I had to cancel my membership due to an emergency and could no longer attend. Unfortunately, Andrew, the manager, insisted cancellations could only be done in person, not over the phone, which forced me to drive 45 minutes just to sign a cancellation form. A month later, my card was charged again, and when I called, Andrew said it would be the "last charge" and I could come in for a massage, but he refused to refund the money. He never mentioned there would be an additional charge during the cancellation process. This feels like a very sneaky and unfair business practice. Clear communication and transparency matter, especially in customer service. I hope the business reconsiders how they handle situations like this because it's not a good look and won't help in building trust with clients. I would like to address the concerns regarding my cancellation process, as there appears to be a significant discrepancy in the information provided to me. Response to Andrew: When I came in person to complete the cancellation, due to Andrew's insistence that it could only be done in person (please refer to our phone call for confirmation), I was assured that everything was taken care of when I signed the paperwork to cancel my membership, and that I wouldn't have to worry about any further charges. At no point during that visit did you mention that another charge would be processed after the cancellation. Based on our conversation, he led me to believe the matter was resolved. However, a month later, I was charged again, which was never explained to me during the cancellation process. I was also never informed that I would need to complete another massage. Why didn't you ask me to schedule a final massage as you had done in previous cases? Why wasn't this mentioned at all if it was required? This lack of transparency and clear communication has been frustrating, especially after I took the time and effort to come in person, despite the inconvenience. The way this situation was handled feels deceptive and unfair. I would like to remind you that the phone call from that day, as well as the surveillance footage, can be reviewed. Both should clearly show that I was assured everything was set, and no further charges would occur. I have been using Ed for awhile now and his knowledge of all level of massage, massage therapy, physical therapy, and creating an environment of well-being is outstanding. By having a reasonable rate membership, it allows me to explore add-on enhancements such as Himalayan Salt Stone. Probably the worst massage I've had in my life. I think she used couple drops of lotion in the beginning and that's it. She used one hand the entire time and kind of poked her thumb into my back. Imagine someone massaging your back while messing with their phone in the other hand, that's Perry much what it was like. I will go gently, but honestly. I had an appointment set for 11:00 a.m. I was asked to show up early to fill out some paperwork so that I can begin my massage "on time". I showed up at 10:50 and waited till 11:20 only to be told by Susan that my massage therapist could not be reached. I was very cordial and just asked for a credit for my time. I previously purchased a 50 minute massage and simply asked for them to increase it to 1 hour and 30 minutes. I arrived the next day and was greeted by the massage therapist who explained that she had told Susan that she had changed her schedule and asked if anyone explained that to me. I'm not sure why this mattered at this point other than to point the finger at one another. On a positive my massage was REALLY great (otherwise the rating would be 1 star). When the therapist ended the massage I didn't realize it had only been 1 hour. I asked Susan about the credit for the 1 hour and 30 minutes....she simply said "we credited the half hour". This be no sense whatsoever but neither did the customer service for the outcome. I'm am a business owner.....I'm sorry, but I could not recommend this business to anyone else. I had an outstanding experience at this new location. Chanel greeted me and made me feel comfortable while waiting for my massage. The decor is very modern and beautiful. My massage therapist, Carlos was AMAZING! I am having some low back pain and Carlos stretches my muscles - which has already provided some relief. He was professional and made me comfortable throughout the 90 minute massage. He knew exactly where my pain points were without me even telling him. When I first joined Elements Massage, I was quite pleased. I loved my Massage Therapist and ALWAYS scheduled Meghan. The last time I went, the front desk overcharged me. I spoke in length to the District Manager, and was told that I was wrong and that I owed them 30 dollars. This was an ongoing dispute. I finally went to the owner and explained that by my math, I was owed money. She refunded the money to my credit card. I also told her that it was not good business practice to continuously argue over the money when I was a monthly customer. Today, four days later, I show up for my scheduled Massage only to be told that it was cancelled, without informing me. The front desk woman blamed it on a previous staff member. By the way, they can't keep the front desk personnel. The 3 stars is for Meghan! I will not be using this branch again. read more
