Came by on our layover to Paris. Clean club. Very busy due to the Christmas Holiday. Service was prompt, nonetheless. Food and drinks can only be ordered via QR code. But, they're on top of it. They were also great about cleaning up. Food was pretty good. The kiddos LOVED the curry. We ordered it 3 times. We also had the spaghetti with meatballs, turkey dinner and soup. ALL delicious. We highly recommend.

If you have dragon pass or priority pass, please don't give the workers a hard time! When they say the lounge is full, it is literally full! They allowed westjet members with status in but there was a wait for priority pass and dragon pass members. While I do agree that there needs to be a better system for a line instead of a person trying to remember who was next (like an online waitlist system like other priority pass lounges have), people here are really nice and they really are walking around the lounge trying to figure out if there's space to let others in. We came on a Saturday at around 3, and there were about a 5 group wait. Half an hour in a couple of parties left and we were let in. Yay! Patience is the key! We had two large plates, an appetizer, and two drinks each. The food and drinks were ordered on a QR code and came out pretty quickly. The drinks were yummy! The food was good for lounge food and the appetizer we were a little confused about because we thought there was cheese but maybe not? Overall a good lounge experience even though it's busier than other lounges I've been to.

Upon entering the WestJet Elevation Lounge they ask for your boarding pass. You can only enter 3 hours before flight. You have to be a Silver or higher Member to enter for no fee. You can enter if WestJet Member not at those levels can enter for a fee. The lady's at the front were very friendly. We sat down and scanned the menu at the table and ordered drinks and food. Non alcoholic drinks you serve yourself. The food came out within 15 minutes. The atmosphere is very layer back and relaxing. All the staff very friendly really enjoy our stay before our flight. We will definitely be returning.

If it weren't so crowded I could see how awesome this flagship space that Westjet created for their passengers could be. I had a hiccup in my flight and they were able to help me at the welcome desk as well. There are a limited number of options for food by order but they are diverse and they are filling. I'm not sure if that's lingering covid protocol or if the self-service really is gone for good. The lounge is conveniently located just after security and from there you can head to whatever gate you need to get to (except transborder, of course).

More impressive vibes than the American Express lounges that I've been to in the US, this West Jet lounge has wait staff instead of a buffet service. Unfortunately the food is not as good as AmEx lounge food and there are fewer options. But free food is free food, and the staff are so kind! To be consistent with the other restaurants I review, I'll give this 3 stars because of the food, but I am 5 stars satisfied with the space as a lounge (ignoring the food).

They even have a shower room, though I didn't use it. My only real complaint is the food. I was there around noon, and the main dish was beef tacos. Since I don't eat beef--and I know many others don't either--it felt limiting. They did have a bit of chicken mixed into the rice for the tacos, but that was it. I think it would be great if they offered at least two main dish options to accommodate different dietary preferences. Because of that, I ended up sticking to side dishes like mac and cheese, salad, and a few others. On the plus side, the drink selection was excellent, with options like soy milk, V8 vegetable juice, sodas, and more. The bar area was also very nice, and the staff were attentive, quickly clearing plates and keeping the space tidy. Overall, it's a wonderful lounge to relax in, and I'd happily stop here again--I just wish the food had more variety and better flavor.

The lounge itself is fairly spacious with plenty of seating. The staff is welcoming and friendly. I had a morning flight and they had a fair selection of food items which included egg bites, diced potatoes, sausage patties, bagels/bread, an oatmeal bar, donuts, and a coffee machine. The lounge is clean and there was an attendant who came over to clear plates periodically. The bathrooms are also clean and I even saw a shower stall. Overall, a great place to relax in before a flight or during a layover.

My apps and sites have it as SwissAir Chinook Lounge but it's listed here as Servisair's Lounge. Whatever it is, the word Chinook should basically tell you that it is at YYC. The Chinook is located in the Domestic flight area of Concourse A. If you find yourself lost, just jump on the YYC Link shuttle service and get off at the end/beginning of the track. Walk through to the food court area at A and to your left is a set of stairs up or the elevator to the Chinook Lounge. I was looking forward to the place but it was a bit of a let down. It was warm with the mid-afternoon sun was setting and it was pretty warm inside. The fireplace was also going pretty well. It's ok though, take off the winter layers and stay awhile! Still a bit stuffy though. The food and drinks are located together. I didn't really participate too much in the food and drinks. The food was pretty off putting. Inside the fridge were large containers of pre-made sandwiches. You open the lid, get a pair of unsanitary tongs and lift out the little slivers of bread and fillings. There is a fridge that held cheese and cold cuts if you wanted to put something together. Some spirits were offered. I didn't bother. Open another fridge and there is some salad stuff and a vat of potato salad from a tub. Suffice it to say that I'm going to skip the food. Let's look for a nice pint of beer. There was a single tap and I just didn't want to bother. Sat down at a table, had some veggies and tried to do some pre-work before getting on the flight to YVR. I think the WiFi was non-existent. I had to use the Free-YYC one. I've been to the Maple Leaf Lounge at most of the Canadian airports. In YYC, MLL is far superior to this offering. I was here because I flew WJ and not AC. Also because my status with AMEX and Priority Pass allows me into the place without charge. If I had to pay to be here, it would have been a waste. 2.5 Stars. Probably will fly out of this place on AC when possible. If not, I guess I'll be back here again...hohum... Cheers/Jeers - you pick.

