Got a massage here with my husband and we had mixed experiences. The place was relatively clean, we had a private room for couples and the beds were pretty comfortable. Overall my massage was solid, I felt like my guy definitely knew what he was doing. I would have liked for him to focus more on my neck and shoulders but no big deal. The only thing that kinda icked us was the smell of the towels. My husbands smelled like mildew, maybe it wasn't dried well. That would be the only con here. My 18-year-old daughter recently went here for her very first professional massage. While the massage initially seemed fine, several aspects of the experience were concerning. The service cost was $60. My daughter paid with a $100 bill. When the therapist returned her change and my daughter went to pick it up, the therapist placed her hand over the cash and said, "Tip." There was no signage or communication beforehand indicating tipping expectations. My daughter explained this was her first massage and that she wasn't aware. She then left a tip anyway, to which the therapist responded, "That's it?" This left my daughter embarrassed and uncomfortable. The following morning, my daughter asked me to check the back of her neck because it was sore. At that time, I noticed a visible bruise in that area. My daughter shared that the therapist never checked in regarding pressure during the massage. As a first-time client, she assumed the discomfort was normal and didn't realize she could or should speak up. A professional massage therapist should regularly check in with clients...especially first-timers...about comfort and pressure. Between the lack of communication during the massage and the unprofessional handling of tipping afterward, the experience fell short. I found Diamond Massage through the trusty Yelp app while on a biz trip for 2 weeks in OC. I was doing 10 hour shifts in a row, so I was in dire need of a massage that wouldn't break the bank. This place was IT! Not only is it close to where I was working, but it was open late. Just what I needed as I was clocking out at 6 pm on the daily. I made an appointment and was promptly greeted when I arrived, and shown to my room. The lobby is clean and didn't reek of cigarettes. Thank God! I went with the Luxury Combo for $75, which lasted 100 minutes. Oh yeah!! There's something about human touch that just can't compete with a massage chair. I melted as my masseuse took away every aching part of me. I relished every minute and felt so relaxed when it was all said and done. The hot stones are always a nice touch. They were perfect for my sore body. All I wanted to do was take a nap afterward! If you're in need of a quality massage without the frills of boutique places, I highly suggest you come here! Wow... wow is all I gotta say. I'm a whole new person after a visit to diamond massage for my anniversary with my gorl. Don't be fooled by the exterior looking super sketch and uneasy haha. It definitely looks like one of those "weird" places. BUT. It's not. The inside looks professional and safe. My worries was that it may be gross and dirty, but coming inside everything was wrapped nicely and seems to be freshly washed or cleaned! During our couples experience we had a man and a woman massage us. I got the man and she got the woman. THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING! that was definitely a massage that we are going to remember for quite some time. They didn't speak at all during the time, besides if we are okay in the beginning and finishing at the end. Felt like good and safe people getting the work in, definitely hard workers that deserve a generous tip for their service. The price is nuts. I forgot to take a pic but 60 bucks for 60 minutes for a full body massage with hot stones is a steal comparing to other places I was looking at. A bang for our buck IMO. I used to come to Diamond Massage all the time, relying on them to help relieve my pain. Unfortunately, over the last few visits, my experience has steadily deteriorated. The inconsistency in service has become a major issue, both with the therapists and the front desk staff. I understand that some communication can come off as blunt, but lately with the small lady at the front desk, the experience has felt unprofessional and erratic, in terms of professionalism, service and pricing. I always call ahead to ensure they're ready to accommodate both me and my wife, but on my most recent visit, I felt misled. Certain combo packages were no longer available, and I experienced a bait-and-switch when the price I was quoted over the phone was $10 less than what I was charged upon arrival just to get me there. The front desk lady also complained several times about my use of a credit card, I was like, "wtf?!" and ended up of always having to go out of my way to pull cash from an ATM. On this last visit, I made a point of announcing it firmly to not worry, I've brought cash this time, like I'm some little kid, and despite this, I still faced issues. To top it off, I was accused of not tipping enough, despite the fact that the massage was rough and unbearable, and I had to ask the therapist to ease up on the pressure 3-4 times. Honestly, the service didn't even warrant a $10 tip, but I believe 20-25% each was more than generous between my wife and I. It makes me wonder whether the therapists are being paid fairly, as it seems like their compensation relies solely on tips. If that's the case, it's a concerning sweat-shop setup. Since they relocated next door, it appears that things have gotten worse. Back at their previous spot, the experience was at least tolerable, but now, I've had enough. Maybe the stress of managing this place has gotten worse now with the higher lease they're liable for. You can call and make an appointment and even if it is last minute they will try to pencil you in. Great prices and you'll leave feeling renewed! They have private rooms for massage or open floor for massage. I usually do the hot stone massage in private room. They accommodate your request for male or female. My first time here. Made an appointment in the morning for a 30 chair massage and got an appointment for 2:30 later that day! Arrived a bit early but they were ready for me. I was a bit surprised that there are not separate, private rooms for body massage - four massage tables were all in one room with no dividers, and there were two people having massages. My chair was in a tiny, curtained room but the curtain was never closed (no matter, just fyi). The guy who did my massage was fantastic! Such strong hands that clearly knew the tough spots! It hurt so good, lol! My neck and shoulders had been so tight and stiff but after my 30 minute massage I felt so relaxed and more flexible. I was grateful someone was able to massage me right away but in hindsight I should've come back on a less busy day. About the small space... The massage chair is in their front lobby- tucked in a corner. The lady barely pulled it out for me- they expected me to climb over the coffee table and another patron sitting on the couch to get into it. Knowing my backside would be facing the other customer, I angled the massage chair towards the wall. Still, it was awkward. The man who did my massage did an OK job, but he kept burping and sighing the whole time. When he was finished, he slapped my back extremely hard. I understand this is part of the routine, and their way of signaling the session is over, but he slapped it so hard he left marks and I was sore for days. Another weird thing is that I noticed a lot of young male clientele ... More than I have ever seen at other similar massage establishments.
