You can tell a lot about a business by how they respond to criticism. Look at all the 1 stars, they belittle, they condescend their own customers. Does that make you comfortable as a new customer seeing this? Do you think all these begrudged customers could be wrong? I personally have never seen this many combative responses from a business against negative comments of their customers. We used this business for a few years, they did everything in their power to convince us to stay on a subscription that they knew they could not fulfill. Convincing my disabled wife to keep trying new masseuses over and over even after the previous one cause her pain. When we finally left they ignored their mistakes and manipulative tactics, pointed to a contract and said so sorry. We walked, with thousands of dollars unused. They sure had a smile on their faces when we left. The 5 star reviews here are clearly pumped or people get discounts to post them because every time we were in that place we heard some customer complaining. No way this place deserves more than 3 stars. read more

This has been my favorite place to get a massage. The staff is well trained and professional. I've gone to Tiffany for my one hour massage a few times and she's been excellent! The waiting area has calming decor. They also have water for you while you wait for your masseuse. The interior of all the rooms are very clean and the tables are comfortable. He has helped me through some of my tough days and there have been a lot of relaxing days as well. I love this place. I've been going to Elements on the monthly membership for a few years now. Sabrina at the front desk is always organized and welcoming. The customer service is great and the studio is beautiful and relaxing. My go to massage therapist is Wendi. I kind of hate to tell anyone because she is so good. This last week I told her I've been going to the chiropractor because my left arm keeps going numb and I've been doing exercises to make it better. She really worked on the arm and I can't tell you the relief I have from that massage. I highly recommend and hope you enjoy! read more

I would not buy any gift certificate from this place. My wife got me a gift certificate for 2 massage sessions. I made an appointment and after I went to check in I showed my digital certificate but the lady at the front desk could not find my certificate in their system. She kept working on it for a long time and finally found it. After about a month or so I went in for my 2nd appointment, the same thing happened. Another lady at the front desk could not find my gift certificate. She came out with many different scenarios that I did not have any certificate, saying that maybe one of my relative used it or it has been used somewhere else. It turned out that the first lady had processed both gift certificates the first time I went in. The second lady called somebody else to explain the situation and after about 30 minutes of waisting my time told me that whoever she was talking to approved it. She sounded as if she was doing me a favor rather than apologizing for waisting my time. I must say that the place is vey unorganized but the massage was ok. read more

I've been a member since late 2019, right before Covid hit. One of the main reasons I recommend Elements is because they allow members to "bank" their unused services. Needless to say, I didn't use any services for most of 2020 during the pandemic, but they never expired. I appreciate that business policy. I also appreciate the professionalism of their staff and massage therapists. My most recent few massages have been with Maya and she is superb! Overall, their membership is a good value and wonderful monthly indulgence for my aging and aching body. read more

STAFF OPENLY USE SLURS.... Website said that COVID regulations were being followed.... 100% categorically UNTRUE. When I arrived for my massage, the (maskless) receptionist was talking about how they travel out of state every weekend in order to take their daughter to soccer matches because soccer matches are not being held in-state due to COVID regulations. He called these regulations "r******d" (a slur used to disparage people with intellectual disabilities). My masseuse informed me that masks were optional though the website seemed to say otherwise; I opted to keep mine on for obvious reasons, but she removed her mask during the massage.... and touched her face multiple times, without sanitizing before touching me again. They did not ask if I had been experiencing any symptoms, didn't ask if I had been in contact with anyone who tested positive, and didn't check my temperature, though their website stated that all of these procedures were being followed. If not for their cancellation fee I probably would have just gone home. Very disappointing as I had a massage here once before and had no complaints. Needless to say, I reported them for not following COVID regulations and will not return any time soon. I sympathize with them since they are a small business and everyone is struggling right now (I did leave a tip despite everything), and the massage itself was good, but they are not prioritizing their clients'/staff's safety. Please note that this review is a repost; my original review from October 2020 got flagged and removed as it contained "offensive language," aka the slur that staff used (go figure). Earlier this week, I was in for my usual monthly appointment, as I love their membership. I always book with Marilee-she's the best and has been there for a few years. Upon leaving to check out one of the newer girls Sabrina, at the front desk was really confused about charging and booking. (the place is a revolving door when it comes to help unfortunately-guess nobody wants to work) Upon the her figuring out my card and charging it, I noticed fraud on my account and needed to immediately contact my bank. Being there was another paying customer in the lobby, I didn't want to explain all this out loud. I wrote to her on a post it note that I needed to wait to finish paying the remainder of today's bill ($30.00 was remaining because my $79.00 membership had already been taken out). Sabrina then READS my private note explaining this OUTLOUD in the lobby in front of the other customer which then caused a scene. I told her I would call back later as I needed to leave to contact my bank!! Instead of calling me to hear my side of the story, the OWNER takes her side and sends me the following texts (pictured). I've never had this happen in my entire life. You would think the OWNER would want to hear BOTH sides in order to keep business! Guess he could care less about a 1-star Yelp review and lost business. Based on the other 1-Star reviews, im not the first to experience this. I've NEVER had a single late payment, missed appointment, etc. crazy after all this time to be treated like this. AND not to mention I refer my friends and clients to his location. All over whatever fraud appears to be happening on my account which is being fixed by my bank NOW! I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere considering he's THIS angry over $30.00 which I never said I'm unwilling to pay. (Clearly he's never had fraud on his bank account, lucky him) Upon collecting FULL payment, the lunatic owner was STILL texting me! I had a bizarre experience at Elements recently. Booked a massage by calling, confirmed my appointment online via email, and showed up on time. I checked in and was told my therapist would be out momentarily. After a few minutes, I was then told by the woman working at the front desk that something was going on with my therapist and he was trying to leave his shift early even though my appointment was booked and confirmed. The lady working the front desk then called the owners and came back to me and said it would be best to book another day. I was honestly baffled by the whole interaction and was offered no explanation or reasoning for why my appointment was being cancelled. Regardless of the staffing issue, I was disappointed by how unprofessionally the situation was handled. I did not receive an apology or any explanation for why my therapist apparently just decided to leave his shift when he had appointments booked. read more

