On the website, Elements claims to take Covid very seriously and take every precaution to make sure customers and staff are safe. However, I found the opposite. When I pulled up, a customer was in the front of the reception desk with no mask and the receptionist also wasn't wearing a mask. I waited for the customer to come out and I went in. The receptionist then put on a mask after I had already been talking to him for a minute. As I was waiting, there was a shift change at the front desk and low and behold the next receptionist walks in without a mask (she eventually puts it on 5 minutes later). They claim that they take everyone's temp but never saw the 2nd receptionist get her temp taken. Then its my time to go into the massage room. My therapist has a mask on and tells me that I can choose to not wear a mask while I'm getting the massage (I chose to keep my mask on). Half way through the massage, I was asked to turn over on my back. She was so close to my face, I could feel her breath on my forehead. I opened my eyes and to my disbelief, she was not wearing a mask and breathing all over me. The sad thing is, the massage was great but I will never be returning. read more

Hum. I was desperate to love this place. I really wanted a massage and was so happy when they have openings. I got a first client price which was nice. The place was very nice. The reception was lovely. The massage therapist was pretty good... I added hot Himalayan stone for $25, I didn't add aromatherapy which cost an extra $10. This is what I didn't like. The room smelled like nothing at all. I mean nothing. I never had a massage that had zero sent. I wish I added the aromatherapy because that kind of ruined the massage. Secondly- the hot stone was very blah. I wish I didn't spend $25 extra dollars on it. Third and the worst part is the massage therapist had bad breathe.... and he breathe heavy onto my face.... most of my massage I laid on my back... and his face was on top of mine... and his warm, stinky breathe. So the lack of aromatherapy and his breathe really ruined things for me. read more

My advice would be to make sure you understand the exact process and requirements for cancellation before you join their monthly membership wellness program. I would say that it is not easy or convenient to do; so be sure to understand it. See other reviews for this business on same topic. Today I finally got to use a gift certificate that I have had for like 3 years! I've passed Elements numerous times after getting my hair done next door, but never gone in. Until Friday, when I decided to use my gift certificate to ring in the start of summer. I booked an hour massage with Michelle. Flash forward to today, I got to Elements a bit early, but was welcomed and filled out paperwork. I chatted with Mike, and then was greeted by Michelle, who was my therapist. The decor of Elements is so warm and peaceful. Very zen-like. Loved the overall vibe! Michelle asked me all about areas of the most pain (luckily today I wasn't in any!), and I mentioned that I usually carry most of my stress and knots in my upper back and shoulders. I have to say that this was one of the best overall body massages I've gotten. Arms and legs were given ample attention! It was so relaxing! Often I have to have deep tissue to work out a ton of knots, but today I wanted to really enjoy the massage, so I went with lighter pressure. The only thing I was disappointed at was what felt like the least time spent on my usual areas that carry the stress- my upper back and shoulders. Don't get me wrong, it was a great massage, but I wish she would have taken more time on my back and shoulders. I will most likely come back though. I really did like Elements. I just need to save up! Their member program is a good deal- $79/month with no contract. If I could afford it right now, then I would consider doing that. Overall- friendly place with a great vibe. First time here and was lucky enough to get an appt with Kendra. I saw all the good reviews about her so I was excited. I have been an elements customer before and the service was excellent. I liked that it was consistent with what I experienced before at another location. Reception was kind accommodating and the clean very quiet spa. Very friendly offered water. Lovely Kendra was extremely professional and knocked my expectations out of the park. Of course the lady leaving after me, walked out raving about her. I've had many massages and she knows many techniques. Advanced techniques and stretches. Checks in often and was very accommodating. Incorporates hot towels as needed very nice touch. Disappointed in my visit today. Booked an hour long massage that was cut to 50 minutes with no explanation. Olivia was nice but I wasn't a huge fan of her technique. I booked with her specifically because the receptionist told me that she specialized in very firm massages. It was medium at best despite asking for it to be more firm mid-session. COVID rules displayed on the website aren't followed. No one was wearing a mask and the girls at reception wouldn't stop talking loudly about some guys dating profile long enough to run my payment. it came across very unprofessionally. This is my experience. Obviously people have different experiences. I lost my usual massage lady (she was self-employed) We had a friendly connection and there was a down to earth homey vibe" (if that makes sense.) So I was looking for a new connection. The owner seemed very professional and business like. I wouldn't call it a warm and friendly experience but definitely professional. I went twice. One was a male therapist who didn't really do much for me. The second was a female who was pretty good. One thing that really rubs me the wrong way personally is when these type of places try to sell memberships. I don't want a membership. They try to present it as some fresh benefit to you ( and maybe it is for some) But it's really about benefiting them financially. I'm not singling out this place for doing that. Obviously other places do it.It may not bother some people. But it's something that annoys me personally. It's ok to let someone know of course. But when I indicated no