Price increase is understandable to a point. I budget monthly and have adjusted to the price increase for wellness membership but now they are adding additional fees for Elite therapists. My budget always included 20% tip but now with the additional fees for "elite therapists", Elements is going to end up with half the tip due to budget constraints on this consumer. If I have to pay more up front its gotta come out of the prior budgeted tip:( Why would I switch to a non elite therapist if I finally found 'The One' and have been booking this specific (now Elite one) for two years monthly? Shame on Elements. Give the therapists their due promotion but don't take it out on the customers (patients). read more

Purchased a gift certificate for my wife as a Christmas gift. She did not want to do to all the COVID stuff. I went to get a refund and they would not. The receipt did say no refunds but I didn't notice it. We have been customers in the past and thought they might have enough respect for us to give us the refund. I just started a membership with elements massage this year but they've already made it useless by promoting half of their Middleton staff to be "elite" therapists which comes with an upcharge of bringing it back to full price with tip. It's not respectful to those paying monthly memberships. Therefore, these "elite" therapists' tip is just gonna be that upcharge they're forcing, cause they don't need my tip now that they got a promotion. The point of people getting these memberships in the first place is to be scheduled monthly and AT THE MEMBERSHIP RATE ON YOUR WEBSITE regardless of when you decided to promote all of your therapists. Yes, they tell you when you are getting scheduled with an elite therapist and the upcharge but no one wants to pay that when we're already paying for a membership, that's the point of a membership; one price with perks... There's only a FEW non-elites left now that are most likely booked out months ahead. I just do not understand the point of them offering memberships at the Middleton location now if it's bull. Gonna switch to the Fitchburg location. read more

The massage therapist was excellent. The front desk was weirdly uncommunicative. I will never go back there again. So a friend gave me spa gift cards, and Elements is one of the only places who accept the cards. I noticed they also were promoting a $20 discount on a one hour massage for new clients. Not having been to one of their locations, I figured I qualified. When I made my appointment I mentioned the $20 promotion AND the type of gift card I had. The only communication was, yes we take those gift cards. Fast forward to my appointment date. One of the front desk persons asks would you like a tour of the facilities. Sure I say. OK here is where it gets weird. She shows me the waiting area, obvious to anyone who walks in, then shows me the corridor with all the massage room doors off to each side. Points to a massage room which is pitch black. And says, there is a restroom around the corner. Seriously, this needed a "tour"?! The massage was fabulous. Then comes time to pay. The woman at the desk NEVER says how much it is. I once again mention the $20 promotion. Then I hand her the gift cards. She still says nothing. She not only charges me full price, but then won't even return the $1 the cards were over. When I ask about the promotion, she says "I can't do that on gift cards." I say, no one ever communicated that to me. She disappears and adamantly refuses to do anything about the miscommunication and doesn't apologize for the lack of information. There are a lot of mediocre reviews on here and if I were you, I would heed them. There are many spas that offer massages in Madison, and you betcha if I save up enough money, I will be patronizing them. I am very unhappy with the customer service at this place. A good massage if you want to pay for a 90 minute massage for a 80 minute or less massage. I happened to look at my phone when the massage therapist came for me and she was already a minute late (not a big deal). However, as I was driving home, I looked at the time and there was no way I should have been arriving home when I was. I looked at my emailed receipt and I had been paying for the massage while I was supposed to still be receiving the massage. When I asked for at least some money back for a short massage, they refused. They said "Our massage sessions do include the time for dressing and undressing as well as consultation. So, an hour session is typically ~50mins hands-on, and the 90min sessions are typically ~80mins hands-on". Not going again. Be warned unless you're good with driving home while you should still be on the massage table. read more

I recently had a massage here by John, and he was wonderful. If I was rating the massage alone I would give it 5 stars! The place is nice enough, but it is small. I would love to see it expanded to include a relaxation room and a larger bathroom. After my massage I needed to make myself look presentable again and I was surprised to see one single stall bathroom for the entire place. I tried to hurry up and be quick in case someone else needed to get in. Hurrying after a 90 minute massage was not really something I had planned, and it kind of killed the mood. What a fantastic Mother's Day treat! I asked for a deep-tissue therapist, and I couldn't have been happier with Caleb. He was kind, professional, and knew exactly where my muscles were knotted and how to allieviate the knots. He did a fantastic job of explaining how he would address the tension points and was very considerate of my pain tolerance. I will most definitely be back and I highly recommend Caleb for therapeutic, deep-tissue & pressure-point massage. read more

I am a huge fan of Elements Massage. After going for quite some time now, I've been able to see a couple different massage therapists, all very good. However, I can now say that Caleb is my favorite for deep tissue and pressure point therapy. Caleb is extremely capable in finding knots that I didn't even know I had. Not only does he find them, he knows how to release them. He's always so sweet and thoughtful. He does a fantastic job of listening and following through. If you are knotted up like me, I highly recommend seeing Caleb to alleviate pain associated with muscle tension. read more