It's a nice place to enjoy a coffee or mixed drink, but otherwise not worth paying. Update: March 2019 Since Westjet took over management of this lounge the food and drink is much better. I had a lot of time to kill so I figured by the time I buy dinner, and a drink at one of the airport restaurants the price would be similar. Plus I would have the added benefit of a quiet atmosphere. I was right on the quiet part. There were only a few people in the lounge so there was plenty of comfy sitting room. However, I was wrong on the food part. They had a very limited selection of foods of sustenance. They had potato bacon soup, which was ok, and some wraps and sandwiches. The sandwiches looked and tasted similar to a pulled pork - but I am not exactly sure. They also had some fresh fruits and veggies - which did not appear fresh at all. The only dip they had to accompany the veggies was packaged Kraft ranch dressing. Overall, the food was disappointing. On the positive side they did have a large assortment of snack items including chips, pretzels, nuts, and cookies. As well as an assortment of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Overall the $36 cost is probably worth it if you value quiet, and will be there long enough to take advantage of the drinks and snacks. But if you are looking for a quality meal, this is not the place. If you are an American Express card holder (as well as some other cards/clubs) entry is complimentary.

There are occasionally some rowdies who have paid their way in before a Vegas flight who have no manners or respect for any of the people around them and the lounge attendants don't do anything about it while everyone around are giving them the stink eye which they don't notice because they are oblivious to anybody else except themselves. But I digress. This is a great place to grab a glass of wine and get some work done or even sit back in a comfortable leather chair with a newspaper and just relax. There is always a golf game or some sort of sporting event playing quietly in the background on the tv's through-out and it is nice 'white noise'. You can't get a meal here but they do offer cold sandwiches, fruit, vegetables, cheese and assorted crunchy snacks along with various beverages. I will take it any day!

There's usually a great deal of variation between one visit and the next... even within one visit... That being said, when it's good its EXCELLENT and when it's bad its like "where am I and what is this place?". Let's call it the YYC lounge lottery for now.. Huge bonus points for the sophisticated and complete gluten free menu. I've been glutarded from a very young age and have often found myself sidelined to a salad bar while everyone else feasts on whatever delicious things they want.. This restaurant is a progressive one (in the dietary sense). Service is good. Sometimes. Other times its just awful. Again with the lottery. Luck is a fickle mistress. Now my pet peeve that is consistent across all my visits here (dozens and dozens of visits): This hotel has a large business traveler component. That includes me, and my associates. Every time I check into the Delta (with its itty bitty rooms), the last thing one wants to do is sit in your cramped room all night with your laptop and various electronic devices that are corporate necessities. Far more preferable would be to go down to the YYC lounge and have a few drinks and eat, and work on some tasks on your laptop/ipad/tablet/cell phone.. BUT, the management here seems to have completely overlooked the fact that these devices need electricity.. There isn't a single electric outlet to be found., So after a long flight, with your devices all discharged, you either have to sit right at the bar (often fully occupied), or sit and wait for a full charge in your room before you can come down and relax. This is HIGHLY inconvenient.. When I asked them why they mumbled something about "safety". Puleezee, wake up and smell the 2014.. Starbucks and coffee shops and Denny's and all sorts of restaurants world wide that are with the times often have many outlets available to customers.. So if you're going to lie, at least lie convincingly. I know it may seem like a simple thing, but when you're exhausted and just want to chillax in a lounge, the last thing you want to be worrying about constantly is how you're going to keep your devices charged (for whatever reason you're using them).. To sum it up, nothing I've mentioned here is a deal breaker. I will continue flying through YYC and stay at the Delta and drink at the YYC lounge at night.. I just want to say it like it is and point out that just like the aging and decaying YYC airport, this lounge could stand to get with the times as well. PS: Try the chicken wings, they rock
