I am 18 weeks pregnant and hadn't had a massage In about 4 months, I was so excited and looking forward to this. First off.. she put my face cradle straight into a pillow so there was no face hole or available air to breathe. I had to keep lifting my head to get oxygen. I had also told her to please give some focus on my hands and feet, my hands were not touched and she only massaged my right leg and foot and totally ignored the right. This is where it gets good. Being 18 weeks (second trimester) I can't lay on my back. I figured someone who offers prenatal massage would understand that. She not only argued with me about it, but she didn't have anything in the room to lift me up at all. She kept trying to tell me I was perfectly safe to lay on my back and finally offered me a neck pillow. This is the point I wish I would have just walked right out. I told her several times to lighten it, but she only lightened it a slight bit. She even climbed on my back three times with her whole body and used her elbows and knees to conduct the massage. I'm writing this the next day with bruises all over and hurting all over my back and legs. The language barrier was also a challenge, since they don't speak English. I will go somewhere with trained massage therapists next time. Updating this a week later and still have achiness, tenderness, and no relief of previous knots. So it's all compounded and worse.