Front end is always nice and friendly. I've been coming to elements for 2 years now I only see one massage therapist so I can't speak on the others. But, Marlene is amazing! She remembers all my sore/knotted spots and works them out painlessly while making it so relaxing. I've actually dozed off on the table! After the first time getting a massage from her I signed up for the wellness program because I need that kind of relaxation in my life. If you're ever looking for an amazing relaxing massage she's the one to see! She books fast so call ahead Update: Unfortunately, while the now two massage therapists I've been to are still wonderful the front end has gone extremely down hill from when I first made my review (lots of turnover) due to the terrible lack of communication and customer service from the front end I've canceled my membership and am downgrading my rating. I love going here for my massages! The atmosphere is pleasant and calming. I never have a problem getting in or out and I never have to wait long. And I'm always very comfortable going here, which has not always been the case with other places I have went for massages. I was asked all the usual COVID questions, but when I asked if any of their employees have been exposed, been in quarantine or tested positive, I was told they didn't know or were not aware. The staff is wonderful and I love that my therapist keeps track of my preferences and adjusts my treatment accordingly. My therapist, Dana, does a great job! She's taken the time to get to know me and what I need and always gives that little bit extra to help with whatever issues I am having at a particular appointment. I always walk out feeling better than when I walked in, and look forward to my next session. My therapist is great, the office staff is wonderful, and the treats at Christmas were an unexpected and delightful bonus! I have been going to this location for a few years now. The owner and staff are very welcoming and the vibe is just what you would expect. I have tried a few different therapists, but find myself coming back for work from Dana and AJ. They offer deep tissue, aromatherapy, and more. I went for a shoulder injury that really helped me get back on track. Also during my pregnancy, I had amazing results for lower back pain associated with the extra weight. I would suggest this location to anyone who needs massage work or wants to give the gift of relaxation! Kudos to the staff at Elements Middleton on being the best around. read more

You can schedule an appointment online...and in my case, the exact same day. I was able to work in a massage during work and even choose the style of massage. Once I arrived, it was in and with my therapist. A finishing touch was that I was given a bottle of water (to go) and some exercises to do that will help keep those muscles stretched. I've had some sports-related tightness and needed a massage.I didn't want to relax, I wanted to loosen my knots and ease my discomfort. JJ was amazing. He is great with deep tissue sports massages. Really finds the knots and digs them out. He's professional and kind and knowledgeable. I strongly recommend him if you like the same kind of massages I like, although I'm sure he'd do a great gentle massage if you asked. I'll definitely go back. This establishment is wildly unprofessional. The music literally flickers in and out - and you cannot relax while getting a massage. The establishment adamantly denies this and refused to fix it. Front desk person Jen told me "maybe you should get your ears fixed". Absolutely shocked at such amazing terrible services. Really happy with my massage here. It's more convenient than the other place I've gone and parking is easy. Rates are competitive and the the receptionist applied the $10 new client discount even though I forgot to print my coupon and I forgot to ask for the discount. Saw Dave who is really good at what he does. I requested a therapeutic massage and he did a fantastic job and was really mindful of checking in on my pain tolerance. I had no idea I was even sore in some of the spots he hit. But what was a nice bonus was that he started and ended with relaxing massage. In the past other therapists elsewhere have just worked on the sore spots and been done. It was really lovely. They have quite a few therapists and online appointment booking so I had no trouble getting an appointment exactly when I wanted one. read more

My experience was pretty good, but not my wife's. Nice place, but you get the sense they don't care. You are better off to go to Dr. Zhou's and get the students to do it. I went here as a result of a gift card, not really expecting much. I was wrong. I love everything about it. The reception staff is always friendly and helpful. I never have to wait, my appointment always starts on time. I have seen A.J. four times now and I cannot say enough good things about him. The funny thing is, I went to my first appointment adamant that I wanted a woman therapist. When I arrived for my first appointment, the person I had scheduled with called in sick at the last minute. My options were reschedule with a female or see A.J. I am so glad I decided to stay that day. He is helping me with a very soar shoulder, and although it is taking time, I can tell it is getting better every time I go. I did join the Wellness Program and for $60 a month I get a massage. However there was no high pressure sales pitch for me to do so. I appreciated that. No complaints here at all, give A.J. a try, you will not regret it! read more

I've been to Elements a few times and have seen quite a few of the staff, who are all very good, but a couple of weeks ago I had Kat for the first time - it was amazing!!! She doesn't work everyday and she tends to fill up quickly but she works most weekends and if you call a couple days early she can usually get you in. My massages here are always personalized; you can tell they really care about you. Comfortable, quiet space- I love that they only offer massages. Great massage, don't get me wrong. I loved it. What I didn't love was getting a bill for $40 more than I expected after the massage was over. The prices on the website were deceptive and it cost me. Guess I should have figured that out, but hindsight is 20/20. If you can afford it, I would highly recommend Elements though. read more