interest this person got pushy in my opinion. At that point I decided not to go back. I like a place to feel like it has a "soul" , not just a place of business. The owner was so rude! I called to see someone who was certified in oncology massages and he demanded that I bring them a doctors note before being seen. I tried to explain to him that I'm a cancer survivor and had not been treated in years but he kept arguing and interrupting. Its so frustrating for them to be so rude and cold to someone who was just giving them the full picture and being safe. They have this receptionist called Ashley. SHE'S THE WORST. Every time I book a massage on the weekend she calls to tell me it's cancelled and she's sorry for the inconvenience. Yes it's very inconvenient that I have to go to another store while I pay for a membership in here! It happened 3 times. She's a weirdo. Btw most of their therapist are really bad. I love Yelp. However, Yelp lead me wrong on this one! The good was this place is very nice and clean. The bad is the massage was terrible - I have had hundreds of massages and my expectation was high since they have so many 5 star reviews. The massage was 1 or 2 star and very disappointing. Didn't mind them being 15 min late for the appointment, yet, did mind the poor massage. Really felt like an elephant leg just bouncing around my body. There was no connection to my body, no technique, no interaction and for 90 minutes no sure how there was no work done with head, joints and stomach. Really was poor. Even with the intro rate of $89 for 90 minutes have no desire to go back. That place we go in Laguna Niguel is $40 for hour and $60 for 90 minutes and much better massage. Seriously, i have sat in massage chairs and had better therapeutic massages. Also, i think they may have "bought" some of the 5 star reviews. The sign at check out says $10 discount for 5 star reviews on Google. Maybe they had a special like that to build their 5 star reviews on Yelp? I love Elements Massage in Laguna Niguel. I have previously held a membership with Massage Envy. This place is not even on the same level. It's more along the lines of an affordable Burke Williams (which I have not been to in years but remember it costs a months salary!). The first time I went to this EM I joined the membership program. It was probably the best massage I have ever had. I am super busy so I schedule appointments that match my schedule. This has means I have never had the same masseuse twice. Every massage I have had there keeps getting better than the last. What takes this to the next level for me is the level of the masseuse. I can clearly see the difference. I felt like Massage Envy just hired people right out of school with no hands on experience. This tells me that EM must pay their employees a lot more. The cost to the customer is minimal for a highly elevated service. My second favorite thing is the ability to book appointments on line. This is key for me. You are assigned a portal which keeps all of your previous massage info, the name of your masseuse, date and time. Plus there is a button which allows you to rebook the exact same appt for a different day. This is so convenient. There are also lots of little value adds you just don't get at other places. Just a few; a full bottle of water after your massage which is much better than a tiny little pathetic plastic cup of warm water, a York peppermint patty left near the table in the room and a very clean bathroom. Just to name a few. I would highly recommend Elements Massage to all of my friends and family. read more

What an opportunity! Amazing value. As with other reviews...I totally agree. This is a very clean and well put together location. I have not met Jamie, the owner, but understand she is a therapist and passionate about the quality or work and feel of the experience. Clearly she has her focus on the right things. I followed my therapist, Jen, to this location. She is the best OC has to offer...I hate to say ask for her. The last place she worked it took sometimes 6 months to get in with her. Always nice to be in a new, clean and professional location. If you are a former Massage Envy client...this is an upgrade, without the longer membership commitments. You can sign up, month to month. I strongly recommend this location for a quick pain or stress relief as well as regular therapy if needed. Again...they are relatively new and you can get an appointment very fast. There was no fluid flow, she made the worst noises and was so loud. She threw things during the massage (not a joke). The pressure went from medium to the point that she was actually hurting me. I read about Elements Massage's good review, and decided to give this place a try with the introductory price. That was almost one year ago. I used to get Groupon discounts for massages, and went places to places. I never felt good enough about a place to make a commitment until I had that massage at Elements. I immediately joined the membership program right after. My massage therapist is Jill. She is truly amazing. When I come in with pain and stress, it's all gone by the time she finishes the massage. She uses hot stones without extra charges and I love hot stone massage on my back! Not only she gives great massages, she spent time after the massages to teach me stretching routines. One time I had neck pain and booked the "emergency" massage with another therapist because Jill wasn't available that day. The other therapist wasn't bad, but didn't help my neck issue. I booked another appointment with Jill 2 weeks after when my neck pain didn't go away. Like magic, the neck pain was gone the next day after the massage with Jill. The front desk girl, Caitlin, is very sweet and friendly. She remembers your name, and always welcome you with a sweet smile. When you need to book an appointment, you can either call or simply book online. It's very convenient and easy. Remember to subscribe to their email newsletter. This place is AWESOME! The facility is clean, well decorated and smells great. The front desk staff is knowledgeable, warm and friendly. I come from a Spa management background, and can be very particular with