I made an appointment to have a dress altered for my daughter's wedding with Elina. The dress was in need of many alterations and Elina's staff was up to the task. She and her staff were kind and efficient. The dress fits me perfectly and their craftsmanship is top notch. I would highly recommend this shop for any tailoring needs, but make an appointment before going in (they are a busy shop). read more

I cam into your shop yesterday. I was asked to wait by the long bench by by the dressing room. Three customers came in after me, each customer was asked to go into the fitting room and the team proceeded to help them with their orders. After 15 mins of waiting, I asked the clerk why I wasn't being helped and she said to just sit and wait. I backed my bag and indicated that I was leaving. She didn't care at all. I left wondering if the reason I didn't get helped was because I was the only ethnic person in the shop. I have lived in Edina for 20 years, I never had such disturbing service. read more

I was so delighted a friend recommended Elina's tailoring! Almost everything I buy needs alterations. I trust Elina to see small details of fit that make a garment perfect. For example, I brought in a long merino jersey sweater that needed the sleeves shortened. She recommended tapering the sleeves, as well. It elevated the to piece into something really chic. I had bought a pair of light weight wool trousers I wasn't entirely sure about. Elina knew just how much to take them in so that the proportion was correct. Both pieces have become some of the items I wear most often. The details and finishing iare perfect. The service is exceptional. I cannot imagine going to any other tailoring service. Cut apart a dress and returned it missing a cuff. Said she could fix it so I took it back and she cut off the OTHER cuff. It was a ruffled cuff that was decorative and an integral part of the design and she charged me more than the cost of the dress for alterations and didn't refund me a dime for ruining this dress. I should have known she couldn't put a cuff BACK on so she instead cut the other one off so at least the sleeves would match, I guess. She then implied that I didn't give her enough time to fix the dress - in my opinion she should not have taken the dress if she couldn't do the job. read more

I'm attending my cousin's wedding this weekend and waited until the last minute to get my suit tailored. I wasn't sure it would be possible, but Elina and her team helped me out. My suit was perfectly tailored and looked and felt amazing. They managed to get it done in record time, well in advance of the wedding. I would recommend Elina's Tailoring and Design to anyone. went to pick up my pants that were unlined and just needed to be let down an inch. This was a 10 day process. Elina was at front desk when I went in she asked me if I had received a text, I said no. I assumed that from my slip they would be ready to be pick up on the day. she then told me they had not started my pants I was a bit bummed as I was running errands and now had to come back, this was not a big deal until Elina told me she had some sort of family emergency, not quite sure what this has to do with my pants not be started. I left and had a bad feeling so I called and said I would like to come back and get my pants and get a refund, at that point Elina yelled at me over the phone expanded on what her reason was for this, continued to argue with me and then she hung up on me. Shocked I needed to return to the store to get my pants. As I entered she was helping a gentleman- she stopped what she was doing with him and in front of many people told me to check my phone as she already credited me then comes around the counter hands me my pant and continues to tell me I am not sympathetic, that she makes a-lot of people happy, continues to berate me in Front of other customer. Im sure she does make people happy but Elina perhaps needs a refresh on customer service how business works and just plain etiquette. She ought to think about cleaning up the space as well. read more

My haircut made my few strands look fuller. After Leanne trimmed my beard, I looked in the mirror and saw a man ten years younger than I am. I had a spring in my step and felt great. Leanne's technique was as good as any hair stylist I've seen in NYC, Sydney, Tokyo, or Seattle. Prices at Bespoke were very fair. Elina is an artist with an extraordinary sense of style. She is a perfectionist and all her clients leave her shop with beautifully fitting and flattering clothes. The title of tailor does not do justice to her abundant skills and creativity. Elina sees possibilities and has the patience and talent to work magic to make her clients look their best. Elina has been re-engineering clothing for me for over 25 years and I would not consider the purchase of an investment piece without her opinion. Last year she restructured a coat that was two sizes too small and her design of the re-made coat is far superior to its original style. She remade a 12 year old skirt last fall into a timeless piece that I will wear the rest of my life. And, she just finished restyling an organza gown that was too small into a bespoke and much more attractive dress that I feel confident wearing. Elina and her team do beautiful work! I have brought in clothes to be altered in the past. This time I brought in a shearling coat that I have had from the 1990s for her to fix the buttons as they were loose, ripping the material of the coat and one was missing. She gave me five pretty buttons she found that were a little bigger and a little darker updating the look of the coat. I love the result!
