. I would highly recommend them. I visit them frequently. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. For my entire time there I have only had one issue and they admitted error and corrected it immediately. I went yesterday for my first visit to Elements.i had purchased a Groupon, and I was excited to use it! Especially after the recent snow! Beautiful atmosphere, and Lola , my therapist was said to be the best at deep tissue . At initial discussion prior to the massage, Lola offered hot stone as part of the massage. Folks, this is extra. I was not told this . Thankfully, when presented with a charge at the end, they were very gracious when I said :I was not told that this was an extra charge. It was handled very well and we both learned something. They need to be upfront about pricing, and I now know it is extra. So, hot stones are awesome! And Lola was amazing! read more

I visit family in Chesterfield every year and often try to get a massage while here. I've tried a number of places over the years and have never had much success. The massage therapists usually are very nice but usually talk the whole treatment. And they often are "making nice to my skin" - rubbing oil into the skin but not really doing much for my muscles which is the whole point of a massage. This year I went to Lola at Elements and it was a great experience. She was friendly but didn't talk so much and allowed me to relax. And most importantly she really worked my knots. Well, this isn't what I want to type but I think people should be aware. 3 yrs ago I had a bad experience-therapist was gone most of the massage (maybe got a 20 min massage). I let the manager know and got a free massage to make up for it. It was a great massage but I stopped going due to travel. Fast forward to yesterday. Made my appt for 5pm, drove 40 min to get there. Sitting in waiting area for 15 min b4 I'm told "April isn't coming in today." Uhhh what?! I get things happen but where is the communication? On top of that, I had to drive back in rush hour traffic (which I schedule to avoid). They offered me 30 extra minutes. I want my money back and membership canceled UPDATE...after 3 calls mgr Kelly called me back. I asked for my contract to be cxl and a refund and let's just say I'm not getting it. They said I could get a gift card (why would I want anyone to go there?), part of my money back. She then said I got a discount on my first massage. What I was charged was NOT a discount (bank statement does not lie). I asked to just sever ties and get my full money back. I ended up hanging up on her as she couldn't answer why she didn't call until I did after 3 times, why they didn't call to cxl my appt and no answer. My next step is a call to the owner. read more

Got called from my sons school telling me my son is throwing up has a low grade fever and that I need to come get him. I call up to let the staff at elements know I wouldn't be able to make my 1:15 appointment I was reassured I wouldn't get a cancellation fee being I called and let them know instead of just no showing them so I rescheduled for the next week then around 1:10 I get a message on my phone from my bank informing me they charged me anyway after telling me they wouldn't. I regularly get massages at Elements Massage in Chesterfield 1-2 times per month to help with general stress/anxiety. The facilities are usually quiet and very clean, and the staff are professional and courteous. I typically book appointments with Craig because he does an awesome job. Craig is very responsive to feedback, respects boundaries, and just generally gives a really great massage with a good amount of pressure. The massage was good but I can't go back because I can't allow myself to be treated horribly by the receptionist because she was having a bad day. Also, signed up for the wellness program and they told me it was something completely different than what it was. Elements Massage cancelled my appointments and will not refund my money. I purchased gift certificates on the Elements website for two out of town guests. Elements canceled the appointments but did not refund my money. So I contacted them for a refund. They explained that I would have to get my refund from their gift card vendor (Hownd.com). Then I contacted Hownd. They said the refund request would have to be made to them from Elements. Makes sense, right? Otherwise, someone could buy a gift certificate, go in and get a massage, and then call Hownd to get their money back. The merchant has to verify the service was not received before they will issue a refund. I called and emailed to explain this to Elements. Apparently, they would rather assume I am a liar then to get off their lazy butts and call Hownd to verify this information. All of this, mind you, is after I provided Elements a copy of the transcripts of my conversation with Hownd. I am going to call out the owner by name- Jeff. He is now ignoring my emails and phone calls. What else would you expect from a guy that doesn't even understand how his own gift certificate program functions. Don't think I will ever try and get a massage again. Elements massage in chesterfield mo ruined the experience. I only get the chance to have a massage once or twice a year and I live two hours away was having a short trip for my birthday. They refused to honor my groupon because two weeks ago I had a respiratory virus and my lymph nodes are still swollen. My doctor said I was no longer contagious this past Monday and i have worked in a health lab all week without any comment. The worst part is they already redeemed my groupon before service was denied, so I am having to go through hoops to get a refund. Also no where on their site does it mention they may reject services if you were sick in the past week or so. If I had known this I might have tried to get a refund prior or at least called ahead. read more
