After watching a…read moreservice online last week we thought we would give the 10am service a try and drove 30 minutes to Viera only to be treated as if the Church did not care. After dropping my wife off at the door she is handicapped and walks with a walker, I went and parked the car and met her inside. I was super excited as the Church was packed. That is when it all went wrong. 1) We saw an usher and I said 2 seats please and pointed out my wife's walker. He looked at us and very rudely said "I ain't got nothing for you" which was weird as there were several reserved seats right in front of us. 2) So, we decided to just leave as we did not want to burden someone who cared less for us. 3) Upon walking out we gave the person holding the door the papers he gave to us as we walked in. We told him the usher said "he ain't got nothing for us". Instead of trying to help he then said, "have a good day" and I said, "thank you for making us feel wanted". 4) Several Church volunteers overheard and just said, "have a good day". 5) As we were approaching our vehicle a gentleman named Steve asked, is everything alright? We explained what had taken place and he was very apologetic and offered to escort us back in and help find seats. At that point we were already upset that the usher was so rude and declined his offer. He again apologized and said as a Christian that is not how you treat people. I know this is long winded, but I am still in shock as I write this 3 1/2 hours later. We are both in our middle 50's and my wife is handicapped from leukemia walking with a walker, and we were treated so rudely by an usher. Besides Steve from outside, not one single person offered to assist or help. This is clearly NOT the way JESUS would be treating people. Do Better Church of Viera Do Better.

I have been here for about three years now. I love that my trek is over. This church, filled with the Word of God , will inspire you to hopefully ask Jesus into your life ,receive the utterance of the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues and get Baptized in the name of Jesus. This church led by Pastor Myers is amazing. The services are always Holy Spirit filled. Everyone is welcoming and any need you have can be addressed here by someone, if you want. Pastor Myers is a very kind godly man. He loves his flock and cares about people across the globe. You must come to this church at least a few times and I'm sure you wont look around for another!!

Most UM congregations in Brevard are quite a bit more conservative than in other areas, due to the local demographics. I visited here with a friend last week, who was searching for a solid mainline/progressive church in the area. He and his partner have been United Methodists for many years, but will probably need to look at other options in this area. Beachside, there aren't many options, but there is a Presbyterian church by the bridge, and a Lutheran church just south of 5th ave.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Church is the oldest church in Melbourne, and has a rich history. Of course, there are concerns in terms of the Episcopal Church being Apostate in many dioceses. However, the Central Florida Diocese is faithful to the word, and this parish reflects that. It is also faithful to the historic liturgy common in Anglican Churches. You will find beautiful traditional worship as well as a solid sermon from its Biblically faithful clergy. This is the church to go to if you are craving both faithfulness and traditional beauty, which you do not find all that often in today's world of churches.
