I wish to update and rescind part of this review after someone at Elements did finally get back to me and informed me that the owners minor son, was shot 7times after being robbed at gunpoint! A family tragedy such as this can throw anyone off track, and they were gracious to offer a re-schedule. I got a groupon for a couple massage at Elements of Sunshine for my husband and myself and made an appointment. We showed up and there was nobody there and their gate was locked (even though it was during their listed business hours). We tried calling and nobody answered. Bought a Groupon for a couples massage and was very excited to try a new massage place. I tried to book online as suggested however for some reason the Groupon wasn't working so I called the number provided. The person that answered the phone was very rude and was obviously put out by having to answer the phone and even more upset she had to book an appointment over the phone. She informed me that I had to pay gratuity for the massage when I booked the appointment and that the Groupon is only good for Tuesday through Thursday, though the Groupon doesn't state that anywhere. Overall had to get a refund from Groupon because this place doesn't honor their Groupons nor like when people use the Groupon. Very disappointed that this business was so rude. read more

The woman at the counter gave me an insincere apology and a blame-shifting statement of "that part of our online booking system hasn't been fixed yet." ( and for someone in a demanding job or extreme stress, this can be an amazing mood changer...) This place has the worst customer service ever! I booked a Groupon for a relaxation massage. I tried to schedule online but the website required a deposit (I wasn't willing to give my CC info since I had a groupon) Groupon, so I called and left 2 messages asking to book a massage on a specific date & time that showed available online. No response to either message i left! I decided to text them stating the same thing. They sent me a link to the website. I explained I'm not paying the requested deposit bc I have a groupon. They sent me another link to purchase a gift card. I'm not sure why, but this whole situation was getting really frustrating. I asked why their website says I can book via text or call if I can't actually book that way. Andrea said she was working the day & time I wanted and would put my info into the system when it was back up and running. 10 days pass from the date we spoke, so on the day of my massage I text them asking which location I should go to for my massage & they say they have no record of me in their system. I send screenshits of my conversation and their response, "sorry its not in our books" They didnt even try to squeeze me in or rebook or anything. That was it. It's literally like they just don't even care. Needless to say, I would NEVER go here and I'm getting my Groupon refunded because this experience has been less than relaxing. read more

This place was amazing for a massage--exactly what I needed! By a stroke of luck, due to a cancellation, I was able to make an appointment the day before. I was in Tacoma to take the bar exam, and figured I'd get a massage in between the 2-day exam, when I was most tense and in need of some relaxation. Boy was that a great idea, and Elements of Sunshine was perfect! I got an hour-long massage that was absolutely fantastic, and for a very reasonable price. I walked out feeling like a million bucks, and crushed the test on Day 2. So I couldn't recommend this place highly enough! Thanks for a fantastic, relaxing massage! I'll be back! read more
