He took the time to explain every step of the process, listened to my concerns, and made me feel confident in my treatment. Unfortunately, my experience this time has been very different. I feel that very little is explained to me, and both dental providers I have seen spend only a few seconds with me and do not really acknowledge or address my concerns. I originally came in to have my bottom teeth corrected. I specifically explained that I was very happy with my top teeth at the time, as they were straight from my first round of braces, and I had a permanent retainer. I was told my estimated treatment time would be 12-18 months. I am now at the 18-month mark and am still nowhere near finished. What is especially frustrating is that my top teeth, which I was originally happy with, now look significantly flared out. I have repeatedly asked when my treatment is expected to be completed, but I have not been given a clear answer. At this point, I am very unhappy with the results and frustrated with the lack of communication. I understand that orthodontic treatment can take time and that adjustments may be necessary, but I expected my concerns to be taken seriously and my treatment plan and timeline to be clearly explained. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

I did follow up by calling the customer service line to see what happened...I was just being hung up on when the person on the other end found out my insurance wasn't medicaid and it was good insurance through my employer...when I finally got ahold of someone who didn't hang up I found out that I did have an appointment but now they're saying it was at 8 am and then it went from Monday at 8 to the 12th at 9 all in the same conversation. Very shady. If you have your own private insurance and it's not through the state I would suggest going to a private dentist or some thing that has better reviews that isn't conveniently close to your house. I have really good insurance and could go anywhere I only tried to be seen here because it's two minutes from my house and I could get in right away....what a mistake. Now, 20 years later, the opportunity came up that my 8 year old daughter needed a consultation. Dr. Leland came highly recommended by our dentists and since we are new in the area we gave him a call. From the moment I walked in I just felt I was in a very professional, state of the art office. The space is beautiful! And clean! All of the equipment is cutting edge and the whole check in and appointment process was seamless. Dr. Leland took his time with both my daughter and me. I felt very comfortable with him as a person and with his level of expertise. Even more than that, he is extremely kind and thorough. He wasn't fazed at all with my complex-not-so-straightforward case and was very optimistic with the results he knows he will achieve. We started treatment right away and I could not be happier with the staff and the way my treatment is going. My appointments are always on time and quick. Tyler, his assistant, even helped set up a payment plan that was comfortable for me. My only regret is having waited as long as I did to schedule the consultation!

The reason I gave it three stars is because of the…read moreincorrect information given to me from their payment staff member (don't recall her actual title) about how my insurance worked with coverage and payments. I was told we would have to pay the office directly and my insurance would reimburse us because Delta is the only insurance the does this according to the lady in charge of payments. She said I would be getting either the whole reimbursement or a partial lump sum and then payments after from Delta until I reached my max coverage, which was $2500, after she submits the claim. Because of this I agreed to pay in full and I would get a discount. After waiting for my reimbursement check I called Delta Dental and was told I was given incorrect info from the orthodontist office. Delta wouldn't pay them directly because they're not a contracted provider with them and because my child's treatment (braces) was over 12 months, I would only be reimbursed half of the plan coverage, which would be $1250. I can only get the remainder IF I continue my plan with Delta next year and won't get it until April 2019. I called their office back and the insurance claims lady returned my call. She was super friendly and told me what Delta said was correct and the lady who gave me the incorrect info on my insurance has been told to make this clear to people. I told her I have all this in writing proving this is what I was told. She was very nice and understood where I was coming from. I understand nothing can be done but I wanted the office to know this happened. Other than this, it's a nice place with friendly staff.

There were no plastic covers on the light (which clearly had caked on splatter from procedures) or equipment, floors were nasty and the chairs dusty and nasty. After seeing this my daughter and I had a bad feeling and decided to leave. I told the orthodontist to not worry about us. He said he'd give us a call and I told him please don't. That was that. How is this place even open? If I could report them to the health department I would do it with no hesitation. Are the instruments even sterilized? Took multiple pictures of my teeth then said I was faking my bite. I paid $4500 to fix my teeth and after two years they started to shift back. The owner did not offer any solution to my problem and told me to go to another dentist that he would not be fixing anything. Sat there and argued with me the entire time in front of an office full of people. Incredibly unprofessional, and I will be posting everywhere how I was treated today. I will also be speaking to the Better Business Bureau about the scam that is courtesy, dental and orthodontics. as someone who is a customer and paid for cosmetic braces to walk away, worse than how I originally came, and argued with the whole time, as if I'm making things up, shows the lack of professionalism that they have.