My first time here for pre natal massage at 14 weeks. She just rub oil on me. I asked several times if she can go deeper. She said no because it's pre natal. I had prenatal massage before where I felt like I got a massage. Came out and the receptionist asked how was it? I said fine but needed deeper. She said the lady doesn't do deep normally but next time can schedule with someone else. I won't be coming back. Honestly I don't like to give anyone negative reviews. But I was tolerating this guy who was answering the phone call. His name is Mike. From the first phone call until 2nd time talking to him today. I don't feel like being welcomed as a new customer to this location instead he was putting a lots of barriers to prevent me to come in? Is it normal??? I like Elements Massage and had good experiences with Irvine and Brea locations. I haven't been going during the Covid time. I have been looking for the closer location with the good reviews. However, I called this location yesterday, he answered and found my file from other location, then scheduled my appointment. During this whole time communication I felt a little weird but I was tolerating. However, he asked me to give him my credit information to hold the appointment. I asked him did you guys have this new policy. He said they have been doing this as always !? Really!? I didn't argue with him since my neck has been bothering me, and I really need the massage as my Chiroprator recommended me to do as periodically. I told him I am driving, I will have to call back to give him the credit card information. He said he can not keep my appointment until giving him the credit card information. I literally informed him that I will have to stop my car and read him the credit#. He insisted to put me on the waiting list and not keeping my appointment. This is absurd and absolutely criminal behavior. I gave up. Next day, I received the email to confirm my appointment, I felt bad that they still keep my appointment without asking my credit card info. So I called and trying to confirm my appt and give them my credit card info. Unfortunately it's him again, The 3rd bomb is, he said he couldn't find my appointment, and also blamed me that I didn't give him the credit card information, so he can not keep my appointment. OMG, the email system is even doing better customer service than this real person. Mike, If you are the owner, I don't know how did you keep your business doing well during this tough time. If you are the employee, I would advise your boss to give you a warning, then redo the training, or give you up and dismiss you if you are not trainable. The great experience with Element Massage was totally and completely extorted and destroyed like this. I told myself I won't go to this place anymore. Neither recommend this place to anyone. On the website, Elements claims to take Covid very seriously and take every precaution to make sure customers and staff are safe. However, I found the opposite. When I pulled up, a customer was in the front of the reception desk with no mask and the receptionist also wasn't wearing a mask. I waited for the customer to come out and I went in. The receptionist then put on a mask after I had already been talking to him for a minute. As I was waiting, there was a shift change at the front desk and low and behold the next receptionist walks in without a mask (she eventually puts it on 5 minutes later). They claim that they take everyone's temp but never saw the 2nd receptionist get her temp taken. Then its my time to go into the massage room. My therapist has a mask on and tells me that I can choose to not wear a mask while I'm getting the massage (I chose to keep my mask on). Half way through the massage, I was asked to turn over on my back. She was so close to my face, I could feel her breath on my forehead. I opened my eyes and to my disbelief, she was not wearing a mask and breathing all over me. The sad thing is, the massage was great but I will never be returning. read more
