Dropped in for lunch. Good spot with excellent atmosphere. Super attentive staff and very fast…read moreservice. I ordered the tuna poke bowl. It was good portions and fresh with good flavor. The fruit, tuna and aioli type sauce mixed well together. Good lunch experience

We were pleasantly surprised to find this place with great food and service not too far from our…read morehotel. We visited twice during our vacation in Calgary and we loved the vibrant feel and tried several items on their expansive menu. Wide array of cocktails to choose from. My husband enjoyed Penicillin which is a mix of Johnnie Walker black, honey, ginger, lemon, lagavulin peated whiskey. My daughter savored her Brazilian Lemonade which is a mix of rum, whole lime, and sweetened condensed milk. I had a Virgin Mojito which was refreshing. Another time I tried another zero-proof drink. I believe it was called Hey Hibiscus. Delicious appetizers that we enjoyed were: *Creole Crab & Spinach Dip served with corn tortilla chips. *Chili Citrus Calamari is crispy fried, sprinkled with chilis, szechuan peppercorn, and served with a citrus dip. *Truffle Fries freshly fried seasoned with truffle, herbs, grana padano, and served with garlic aioli. The main entrees were shareable too and we were delighted with the Peppercorn Ribeye which is this 45 day aged 14oz CAB® ribeye in brandy peppercorn sauce and served with buttered mashed potatoes and green beans. The healthier choices did not disappoint either: *Avocado Kale Salad with Salmon was delicious with crispy chickpeas, grilled avocado, pickled red cabbage, fennel chili crumb, grana padano, and lemon garlic dressing. *Szechuan Lettuce Wraps was this generous portion of chicken (our choice) in sweet and spicy szechuan glaze, sprinkled with a good amount of peanuts, wontons, korean chili sauce, and spicy yogurt. *Tuna Temaki was new on the menu and described as ocean wise™ ahi, toasted sesame, cucumber, serrano pepper, nori, green onion. We all wish we had a Cactus Club Cafe in the US. Google says they have one in Miami. Come to the San Francisco Bay Area with your solid 5 quality food, service and your upbeat, energetic and welcoming vibe!

I got to admit, I'm little disappointed they got rid of their 5 course menu. I wish they would have…read moreraised the prices for the 5 course and kept it. Now, you have to pay for EVERYTHING! Nothing is complimentary not even the bread! Prices aren't cheap either. It's a wee cheaper than fine dining restaurants in the city but you do almost pay fine dining prices. The service depends on who you have. They are all students and we came on opening day since the closure 2 years ago. Therefore, I think everything is new and all the students were nervous. The food was good and they do take care of the presentation and the quality. It was a nice experience. Would I come all the time???....no since it's no longer a great deal. The free parking is also limited. I might come once a year because it's a fun environment and experience. I really hope they bring back the 5 course option someday.

I went to both lunch buffet and dinner. Food was ok at both…read more ... so why the 2 stars? Well, I just quite didn't think it through and yes of course they are students and it's a classroom environment, so I should have expected it.... The servers/students that I encountered were sooooo nervous and it was just awkward the whole time with my interactions with them. Yes they tried their best. I just think that if you're going to enter the service industry you should have some social skills and enjoy talking to people! haha. Too much to expect?! :P
