I wasn't concerned with the bells and whistles or luxury amenities found at spas. However, there are some norms that were bypassed and broken during my visit. I walked in and was greeted pretty quickly by Jada who walked up from the back of the building. She asked if I wanted a massage. After I replied yes, she pointed to the wall and asked which one? I told her the 90 minute massage. She directed me to the room I'd be in. There was no consultation and no paperwork done. I asked what kind of massage it was going to be and she didn't give a coherent response. Later during some small talk she told me her English wasn't good. As far as the actual massage, it was pretty good. She asked several times if the pressure was ok. She made use of her elbows, forearms, and hands and really worked on some knots. She was not afraid of the glutes. She used hot towels to remove excess oil which I appreciated. The Bad: She seemed to linger in some areas too long (i.e. neck area, nothing inappropriate) and even repeated areas she already covered. I spent 95% of my time face down. My quads, biceps, and forearms were neglected. Here's the biggest foul. She left the room at least 4 times during my session. The first time I had no clue why she left. The other times I'm guessing it was to answer the phone or greet a customer. But why her? There were three other therapists there. They should invest in a receptionist. Overall, the massage was ok for the price. If you're into dealer's choice massage, go for. If you want a traditional experience, this is not the place.