my massage. I have a lot of neck and back issues, and need experienced hands as well as some intuitiveness. I found an amazing massage therapist here at Elements. David is hands down one of the best therapists I have had in YEARS! He listened to me, my body and was very professional. He was great with his draping and had a fabulous massage technique. He checked in, and made sure that the pressure was okay. I am very happy! ELEMENTS is my go to place. Jamie is amazing, and I drive from Fountain Valley to Laguna just to see her. I haven't had a massage like she gives in years! I've never stuck to one massage center for as long as I have, and even joined their wellness club (and they don't push it in you like other places do) so I can get them on a regular basis. I just had one of the best massages and it was only my leg/foot! I can only imagine how well the rest of me would feel after Jill works her magic!!!! I came to Elements having a strained calf muscle and plantar fasciitis irritation. I was limping and it hurt to put full weight on my leg. The front desk staff is sweet and genuine, helping you get to your appointment even when you're lost :P My therapist was Marian/Sassy and as a contortionist, I was looking for someone who understood the demands of performance art. Sassy was a professional dancer and with her unique ability to feel what people need, she relaxed my body more than it has in years. The next morning I felt like a brand new person with my usual access to my body's hypermobility! I will definitely be joining the wellness program as I see this as vital to my professional success. They ended up scheduling me with a lovely lady name Joyce because they said that they have similar styles. Well, they were wrong. I went the next day and when I entered the room I was greeted by a lovely receptionist named Nour who is really nice and very welcoming. The place smelt wonderful and it felt relaxed. Then I was greeted by Grace the massage therapist. She's so nice and her massage is awesome!! She hit the right spot of my intense neck & shoulder. Even it only 15 minutes but it feel so GOOD. They did offers a subscription or month-to-month membership but they not pushy at all. If we want it we get it, if we pass that's ok for them too. I've been here about three times now. The first time was a birthday gift for my fiancé, and we both had an amazing time. So then the next time I decided to bring my sister in, there was a mix up and only she was able to get a massage that day but I booked for a different time and they gave me a free massage to make up for the mix up! They were awesome and so apologetic, the poor girl even offered me some chocolate too! The staff and environment at Elements is just wonderful! Jill was amazing! This was my first massage and she made me feel very comfortable..not to mention how good it felt! The atmosphere was very relaxing and the music and lighting were perfect.. I was very euphoric leaving...totally could have taken a little nap! Negative reviews are VERY hard for me, but I feel it would be unfair to future massage seekers to not share today's experience. When you are looking to spend hard-earned money on massage therapy, you really want to be sure you're getting the treatment you're anticipating and/or needing. I visited Massage Elements in Laguna Niguel for the first time today and it was the most bizarre, disappointing massage OF MY LIFE. When I booked my appointment, I asked for a Deep Tissue Massage. When I filled out my first time paperwork, I noted that I was looking for emphasis on the neck, shoulders, and upper back. When I met my masseuse, I let him know that I have nerve issues that affect my neck, shoulders and upper back. Expecting him to be a trained professional who is familiar with the human body and muscle structure, I told him that he would recognize it (the tense muscles and knots) right away once he felt it. He asked if I wanted a full-body massage, and I said no, just the lower back and up would be fine. If I would have wanted to be doused with sunscreen and lightly rubbed down by a child, I would have asked my eight-year-old son. Even then, I'm sure he would have done a better job... I got hardly any focus and zero deep tissue treatment on my upper back (where I desperately need it), a lot of brush motion strokes on my lower back, and I got firm squeezes (literal squeezes) on my shoulders and neck. This massage (aka oil slick down) was so strange that it took all my efforts not to laugh. The beginning was like watching a B list movie, where you keep watching because you're hoping it eventually gets better. When you realize that you are not the victim of an Ashton Kutcher prank, you try with all of your might not to laugh, or ask to leave early. Have you ever had a really bad haircut and you don't request that the stylist to "fix" the embarrassment because you're afraid they'll only make it worse? Well, that's how I felt during this massage experience. I did not want to talk to the receptionist on the way out because there were two other ladies in the waiting area and I did not want to cry in public. As I drove home, I still felt like crying. I have had better massages from $20/hr foot/full-body hole-in-the-wall parlors. If Massage Elements were to offer me free massages for life, I would quickly and happily decline. Perhaps it was this particular masseuse? I'm not sure, but I would not want to waste another minute of my time in finding out. read more

Caitlin at the front desk is super sweet and is very friendly. Just the face you want to see when you walk in for your service. I had a 1 hour massage with Cat (I believe that's her name-shes new to Elements). She was very relaxing and comfortable to be around. I didn't want super deep work (even though I need it) because I really wanted just a full body relaxation massage. She was great! I have heard amazing things about James who transferred from another Elements so I will book my next appointment with him. Looking forward to it! FYI There was no pressure at all to buy the monthly membership which I loved since I am not looking to become a member. I will def be back for massages when I can. read more
