Recently I was told by my general dentist that I needed to have a root canal he performed retreated. Upon x-ray it was discovered that I would actually need to have two teeth retreated. I was seeking answers because this wasn't the first time that the work performed by this local sedation dentist needed to be redone. In addition to seeing an endodonist a friend suggested I go and visit Dr. Barroner at Elevated Oral Surgery. I wanted to make sure that there wasn't anything additional going on in my mouth since this wasn't the first time my general dentist left me in pain. I made an appointment and received my new patient paperwork online so that I could fill it out before I ever stepped foot in the office. This was a great experience as it saved me time and meant not having to arrive early to my appointment to fill that paperwork out. Understanding that while I was not in allot of pain, I was uncomfortable, and needed to get my teeth fixed as soon as possible they made me an appointment for the next day. Upon arriving at the Elevated office I was greeted by Dr. Barroner's friendly staff. The waiting room was calming especially for someone who agonized going to doctors (especially the dentist) in the past. Dr. Barroner's staff made me feel welcome and kept me comfortable and entertained as to not let my mind wander about what would happen once I left the waiting room. After a very short wait Dr. Barroner came into the waiting room and greeted me and welcomed me back to an exam room. Understanding of my anxieties around being there the first thing we did was sit at a desk and talk about my past history and the problems that brought me there for my appointment. She then led me to an x-ray room like I had never seen before. This machine didn't even require me to sit in a chair which immediately eased any remaining anxiety I had. In addition to being the most comfortable x-ray I had ever received it was by far the most detailed. We returned to the exam room and Dr. Barroner took time to explain everything she could see from the detailed x-rays. Once she confirmed the two teeth in question were the only ongoing issues she had me sit in a very comfortable exam chair where she caringly performed an examination to see if there were any other issues going on with my mouth. The amount of time Dr. Barroner took explaining what she saw made me feel so much better about the decisions I would make to get my problems treated. She agreed that at this point I should have the root canals be retreated not by my general dentist but by an endodonist who would be better equipped and trained for the details needed to resolve my particular case. While this particular issue did not require treatment from an oral surgeon, I can promise you if and when I do need those services or ever have questions regarding my oral care, I will be going back to Elevated Oral Surgery and Dr. Barroner. read more

Magnificent Experience: I was referred to Dr. Meghan Barroner's office by my dentist after breaking/splitting a molar in half. Ouch! I broke the molar, late afternoon, the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. I called the office and was greeted by a very friendly staff member who assessed my situation and then he immediately spoke with Dr. Barroner. I was informed that they would stay open late and see me that day. I was told this after I explained - I was at work and I could not get there any sooner than an hour later. Upon arriving at the office I was greeted by the entire staff. I was not greeted in discontent for having them stay late on a holiday weekend but with open arms and a genuine concern for my situation and wellbeing. This was no rush job. I was x-rayed/scanned, taken to a room, and the entire procedure was explained to me very thoroughly before my tooth was extracted. I was given the opportunity to ask multiple questions and they were all answered with understanding and without hesitation. My tooth extraction was painless and flawless. It was recommended that I return to have a dental implant placed in the future. Although, at no time did I feel pressured to purchase services that were not immediately required to rectify my current/emergent situation. The entire experience, from check in to check out, was above and beyond my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call that evening from Dr. Barroner checking up on me. I also received another call from her office the day after Memorial Day. I have had a considerable amount of dental work performed over the years and have never been more impressed by an office. I have seen Dr. Barroner two separate time now. Basically a year apart. They have been both tooth extractions and was in excruciating pain for both. First they were as nice as could be when I called to tell them and they got me in as quickly as possible. And they have a gorgeous lobby and building. The Dr. was awesome very polite and you can tell she knows wut she is taking about. Not jus BSing you. I am one of the people that are always hard to num so she made sure that I wouldn't feel a thing. On both tooth extractions I felt no pain and it was over before I knew it. I was very nervous the first time and she calmed me down. The second time I went I wasn't worried about anything they actually said my blood pressure showed that I was very relaxed. Lol. But all I can say to add to this I have had 6 teeth pulled when I was younger and the Novocain didn't work after 6 shots. I felt everything. So bad that the whole waiting room got up and left from me screaming. And I was jus a kid. Need less to say that dentist does not practice dental anymore and was stripped off his license. I will never go to anyone ever again besides Dr. Barroner!! She is the greatest!!!!! read more

I would recommend Elevated Oral to everyone! I needed all my teeth removed, a nasal lift, bone grafts, implants and dentures! I went to another surgeon first and went away terrified. We found Dr Barroner and I am SO GLAD we did. Through the entire process every one in that office treated me like I was the only patient they had. They took great amounts of time to thoroughly explain my options. They didn't push anything onto me. Anytime throughout the process, if my husband or I had a question they answered with patience and respect. They were kind and gentle. The atmosphere is clean and serene. All that would mean nothing if they weren't skilled. However, I found Dr Baronner and her staff to be meticulous in every aspect of my care. I had no complications and I love the results. From the moment you walk into the door you feel like you are part of the Oral Care Family. Rose at the desk is the best and makes sure the whole process is a flawless one. Dr. Barroner's assistants are there to keep you calm throughout the whole experience and are there to answer as many questions you may have. I went in so nervous about my tooth extraction and future implant that i was sweating prior to the procedure. After Dr. Barroner came in showed me my xrays and explained the many options and best practice to continue with I was not worried at all. I honestly can't wait to go back and get my implant because you are felt and treated like family. I have had numerous problems with my teeth over the years and have gone to the same dentist since I was a little kid. I am so happy to find Dr.Barroner! She made the process of getting an implant so easy on me. If you have a fear of getting a tooth extracted or an implant I highly recommended this practice. After the surgery I had very little pain and healed up very quickly. I was surprised to learn how much dentistry has changed over the years. The office had all of the lasted and greatest technology and was more reasonably priced than my old dentist. Every person was completely professional and kind from the front desk, to nursing staff, to Dr. Barroner herself! Rose in the Front Office has been so helpful navigating through appointments, re-scheduled surgery, surgery and a follow-up appointment. Dr. Barroner called the evening following surgery to make sure my son was doing well. Wow, I can not fully express to you what a lifesaver Dr. Barroner and her staff were for me this morning. I am visiting family in the Pittsburgh area from the Midwest, and a tooth I had a large filling placed in about a week before I left for my trip became extremely infected. I called this morning and they got me in within 30 min. She extracted the tooth and did a bone graft within about 40 min., which was painless for the most part thanks to the novocaine. I like many others have quite a bit of anxiety when it comes to needing dental work but I must say this was the most positive experience I've had. I lost a filling and put off getting to the dentist until it was too late, I needed an extraction of a molar. From the time I arrived the staff was friendly and welcoming. Very Impressed! I had a tooth that needed pulled and was hurting very badly. I called the minute they opened and by 9:30 I was walking out one tooth less.
