Now, though, you can't open any cat compartment on your own. Compartments are kept locked, and an employee must unlock and stay with you. Although it's less convenient, it's a lot safer. Also, make sure you sign in and get a sticker from the front desk, so everyone knows you have the right to be there. The adoption process was quick and smooth, and employees were friendly and helpful. The fee for adopting a kitten is always $45, and adult cats like Nellie are $5 (right now). This includes altering, microchipping, appropriate vaccinations, vet records, and a small bag of cat food. Wow! To me, Nellie is special, but all the animals are deserving of love, and the shelter is always in danger of overcrowding in the summer. Maybe you'll find your new best friend there!

Their prices are reasonable, and they provide advice without pressure. They have an app that makes refilling prescriptions and scheduling appointments very easy. Recently, due to an untreatable health condition, I had to put one of my rabbits down, and the staff was beyond caring and considerate throughout the entire process. One vet tech even brought bananas in for my rabbit on his last day. Overall, I felt they went above and beyond to make him as comfortable as possible. Because of this, as long as I live in the Triangle, I will continue taking my rabbits to Care First.

She helped us bring a rescued high energy miniature poodle puppy into our house with our other dog. Our puppy was adopted at 9 months and had no prior training. It was unbelievable how quickly Jesi helped us teach him some much needed manners. Jesi helped us identify potential areas to work on his mental stimulation which helped channel some of his energy. She provided us with written handouts to help us work on his training throughout the week and checked in with us regularly. She is highly recommended!

She was good about being in contact with how the dogs did each time and she filmed videos that we could watch on our own time to see what she did and what we should work on. Our dogs absolutely loved her and we have seen a huge improvement in their behavior and responsiveness to training! We also feel more confident in our ability to continue their training!
