Very pleasant experience with Emily. I'm not a therapeutic massage guy: I'm 50/50 split on positive past appointments with masseuses elsewhere, and it's been 4-5 years since my last one. Elements has clean, relaxing studios for the massage, and I was entirely comfortable for 99% of my time on the table. Sign-in was a breeze. Emily was responsive to my requests, and incorporated new techniques (arm placement, muscle exposure, joint manipulation, altering between light touch and deep tissue) I hadn't experienced previously. I felt loose and in a better headspace when my hour was up, and Emily greeted my exit with a cold bottle of water. The dings: A bit too much elbow work directly atop my spine. Short lived, so this was minor. The biggest beef? Elements lays the upsell on thick. With memberships and salt stones and aromatherapy and fast follow-ups and more and more... I heard pitches to both new customers and those leaving their session. Slow your roll, folks. Overall, very positive, and I will be scheduling a return. I had a terrible experience. I booked a massage over the phone & was told a time, wrote it down as it was being booked. I walked in ten minutes early for the appointment I was supposed to have & they told me it was supposed to have started 20 minutes before. I was told it was no problem and to be seated I would be taken for a full length time. About two minutes later some woman with a terrible attitude walked out of the back room and insisted it was my fault & I would have to pay a full fee and only receive less then half of the service. I have used this place many times in the past and am sad to say they lost a long time client. I have never been as disgusted as I am right now. I will never go back! read more

I've worked with a few of the therapists but I love Emily's massage. You can tell that she really listens to your needs, addresses all "pain" points and give great suggestions. I have been getting massages for years. I think what was missing is the bedside manner. Nobody knocked before entering my room which I think is just common courtesy. I usually get deep massages & I find that 98% of the time the masseuse provides a deep tissue therapeutic massage that feels good instead of feeling like I am being slapped the whole time. I specifically asked to solely focus on one area for the majority of my massage and that did not happen. I would not recommend the cupping. I have gone to get cupping done elsewhere and felt immediate relief after. I could barely feel the suction of the cups and they kept falling off so it really did not benefit me at all. So relaxing. The decor and ambience put me in the right frame of mind and the massage straightened me out and was a perfect way to chill out before a long weekend. i used to go to a one owner massage therapist! She retired and a friend recommended elements massage in Hanover! I was a bit skeptical as I've been seeing the same therapist for over 10years!! They are great! From the front desk Checkin to the therapists! I mainly see Jen and Holly. My two favs! Jen is amazing as Is Holly. My daughter also goes and sees Holly, Shannon and Gigi. Today I saw Holly for a 90 minute prenatal massage. It was a wonderful experience. The facility is very clean and I was comfortable there. The ladies at the front desk were cheerful and helpful. Holly did a wonderful job with my massage - she addressed all my concerns and provided a safe and effective prenatal massage, with the help of a wedge and body pillow. The heated bed felt great on my sore hips and Holly's addition of warm, slightly damp face cloths wrapped on my feet after she massaged them was a treat. I've never felt more relaxed without falling asleep. I booked another massage for next month and I eagerly look forward to it! The only improvement I could think of would be the addition of a bed with removable parts for pregnant bellies, but this isn't a complaint! read more

This was my first time visiting Elements in Hanover. I was having a hard time with my shoulders and neck for the past 3 weeks and decided to give them a call. I got a 430 appointment that day with Daniel. They used my credit card to hold my spot. I arrived 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork, nothing huge, simple information about myself. I asked the receptionist if the cream was hypoallergenic, since I am allergic to fragrances and she went above and beyond to get me the answers. I barely had time to finish the paperwork before Daniel came to get me. He was attentive and listened to my issues. He got right to work on my problem areas, asking if I needed more pressure or not. Before I knew it, my time was up and my problem spots felt better. When I checked out, I decided I needed another massage to get the final knots out of my shoulders and signed up for the membership. No one forced me to do anything and I can cancel at any time. Right now $69 sounds better than $109 to get myself back to feeling better.
