I truly love this store.Everyone is so friendly and very helpful! The manager, Jose Luis is a really nice man who seems to really have everything under control the store is very clean and truly they have the best produce! Joana is the sweetest lead ever. She always helps me get through the line never making me feel bad and always with a smile. I can be a lot and I don't always understand how to do things lol. Jean Carlos in the produce department always goes above and beyond! this is one young man who truly does his job so well and really take so much pride something you don't see very much anymore. The only reason I came here was for the bakery inside because I was looking for Mexican bread in Elgin and previously I had stop at a location near the casino and the bread was stale so I left and this is the nearest next bakery. The bakery is alright not something I would recommend but if you just in the mood for a piece of bread I guess. Make sure you feel how soft the bread is with the tongs because they mix stale bread in with fresh. While walking looking for the bakery section I was looking at prices of produce and meat and there pretty expensive. Some of the produce fruit and vegetables are not in great shape and they overpriced. They have a lot of Mexican products like Doritos and coke and they put a sticker on them so you know and they raise the price on those items. The only good thing this place had was the Mexican corn in a cup when you walking out. The corn fresh off the stick and they cut it and put in cup and prepare it how you like and the chicarrón with its veggies and fresh Mexican refreshing waters. read more

I don't like this location, the parking lot is always majorly full and uneven. The inside, same, too crowded and clustered. The food is not good or prepared right, compared to the other location. Some of the fruits, veggies etc are always old. Not fresh like the other one. Anyways this one could use improvement. read more

Found: Puerto Rican coffee!!! Yaucono brand coffee and we are thrilled this place is just 30 minutes south of our home. We love PR coffee and now know where to purchase it locally. There is a HUGE Mexican bakery in the back of the store. Take a red tray and a set of tongs then open the doors to serve yourself any of the concha sweet breads, sweet empanadas, cookies, donuts... We will be back to try more goodies! Nice clean store with helpful employees and easy to read aisle signs. read more

Easy parking, lots of sales on produce, nice variation and easy layout. We came to buy ingredients for spring rolls and found everything (except for bean sprouts) very easily. We asked a worker where to find them...she actually didn't know what bean sprouts were. Aside from that, my friends dad drives over 30 minutes to shop at this location. Some things are definitely pricier here than at jewel or Aldi within a 1 minute drive away, but the produce is usually pretty fresh and their bakery has a lot of good options. Opted for a ham, cheese, and jalapeño stuffed roll today and it had excellent flavor. French bread is a little flaky but usually pretty fresh. read more

While they do have a good selection, the last time I was there a teen was in the store for 1/2 hour and not one employee told him to put a mask on, per the state guidelines. It's evident this store doesn't care about the health of its customers. I won't be going back there. read more

So glad to have found a market in the area that has FRESH produce. It's clean, plentiful, and the variety of produce is awesome! Plenty of parking too which makes for one less thing to worry about. The staff is super friendly and helpful and will actually walk you over to what you're looking for instead of just pointing or trying to explain it. Only downside is they don't have low cal versions of goods in the aisles but that's expected in markets like these so nothing to deduct any stars over. Oh, and they have a juice bar! And a bakery section that I close my eyes and walk by although mmm mm does it smell good. read more

Great market. We are blessed to have this store in our community. There is an army of employees who do an excellent job keeping up with ensuring freshness of produce. Employees are friendly but sometimes do not speak English. I am non Spanish speaking, but that's ok because there are many friendly folks around who can answer questions. I love the exotic fruits, good prices and well, Its just comfortable to shop there. There was a time I did not like this store with blaring loud Spanish music and wasn't too friendly... but new management made all the difference. I just moved to the area from the city, and I am very impressed with this store. It's like if you combine a great City produce place with a place like Mariano's or Whole Foods. Smaller store, less of that boxed crap that no one wants and TONS of fresh Produce, Baked goods, and meats. You can get cuts of meat here that you can't get anywhere. THE PRICES ARE GREAT!!! The only thing that isn't so great is that their produce doesn't seem to be organic, or at least it isn't labeled that way, and they don't seem to offer organic alternatives. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this market. The first time that I entered this establishment, I was in awe of all the wonderful things that they had there. Firstly, their produce is displayed wonderfully. The prices are usually decent, and they have some produce there that you may not see in large supermarkets. I got some delicious tomatoes and avocados there for a reasonable price. I have not yet purchased any meat at this store, but the meat looked fantastic. Again, they had things that you might not usually find in large stores. I cannot wait to try their boneless skinless chicken breast. Their bakery is absolutely amazing. Their tres leches and there tiramisu were very delicious. They also have a ton of sweetbreads there. These are all reasonably priced. I would also like to mention that they have a great Asian section at this store. I found some coconut milk and curry paste there that happens to be my favorite brands. I do recommend that you check this place out. I will definitely be returning here soon. read more

i mainly shop here for the fruits and veggies. great selection! i've never gotten bad produce from this store. everything is fresh and tasty and their prices are decent...much cheaper than jewel. they seem to have a nice meat department and their baked goods will make your mouth water if you're into the sweets. i wouldn't buy regular pre-packaged/canned grocery items from them, though. $5 for a box of cereal?! c'mon. read more

The one and only reason I come here is for the Elotes. They are life changing. I suggest if you have not yet tried one, that you try one when you are here. The stand in the front of the store by the window has grown from a small table to a large setup, and while they have expanded, the quality of the food has not lessened one bit! Used to get burritos here all the time and I used to tell everyone they were some of the best in elgin. I went back after an 8 or so month hiatus and something has changed in the quality control. EVERY SINGLE BITE of my carnitas burrito had a big piece of bone in it. It was disgusting. Sad that things have changed. read more

Awesome selection of produce and you will not find better pricing on fresh fruits and vegetables in any other supermarket. Everyone has always been super polite and helpful. Clean and well organized. The bakery looks amazing, and the deli is stocked with every kind of meat, seafood, or poultry you can imagine. As far as the regular grocery items are concerned there is a good selection, but prices are comparable to what you's find anywhere else. My kids and me ran the Fox Trot and with our packets we each received a $5 coupon from this place, the coupon states "$5 OFF ANY PURCHASE no minimum purchase required. no cash back." thats it nothing else so when I when in to used them I was told one per family! I told them it does not say that anywhere on the coupon, so they bring one of the owners of the store to tell me the same thing. that I can only use one and then go to the other store across town to use another one or maybe give to family members!!!!!!!! why would i go to the other side of town to use it.
