They didn't protect the windows from the stain. I pointed this out and they returned to clean the windows. There are still smudges on the glass that they weren't able to remove. My front steps have multiple stain marks on them now. I asked Jody to fix the problem. He said he would be over during the week of 8/4 to correct it. I haven't seen or heard from him since. There are multiple areas on the siding with incomplete coverage as shown below. The quality of the work was far below what I expected based on the project cost.

Jody and his team went above and beyond, helping with color recommendations, sourcing and installing new trim that needed to be replaced and even staining new wood trim to ensure the updates to the room matched the history that we were keeping. Most of all though, we appreciated Jody and the team's flexibility. As this was part of a broader remodel, other projects on the house had some twists and turns. Aaron was extremely responsive from the beginning of the project, from the initial visit, obtaining an estimate, determining start dates, adding any additional services or product needed up to and through to completion of the project. When we were ready to do some painting and replacing the floors in our house I was a bit less happy. It took a month for them to complete the job and looking around I find some damage that was done to a cabinet they they removed to lay the new tile and grout "stains" on my stainless refrigerator and stainless stove that I am unable to remove. I also feel like the guys laying the floor tiles and the wood were not did not always arrive at the time we were charged for. The gentlemen who did the painting was there just about every morning when I left for work. All that being said, my house looks beautiful. What was supposed to be a simple two-week job stretched into a three-month ordeal, from Memorial…read moreDay to Labor Day. During that time, Top Notch Roofing caused our home to flood, causing the bedroom ceiling to collapse and requiring full insulation and ceiling replacement. The living room developed two additional leaks due to their shoddy work, which meant more ceiling repairs and repainting the entire open-concept space. Our front yard was left destroyed after equipment and materials sat there for over 90 days. It wasn't just a mess; the material sat there for an entire summer; killing our lawn in the process. The crew was inconsistent at best; often no-shows, with little to no cleanup when they did come. When asked, they said they were from "Lowell"; which we assumed was local (Lowell, VT), but it turned out they were commuting from Lowell, MA. To our house in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Gabe and Drew built porch stairs that weren't up to code. When Dave, the owner, finally came to assess their work, he made them tear it out and rebuild it, but not before we were treated to the comedy gold that was Drew jumping up and down on the steps in an attempt to prove they were "fine." Dave also made everybody clean up the front yard, which took close to two hours between four people (Drew, Gabe, Jessica, Dave). Despite claiming on their website to be "fully insured," we learned that their insurance only covers subcontractors, not their own crew. So any work performed by Gabe or Drew or supervised by them isn't covered. Their own insurance company assessed $86,000 in damages to our home, and those are just the parts they acknowledged. We just had the exterior trim on our two story home painted by this company…read more The owner came to review the work to be done and gave us an estimate of cost and when he would start the work. He called before starting the work to give us a few days notice. He began the work in the time frame that he had quoted us. Once he arrived with his crew, they worked full time until the work was done. They placed drop cloths over deck, porch and even the tall shrubs. There are extensive perennials around the house and they were careful to not destroy any of them. No mess was made anywhere. They painted neatly and fixed areas of soft/damaged wood. The owner also made sure that all of the windows that were painted could be opened before leaving. The price estimate quoted was fair and that is what he charged us. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who asked for a reference and I would hire them again to do other painting as needed. If you hire this company, bring out the crew some ice water on a regular basis. They worked in 90+ temps for three days and needed lots of cold water.
